The funniest comment I've heard in ages, from that BBC link:
Dave Boddy " I only deal in facts."
Where shall I start.......??

Can anyone please tell me, within the constitution of WCFC, is the AGM more important than the EGM?
Never has the phrase "pulling the wool over peoples eyes" been more relevant

Ok, my view for what it is worth......... Wycombe will probably knock us over in the FA Cup on Monday, but the live TV money plus the prize money from the other rounds will be useful. So, FA Cup gone, the Trophy is the next best thing for clubs at our level, and I know our management team are looking to do well in the competition this year. I doubt we will have a large following for the game, however, what with having played at SGL in the league recently (well, from about 3.30pm anyway , and the sheer expense of travel, what with it getting close to the dreaded C-word. We can't play that badly again, can we???

Surely all this "he said that to him behind his back" is getting tiresome for most people. What has gone on, however right/wrong/insert your own word, cannot be changed. If only every day were like yesterday, and we could turn the clocks back.............
Clean sheet of paper, lets go. There is such an opportunity here if the petty infighting can be put to one side

Thought I'd better come on and post or you'd all think that I was crying into my beer. The match itself aside, I found the day itself to be OK.It was amusing to see DB running around outside the ground, trying to work out why AFCW fans were trying to go in the main entrance (note to the said gentleman: if you want away supporters to enter the ground through a different turnstile, you have to show them where that turnstile is). And what a tragedy that no away fans could get in the anti-social club if they were standing to watch the game. Boogie Wonderland twice in the half time break?? Do I summise that there is not a large record collection? And another point for the board-when segregating fans, and keeping AFCW fans in after the game, don't decide that three or four minutes is sufficient enough time for the Worcester fans to disperse. And don't get me started on that bell!!

An excellent insight, TJ.
As I stated on another thread, and was seemingly scoffed at a little, joining of the supporters trust is a must for everyone who has WCFC close to their heart, and at least you can have your say and put across your views. If getting three points out of the next league game is the most important thing to you, then you will not see my point of view. But the reality is that soon the club won't have a 'next league game' if things go on as they are.
The football club, as it currently stands, is staring starkly at a black hole. Whether or not it falls into that hole is in the supporters hands.

Finally, you see my point.
Supporters do have the power- the power to fight as much as you want. Are you too stupid to realise that as well? I think not
Telling me that I don't understand the situation is pretty rich as well

Don't get me started on that one. How the hell can a team moved 70 miles up the M1 be my team?? The club left me, not the other way round

Just seems incredible to me, the whole thing. Incredibly sad. I'm not a WCFC fan, so I'm probably wrong on some points....but ultimately, promotion or relegation or whatever this season DOES NOT MATTER IN THE GRAND SCHEME OF THINGS. There will not be a club left to support/sing about/rant about/whatever. The Supporters Trust may not be to everyones taste, and has probably made mistakes (it happens, get over it and move on).But they are the ONLY viable alternative to the in-fighting and petty squabbling that is going on. If it all goes pear shaped tomorrow, how many of you will be able to say "Well, at least I tried". I'd go and watch Wimbledon if they played in the park on a Sunday morning, because they are my team- or have I got it massively wrong, in that you support Worcester because of the level they are at, and not because it is 'your' team?? The way forward is to all join together, find common ground, and go forward from there. You all have passion, you all have strength of character, only time will tell if you all want a unified football club to prosper. I'll get off my soapbox now . Hope to see you at the game on Saturday

Ealing,
I went to your Supporters Trust meeting yesterday, where this, amongst other things was being discussed. My own point of view is that you should go to the game and support your team BUT buy no food/merchandise whilst there. Buy NOTHING from your club shop.
Think how you'd feel if you boycotted, the club went under, and no-one was there to start picking up the pieces.
Seems a small step, but you'd be surprised what it can achieve.
I am trying to get many AFCW fans to The Cavalier for a pre-match beer/chat/show/of unity.

We always request segregation at away matches due to a few problems at games in the past (the county of Kent springs to mind). Whether or not the advice is acted on is down to local police and the club concerned.
Have to say that the plans as announced do sound a littlle ill conceived, though.
AFCW fans are, on the whole, pretty amiable- unless moronic chants regarding a small town in Buckinghamshire begin

As an outsider, I'm finding all these shenanigans bemusing, to say the least. It seems that DB is in his last moments of Chairmanship before he joins up with Pieinthesky FC.
The Non-League paper today quotes him as saying "suggestions that the club are 2 million in debt are not true". Weren't we told at the Whitehorse Hotel, and I quote, "The true debt is around 2 million pounds". So which is it, Mr Boddy?
Also from the NLP-"when we deliver the project the financial position will be visible". Nothing needs to be said.
"SAG are making a lot of noise and making it difficult for the board to function". The board are making it difficult for the board to function, Mr Boddy.
And when was the egm? I must have missed it.
And why is the Fisher game not in the fixture list in the NLP?
And................your move then, Mr Boddy(clue: the door has 'exit' marked on it)

City 1-1 St. Albans. Adaggio with our goal, Att: 756 I think a draw against one of the better CS sides would be quite acceptable. Thing is, we are talking about St. Albans

Blimey,
i like this league, after my first taste of it at Newport yesterday.
How were Bognor, BTW? We are at home to them on Saturday- after which we will no doubt find that we have 3 points after 3 games and are 15th.
St,Albans have a good 'keeper in Bastock, a good striker in Hakim, and a chairman who is not averse to sending solicitors letters- say no more

Until we are told what is going on - in some depth and validated by an independent view - then I will save my cash for AFC Worcester.
First head above the parapet........more to follow?
Being an AFC Wimbledon fan who now lives in the city, but knows little of your recent struggles, perhaps this is now the way forward.....the "rebel" shareholders had little idea of how to go forward, as far as I could see

Bognor and WSM away in August - seaside! Newport ovr Xmas - cant argue with that. AFC Wimbledon away on a Tuesday night, unfortunately. Heres a suggestion. Me and a Wimbledon fan will be going to the away game and obviously book the day off. We plan to go racing on route. Could this be a Trust away day !!! Gutted to see the AFCW game on a Tuesday night in February. Still think you need to arrange an early departing coach, though. Excellent cafe next to our ground, and an, ahem, adult themed entertainment pub just up the road

It was also good to have a chat with Rushwick's token AFC Wimbledon fan!!!! good to meet you. [/quote] Thanks- good to meet you too. As I said, there were lots of things that I could have said, but I didn't want it to turn into an AFCW diatribe (which I guarantee it would have if I'd have got going!!) I think that the most poignant thing was the fact that it was the Supporters Club AGM, and yet you were unable to hold it in the football club itself, due to the full time bar manager seemingly not having opened the bar!!! Absolutely astounding. Closely followed by the suggestion that WCFC go bust and reform a few leagues below- the poor guy who suggested it was derided by many, yet if the financial outlook is so bleak, then perhaps it is not a greatly outlandish idea after all. And whilst WCFC and AFCW are going to be rivals on the pitch next season, I seriously hope that there is a good future for the club- after all, I now live in the city. Whilst none of you know me from Adam, I want to help in any way that I can. And no, we didn't go bust
