Well, if you didn't believe that we are being taken for a ride by our Chairman before, you really should now! Is it right for the club Chairman to treat supporters, and shareholders, with such downright disdain? Why have you told supporters that you have offered to stand down, and made that offer to various members of the Supporters Trust? Thats an outright lie! On just one occasion, you sent a letter to Dave Wood (and Dave alone) offering Dave the Chairmanship of the club. This was the day after you'd recommended to the shareholders that they reject calls for a change of constitution, so all you were offering was a way out for you, and someone else to inherit the mess that you'd created. No other offers were ever made to anyone in the Supporters Trust. There were no takers because you've never offered! You have had a number of opportunities to stand down, but you've never wanted to. You know that I put myself forward to replace you before the season started. A perfect time for you to step aside, but you didn't. You did not want to. You presented your vision of the future at the AGM ,and backed it up at the EGM. After the EGM, the Supporters Trust accepted that there was no appetite for constitutional change, and have stood aside to let you carry on with your masterplan unfettered. You have the plan, you have the mandate, so come on, man up and get on with it. And stop with this pathetic whinging and taking cheapshots at the Supporters Trust who have gone through all the right channels , with shareholders, to try and create a future for the club. A future that you have denied. The constitution is how you want it, the opportunity to create investment through the share sale vehicle, as you explained it. If this isn't working , then thats no-ones fault but your own. If this isn't working, then perhaps you should be man enough to admit it. How many shares have you and your Board sold to bring in investment since the EGM? Thats right, zero! Don't blame the Supporters Trust for your failures, this is not our circus, these aren't our clowns. Don't lie to supporters, don't treat fans with such disdain, you'll be found out every time.

Having not read the Chairman's Programme notes, is there any chance of someone copying them onto this thread ?

I'd also add that the Supporters Trust have never once asked Hampson to resign, or any of the Board for that matter. This wasn't even a part of the request for constitutional change! The only calls for Hampson to resign have been from a few dullards at the EGM (mainly there on proxy) and at games. I don't know why the Supporters Trust are being painted as bete noir by the Chairman.

It does not matter who is Chair of WCFC, until this outdated voting system is abolished and 1 vote = 1 shareholder is introduced nothing will change. Who in their right mind would invest in a club that is going nowhere? Why would the council give planning permission to this club if there is no future? What are the answers to saving our football club?

Yes Worcester City Youth is the talk of the local football Community, unfortunately it is not at all positive. The Director of Youth is painting a very rosy picture when in fact in reality it is the opposite. He has destroyed our very good link with the local college, filled it with Yes men and continued a vendetta against a local Club. It is not at all good. Has our Chairman ever checked up on any of these claims? Has he ever been to watch them in all the years he has been Chairman? As someone who is committed to bringing our own young players through, it will not happen with the current set up. With regards to the recent EGM. There was a call for a change in our constitution. The Chairman asked Shareholders to reject it. Those who went saw that the vast majority of people want change but as usual a very small amount of people rejected it, that was all that was needed, so that was that. He then made an offer that he has NO power to offer. It is the Board that choose the Chairman, he cannot simply choose someone to replace him, it isn't a job interview. It doesn't happen like that and no one is interested in it until there is change. Why does he think that someone from the Trust or anyone else for that matter is going to take over a dead duck. If he wants this to happen he can call an EGM with the same motions and ask shareholders to back it. Shareholders will then choose who they want to go on the Board of their Club and if anyone wants to go on the Board, they should stand in front of shareholders and tell them why. The Board will then choose who they want to be Chairman. This followed exactly the same path as the last EGM when he told people that the aim was to be in the Football League in 10 years time. He presented the Board to take the Club forward at Nunnery Way - something that was never going to happen and he asked for shareholders to reject a person who had been top of the list for several years as someone the Club Board were desperate to get involved (the same person who laughed at the contracts for Nunnery Way). That Board cleared off within months. We are now in a position where nothing happens. There are hardly any Sponsors - because there is no one in charge of looking after sponsorship, nor has there been for three years. There are literally a handful of volunteers. There are no fundraising events, the list goes on. At the Pre-EGM the Board stated they had a short term plan for raising funds. How are they getting on with it, I know they have sold £0 worth of shares, so what about everything else? Can't people see the Club is being wound down?

Hampson made it abundantly clear to shareholders, he did not believe that a CBS could raise investment in the club. He believed that share investment was the right way forward. We have no idea what the rest of the Board believe, because they never say anything. Its failed hasnt it Mr Hampson? Come on, be a real man and admit that the plan hasn't worked out. If you want to find a replacement (surely there are 4 others sat around the Boardroom table with the same beliefs as you, its just a matter of handing over the Chair to one of them yes?) then as above - call an EGM, recommend the changes asked for, put this recommendation to shareholders. Don't expect anyone to come forward from the Supporters Trust to carry on your failed plan, you set us on this path, you recommended we carry on failing. Your circus, your clowns.

Well Mr Hampson you were called a top man by our departing manager, however looking at these posts it would appear the truth is you have no plan, no appetite or desire to see the Club survive and I therefore fail to see how you match the description provided by Carl Healey.
I was at the AGM and witnessed the pathetic plan to raise money for the Club, £10000 from the Supporters Trust, £10000 from fellow Directors, a golf day and the sale of additional shares were among the ideas promoted. Not one as far as I can see has happened.
The EGM was a travesty with your vote against the Trust,s proposals, leaving you with nothing but an alleged plan B and alienating the very people who were prepared to help.
My advice to you is either to condemn the posts on here as lies, or accept they are the truth. Call another EGM and support the original Trust proposals for a change in the constitution. If you are not prepared to do this then I have to accept you are just going to run the Club into oblivion.

If Mr Hampson loves this club and want's the best for it as he seems to, then he needs an EGM and propose to his shareholder friends, that a change in the archaic constitution is needed. This would inform any potential investors, other shareholders, supporters and Worcester City Council that we all want the football club to succeed, and that there is a genuine plan in place to provide this. Or would Mr Hampson like to go down in the history books as the chairman who let WCFC drop into oblivion

Quite right Croc. Prior to becoming chairman he had no interest in WCFC and no interest in football. A perfect choice for someone to oversee the club's demise.
Was he elected by shareholders? He just seemed to turn up at the Nunnery AGM and assume leadership (I use the term "leadership" loosely). I suspect Mr Hallmark ditched Boddy and crowbarred him in.

Read the last paragraph in his notes, he says he's stepping down now. So, if he's stepping down , what's stopping him?

Read the last paragraph in his notes, he says he's stepping down now. So, if he's stepping down , what's stopping him? Probably because no one wants to take the job on !! What I'm finding it hard to get my head around is: if the object of the board is to oversee The Club's demise, why are they not doing it more quickly ? It would only take a simple move like doubling the playing budget to put us out of business.... Job done & this would give them the excuse of 'one last chance of success'. BAFFLING!

Because that is potentially unlawful, It is the responsibility of the Directors to protect the interests of shareholders, but more importantly the interests of the company. Deliberately running a limited company into the ground would leave the Directors liable for prosecution by shareholders for failing in their fiduciary responsibilities.

Very interesting reading those programme notes of Chairman Hampson. The part about offering to stand down if The Supporters Trust could replace him with one of theirs, even more interesting. But can I - as really an outsider, who does not attend home games anymore, and only a handfull of away games each season - ask why should his would-be replacement ONLY come from The Supporters Trust? Why not anywhere else? If a would be replacement for Hampson was to be found, what would it (roughly) cost him/her to take over the club financially ?

You are right, why should any replacement be the Supporters Trust. What the Club needs is an experienced Chairman , someone who has a history of Turning Clubs round. Oh, hold on a minute, Hampo and his gang turned that one down as well. (Instead he promised the Football League in 10 years). As for how much it could potentially cost for someone to join the Board and be elected as Chairman? £10, any takers? You won't be able to do anything though as you will be blocked at every opportunity by the people who have created this mess. As with any of my posts, I welcome anyone to challenge anything I say.
