I think this is great news, however it does make the decision to let Lee go look even more suspicious. I might even stop my boycott on going to home games next season !! Just a couple of views/observation on the comments of this thread. I also wonder if the joint manager system is a good one, I'd much prefer a manager & assistant. So, Lee can be a little hot headed some times. At least he can use this to install some fight & passion into his team. And why on earth does anyone need to mention Lee's past (especially coming from someone who advocates positivity not negativity on here). It's done & dusted & to be fair the crowd took him to heart after the initial decision to take him on first time round. I'm pretty sure Lee reads this board, so welcome back mate.

This is in no way a support for our present board.....
BUT, be careful about what you wish for. Yes, we'd all like to see this shower of s**t disappear; but if the did it on masse, where would that leave us ??
Company law is complicated. Would it mean the company closed ??

I'm sorry, but some of these comments are far from helpful.... for whatever reason the guy did not get a flyer & not one of you have offered any info about it. There are also some of us who are boycotting home marches at present & I'm guessing the said flyer may be looking for some form of support which we may be willing to offer. Dare I say that this is incredibly bad PR !!

Does anyone know the site (I think on the east side of the city) that the council suggested the board looked at as an alternative to Perdiswell ?

Agree absolutely. You can't,in my humble opinion,be dead against a proposal one minute and then all for it the next, unless you have an ulterior motive. Haphazard Hampson obviously has an ulterior motive, as he always has: that is the long term future of the club, not that he's achieved anything since becoming chairman. It would be laughable if it were not so serious !!

How can we persuade those major shareholders of past times to come out of their hermit caves, accept the will of the current majority and NOT demand a poll vote? It will either take a massive face to face persuasion campaign or out-and-out bribery! Otherwise we're all wasting our time. I think you're probably wrong Tim, over the years the proxy votes have simply been given to the board to do what they wish.

Somehow I can't see this not happening if the board are supporting the motion. I cannot remember the last time a vote went against the board as they appear to have a massive proxy vote. However, I'd love to know what has caused this u turn.... is it just that they want to rid themselves of the responsibilities of running the club ?
Yes good luck to Bromsgrove. Interesting that the capacity is 3,000 when our game with Kiddy was capped at only 2,000.
Perhaps they need the money & we don't !!

We are jumping the gun here, the Board have reassured shareholders that they will not be seeking voluntary relegation, and they won't be reforming. At least that's what we as shareholders have to read into their silence. If there is no bad news, and no financial issues that shareholders need to be aware of, we can only assume that everything is fully under control. I feel reassured, as does every other shareholder. Hahaha, such a sense of humour Jem. What's even more funny is that some people will actually believe you mean this !

Read the last paragraph in his notes, he says he's stepping down now. So, if he's stepping down , what's stopping him? Probably because no one wants to take the job on !! What I'm finding it hard to get my head around is: if the object of the board is to oversee The Club's demise, why are they not doing it more quickly ? It would only take a simple move like doubling the playing budget to put us out of business.... Job done & this would give them the excuse of 'one last chance of success'. BAFFLING!

What would be the main reasons not to have Lee Hughes as the manager ? Because it sounds like a good move to me, he will need to do a good job if his intention is to move onto management eventually.

At the risk of sounding like I'm taking sides thatloudbloke, I don't know you but I do know Jem & have done for many years & he not only has he got the club in its future form at heart, does talk factually, sincerely & without what you appear to believe malice. Talking as you did (tongue in cheek or not) regarding ticket allocation on a site like this is complete stupidity & Jem is quite right in telling you so. I am a shareholder of WCFC & am as you may be aware boycotting home games because of what's going on. BUT if there was an option, (after season ticket holders) for shareholders to be allocated tickets before any other supporters for this particular match; I would buy some purely & simply to deprive the likes of you from being able to attend. Rant over !!

What is wrong with some of these people Jem ? A football club representing our city, 'trading as' or with a completely different name will still be a football club representing our city & as you rightly say, like many other reformed clubs it will keep our heritage. Some of these comments must be spul destroying for you & everyone else striving hard to ensure a future for us. Keep up the good work.

Many of us have suspicions about the board being corrupt & staying in place to conceal damaging information, but does anyone have any proof at all of untoward/criminal dealings ? I have had a few conversations with a friend who is convinced that the fraud squad would (if informed) investigate.

Can someone please explain. In 3 years we will be skint. Wherever we play, how can we afford the rent. The proposed reformation of the club seems to be an impossible dream. The proposed reformation is far from a dream..... In my opinion, it is the only way forward !

Not that I think 6 ways is an ideal option, if an option at all. BUT I am interested in the financial implications. Have I missed something regarding the costs ? Does anyone actually know what the costs are or is everyone assuming that it will be more expensive ? If this move is on the cards; surely our super efficient business savvy board of directors will have ensured that it is an economically viable move for us !!
