All I asked was: what did the club do towards making non league day a success......
From all these comments it would as usual appear to be virtually nothing at all. The board know little or nothing about football & even less about non league so how do they think they can run our club without the volunteers they've binned !! The board do not actually support their own club with any passion or they'd attend every match home & away & interact with other normal supporters.

thesecondjack, as you'll know doubt know I am boycotting home games. BUT you said 'but cannot knock the initiative to try to get more through the turnstiles'...... Do you mean the non league day ? Or do you mean the board are doing something I haven't heard of ? If it is the latter, I would consider ending my boycott. The non league day offers for other club season ticket holders and the family ticket. It's certainly not a game changer from a boycotting point of view, but in the past the club has done very little/sod all with non league day - this year they actually came up with something to try and bring extra people turning up. Nice to hear they're trying something..... What was it ?

Perhaps The Chairman, The Board & their happy little band of sheep would be happy if they had 2 votes each for the 1st year hahaha !!!

We havent had a club shop since we left SGL, and I don't remember you being involved? I remember Wayne Henley doing shed loads of work, and Rob Cocklin photographing and cataloging everything, but I don't remember you. Now, now Jem...... He's a supporter & goes to home games to see the lads !!

Look at my post 'lack of fund raising' The club has benifited for years from many of of us who are now completely fed up with the mess this board has put us in. Try doing what some of us used to, put the time & money in, instead of bleating & asking why some facilities are not open. These comments make my blood boil & I was only a very small contributor........ God knows what some of the more active 'fans' must feel like !!!!

Have any of you with rose tinted glasses asked yourselves what can we do about raising money for the club, rather than being 'just a supporter' who may or may not have the future in mind ? I notice that Hereford have launched an iPhone 6 cover......, perhaps you & your heroes on the board could start trying to raise funds to compensate for the likes of me & many others who are boycotting home games. JUST A THOUGHT !!!!!!!!

You've missed a few obvious ones there Verner ! AND I know at least one of those would not hand his proxy to the board.

I cannot understand any 'ordinary' supporter being opposed to a new club being formed. The chairman has quite clearly stated that WCFC Ltd has only got 2-3 years before it folds, with no plan b to save it. At that point you will not have a club to support, unless the trust can perform miracles & persuade this bunch of idiots that the only way to save the club is community based. Hampson has also made it clear that the board are opposed to that. Even if we do become community based the club will not be the WCFC that you presently support. I really do think some of you should start 'looking outside the box' & give the trust the support it needs to try to perform that miracle....... Rant over !!

I wonder how many people would turn up to see a 'new' club ? I've never been an advocate of dropping down the leagues, (as some of you will well know). But, this may be our only option, be it in the very near future or when this board finally kills WCFC off. I so wish I had the time let alone the knowledge to help get this moving, because for once I disagree with Mr Pitt. I firmly believe this needs to happen now !!!

So, are there any pitches in Worcester that could be (fairly cheaply) upgraded to Midland Football League standard? The University perhaps ? Is there not a small stadium at Nunnery Sports ? AND could it be possible that 6 ways could become an option if we are to form a CBS ? I realise that mr Duckworth has little input up there now, but I do know (from personal experience NOT hearsay) that at one time he would have nothing whatsoever to do with WCFC Ltd because of the way the board at the time & previously conducted their business.

Jem yet again you assume too much, and again you are so wrong in your philosophy, but hey you carry on believing what you want, so much that you say is such garbage, & if only you knew the whole truth about myself & family and commitment to WCFC... but you carry on in your world watching the oval ball game as you seem to think this is the best way forward... Unfortunately you don't know Jem personally or 'the trouble maker he was & still is accused of regularly' too well or you may just listen (read) to what he is saying. I can assure you that if more people had listened to the likes of him, Rich, Ealing & a few others some years back this company would not be in the sorry state it is today & you never know; but we (WCFC supporters) may just have been seeing our team climbing the leagues by now rather than seeing a struggling outfit fighting for league status season after season. The current board may or may not be corrupt as indeed some of the past boards may have been. But the fact is, they are guiding us to oblivion. At the risk of contradicting/upsetting some of these 'trouble makers' : I will always put some sort of defence forward for Dave Boddy. I personally think he just wanted to be a part of a really successful team, he's a really nice guy & lost his family due to his commitment but was I think extremely naive & led by an unscrupulous mentor. I still believe that somehow there is an agenda being followed by the present board that is somewhat unsavoury, if not illegal !! Wake up & smell the coffee mate.

I don't have spies, this is Worcester City FC, not MI5, I'm neither James Bond or Ernst Blofeld - and have you any idea where your money is going? I hope you don't seriously still believe that its going into the playing side? Its so easy being a board of directors at a football team, it doesn't matter how poorly you perform, how badly you behave, you're safe in your position as the fans will support you thick and thin! And there is no difference between supporting the football and supporting the company. Fans will forever be distracted from the truth, and then come running with "if only we'd known, if only someone had told us what was going on!" As Frank Abagnale Jr. (one of the greatest con men in history) said "You just need to keep dazzling them with the pinstripes!" meaning, you just need to divert the eye from the truth with a shiny distraction, and in the case of WCFC, it's a game of football - works every time, every season. Unfortunately the "helping the club through thick and thin" attitude has probably cost the club £7 million in assets and left us penniless and homeless, if more people had listened back then instead of "helping the club through thick and thin" then we had a chance of changing things for the better. They just said things like "I'll just keep paying to watch the football" and spat at us! Lovely hey? Meanwhile the board are able to continue doing what they wish to do in the background, getting tacit help from those who want to support the club through thick and thin. Regardless of whether they're asked to by the Chairman, a Director, Kev Preece, or a bloke down the pub. You'd probably cross a picket line just as quickly. Still, its only 7 million quid hey? It's only the loss of an old football ground that meant nothing to anyone, with no replacement ground anywhere in sight. It's easy to shout "resign" at Hampson in a big crowded room, but then when push comes to shove, you're there backing him and his board in the name of Carl and the lads. As Jesus ( not as big a con man, but a decent magician) said "He who is not with me, is against me" Your comment "sour grapes by a sad few" sums it up. I personally don't consider the likes of Rich, Paul, Niels, Jane, Simon, Jimbo, Mike to be a "sad few" in fact, they're not sad at all. You clearly didn't listen to a word that Jim Dale said at that Supporters Trust meeting the other night. Thank God for Exeter that those guys got enough supporters to say "f**k it, lets do it" instead of continually falling for the pleas of "we need you to pay more money and help the lads and support the team" year after year. They had the balls to distance themselves from the club they supported through thick and thin, and I salute those guys, and they had all the con men and magicians sat on the Board down there! HERE, HERE !!

I can't understand why these people would want to 'up' their shareholding. The club has no assets, so surely they would have no extra value from buying more shares. Or are there hidden assets that we don't know about ?

Forgive me if I'm wrong...... But wasn't it voted ar the EGM, that the constitution will not be changed to allow any stakeholder holding more than 3,000 shares ?? This bloody board seems to think they can do what they want !!!!!!! Oh, actually they can. They simply use all the proxy's.

WHAT's RIGHT OR WRONG HERE ?? I agree wholeheartedly with Jem, in that we should not add any coffers to WCFC Ltd (bearing in mind that like Jem & many others I am also a shareholder). AND I do want to support the team. BUT I do believe that we should make a stand against the board's decision to 'carry on as is'. SO, where do we go from here ??

That is such a cynical thought Lord Ealing. My guess is that they are having in depth meetings with The Trust, who have been actually been excluded from said meetings !!

Sorry to those who were against my poll idea. I just thought it was a good chance to gauge fans' opinion, especially when Carl Heeley said there were a "number of characters" with "captain material" and he had not "fully discussed" who would be skipper. If he had told me Jackman would be the captain, then end of discussion. Anyway, for those who are interested, here's the result of the online poll... www.worcesternews.co.uk/sport/14649215.POLL_RESULT__Jackman_should_retain_City_captaincy/Sorry Geoff, but this was probably a far from an accurate result ! I like many others would not have voted on a speculation that the manager did not need. Like others my opinion is that the management team & players should not be exposed to this sort of negative exposure.

Jem, It is obvious the board is running the business at a loss with no apparent plan to turn it around, which is likely to lead to bancrupsy. knowing company law as well as some of you, I'd like to ask the question: is this legal ? If not, surely there must be some official action that we can take as shareholders.

Well the mountain is crumbling but the King is not giving up his Crown and wants talks with the Trust now after how he treated them, what a damn cheek! The terms are you talk to ALL shareholders and you treat them with respect from now on and come with the following offers:- 1. Your apology for your unprofessional conduct at both the 'Pre-EGM' and the 'EGM' and offer your resignation. 2. You agree to have the club solicitors find a more appropriate and relevant constitution to replace the contentious and out of date one currently in place and allow the trust and shareholders time to examine it and request amendments to anything unsatisfactory and a disadvantage of rights of any shareholders before it is approved. 3. That new constitution to include the rule that a shareholder is only allowed one vote no matter how many shares they own. (N.B. this is not negotiable but must be enshrined in the constitution.) 4. That shareholders must be allowed the right to redeem their shares for the money they invested for what ever reason. (N.B. this too is not negotiable and must too be enshrined in the constitution.) 5. That Board members can only serve for a maximum of five years in any one post on the Board and a total maximum of 10 years on the Board. 6. AGM's will from now on take place every year without fail and Board members will be expected to accept all questions from shareholders and have relevant information prepared and available at the said meeting and if shareholders are unhappy, reconvene a second meeting 14 days later to provide answers where shareholders were not happy with those provided at the first meeting before an 'AGM' can be approved and signed off. I expect the Trust might have their own requirements but for me as a shareholder this is what I need to see implemented if I am to have any future faith and loyalty in the Club otherwise it's the phoenix club for me! EE PLEASE DO NOT THINK I AM PRO THE BOARD, BUT you have asked for opinions. 1. I was not at the pre EGM so can't comment, as for the EGM apart from what may have been on the screen there was not AOB on the agenda, it was simply a vote. 2. Why pay an expensive law firm to do this job, when we could possibly offer free advertising to a local firm in lieu of fees. 3. Why should someone with 3,000 shares have the same vote as someone with just 1, it would not attract new investors. 4. Would agree with this if we were a profitable business. All the proxy 'against votes' on Thursday could bankrupt us. 5. We probably have way under the required number of board members now, people simply do not come forward for the job. 6. Absolutely right. Emotions are running far too high at the moment, most of us need to take a step back & think more logically. In my opinion, the trust are doing this on our behalf. Stay away from home matches, stop supporting the various fund raising schemes etc is an option to hit the club in the pocket. But I personally think this is another decision that we should be guided by the trust who I am sure will be considering already. Between them they have a wealth of knowledge, masses of dedication, some real experts & possibly more important the will to win. I personally go to very few home matches since leaving the lane. But would instead of going those few times happily donate my entrance fee to the trust...... What do people think of that as an idea to follow ?
