We can't get as lucky as we did in the league game surely.
Based on Saturday's performance we're going to be out of yet another competition at the first hurdle.

We beat them 3-2 about three weeks ago! We also won at Welling not that long ago!! Seriously though, the Dons will be fancying this one less than us. And if you discount our abysmal record in knock out competitions of late there is a thin line of previous form in the Trophy - Aldershot, Burton Albion etc - which suggests we can beat them again.

If Wimbledon win their FA Cup game on Saturday I can't see them giving two hoots about the Trophy game. I think we will beat them.

We can't get as lucky as we did in the league game surely. Based on Saturday's performance we're going to be out of yet another competition at the first hurdle. Let us hope that there is a good strong westerly wind blowing again. And the City kick-off attacking the Canal End.

It wasn't a westerly on Saturday - the wind was from the North East.

Ok, my view for what it is worth......... Wycombe will probably knock us over in the FA Cup on Monday, but the live TV money plus the prize money from the other rounds will be useful. So, FA Cup gone, the Trophy is the next best thing for clubs at our level, and I know our management team are looking to do well in the competition this year. I doubt we will have a large following for the game, however, what with having played at SGL in the league recently (well, from about 3.30pm anyway , and the sheer expense of travel, what with it getting close to the dreaded C-word. We can't play that badly again, can we???

It wasn't a westerly on Saturday - the wind was from the North East. Tim the wind was blowing from a Westerly direction when the City beat Wimbledon 3-2. Two of the goals were wind assisted. The first was when the defender headed back to the goalkeeper and the wind dropped allowing Addagio to nip in and score the second was when Wilding headed the ball, as usual nowhere in particular and the wind took it over the goalies head when he was off his line. I do not think a strong wind would have helped against Welling last Saturday, because our strike force was non existant.

Although I agree that the strikers were poor on Saturday I do have to point to the fact that they got no service at all from the midfield and therefore cannot really be blamed.
