City 1-1 St. Albans. Adaggio with our goal, Att: 756 I think a draw against one of the better CS sides would be quite acceptable.

612 to see us win 1-0 with a late winner from Bampton. No Bampton tomorrow, he could be out for up to 2 weeks after being subbed due to an ankle injury on 5 minutes yesterday.

Crikey Birdfeeder. You have got it in for Simon Williams, haven't you?
As a director he probably won't have to pay an addmission charge.
So it will 'be for free'.

Poor old Mr Williams made a rod for his own back with his silly "I do it for free!" comment. Maybe he should consider hiring Kevin Peake as his "Action Coach" !!!!!

2-1 Marco and Mark to score, 836 to watch. Surely someone who gets in for free doesnt count If we counted all of those who get in for free we could add another 50 to the gate.

That bleedin' smelly dragon "does it for free" but I'm not talking about doing it for WCFC. You can fnd him outside the TicToc Club in Hillfields doing it for free!!!

One swallow doesn't make a summer and let's face it Bognor are hardly going to set the BSS alive this season.
We have had a habit (which I'd like us to kick) of getting the punters in and then playing like a load of spares at a wedding.
If we get more than 800 to watch it'll be a miracle. So I go 1-1 with 785 watching, and hope I am entirely wrong as I'd love us to get off to a flying start with two straight wins.

How would anyone know whether Bognor are hardly going to set the BSS alive after one game? They may be the team to beat this season, who knows? What is important is that the win was a good confidence booster, and it shows that there is a fighting spirit within the team, they could easily have settled for a pleasing point on Saturday. A good solid performance tonight, and 3 points in the bag will be a great home start.

I agree with you; having watched City for years I just have this horrible feeling of deja-vu. So often we have done well, got a few extra punters in, then performed badly. Remember the spell when RD joined and we got plenty of people in to watch Telford? Result - a 0-3 drubbing and all those extra fans didn't come again.
I am ever hopeful, but a realist just the same. Here's hoping!

A good solid performance tonight, and 3 points in the bag will be a great home start. Bognor are broke and were one of the bookies and most CSS observers favourites for the drop. Thats why three points was a good result - who knows the significance of those points at the end of the season.

Here's hoping! If we play Telford again we'll get another good gate as most of they brought most of the fans! Tim dont be so pessimistic, the team are building up a head of steam (did you come to any preseason games?). We look a much more mobile side this season who attack in numbers, the back four look pretty decent as well. If this is you first look at this seasons team I think you will be pretty pleased with what RD & CH are doing. don't get me wrong they are not the finished article but they are beginning to play some nice football again. Regardless of tonight's result I am expecting more ups than downs this season. Saturday we looked good up front with little Marco and large Marco "N" (sic), is was the classic big centre forward and nippy striker set up. Owen may have lost a bit of pace but his reading of the game is lightening. Im going for 2-0 with Owen and Price on the score sheet, att 770

1-1 782 owen
more wins than losses, more teams below us than above - that will do me just fine this season - anything else a bonus.
