I heard that Lee Hughes interview putting himself forward for the manager's post: my reaction - no! no! no!

What would be the main reasons not to have Lee Hughes as the manager ? Because it sounds like a good move to me, he will need to do a good job if his intention is to move onto management eventually.

I would stick with the current arrangement for the remainder of the season: Snape + Jackman (+ Hughes) - assuming these guys are up for it.
The know the players, know the league, and probably have a little something to prove.
Equally - not sure a new manager right now will have much of an impact. And who knows where we will playing come next season (which league, which town / city even).
Assuming the Board is still running the club, and a squad, considerably beyond our means, now is the time to start operating prudently (as it has been for a long time). I see no evidence of new funds coming in, nor any likelihood that moving to somewhere like Sixways will do anything other than make the financial situation even worse. So let's aim to operate within what we can afford, and live with the consequences.

Completely agree. No need to bring anyone else in. No money and dubious future wouldn't exactly be lure to any decent manager anyway.

A lad I know has applied and I honestly think he would be a good choice, I know he has spoken to another club in the same division about a managers job

What is his experience?

Managerial experience I'm not sure. Read I think he is going for his coaching badges, and I don't know what that really means, in the summer. I'm sure Carl would have a good view on his leadership potential, they seemed to get on well. We'll never know I suppose.

Up and coming manager coming in at this stage when we need to stave off relegation would be a silly move.
We need someone with experience at this level.

Steve Burr and Andy Preece - both big spenders. We have no money. It was Steve Burr who clearly overspent at Harriers.
