In no way could it be considered Niels fault, it if it wasn't for him there would have not been any at all! plus the fact he handed them out to all and sundry and sent a copy to the website..... here here Neils does an amazing job. I managed to get one of the posters he gave me stuck on the front door of Woking FC at the start of this season!! funny though, it didn't seem to stay up so long. they just don't appreciate your hard work Neils! Even turning his hand to reserve announcer and doing a great job of that too. Not having a go at anyone here or being hyper critical but how many people have walked past that poster and not removed it or replaced it with one they have been given?? It is so easy to do your own little bit to help, it really doesnt take much to help.

I think Jamie has done a good job when he has covered at left back, altho' I feel he is better suited on the left of midfield. I am a little dissapointed he has not had his chnace whgilst Shab has been out. he played really well at Vauxhall and not really had a chnace since. And I agree about young Pikey too. He has not been given a chnace. He was the shining light at the end of last season giving us a little taste of the passing game that was to come along this season. I think he made the bench in one of the early games but nothing since and that is a real shame but that it th eproblem of having a strong squad.

Carl will move on eventually but I think he will want to take this side as far as he can. But you really couldnt blame him for wanting to try his best at a league club although I am not sure how much longer hereford will be a league club. His loyalty to the club is undoubted, but you can stop him wanting to be ambitious and that really is not possible at Worcester at the moment. We may not even have a ground to play in soon. His ambitions can not realistically extend much further than a good cup run and a top 6 finish. We can not afford to go up this season even if we wanted to.

Doubt we will keep a clean sheet before Christmas, we always seem to find five minutes where we will turn off and allow them back in.
2-1 win. Goals from Birley and McGregor off the bench

Didn't hear any of it as I was at the game but the fact that it was one sided does not surprise me in the least.Reading theTelford fans forum I cannot believe that some of them were at the same game as I was.Apparently both our team and the officials are nothing but a talentless bunch of cheats.I thought how good it was that we had a ref who was old enough to shave and didn't fall into the big crowd trap and award them absolutley everything. It is obvious that they are used to that judging by some of the remarks(Same last week on Bostons site too). One guy even said that it wasn't a penalty and their guy clearly won the ball!!!!Unless I am much mistaken, viewing from the other end of the pitch, and if so I apologise,it looked an absolute stone wall one to me-Couldn't have argued against it even if it had been against us. I think it was certainly a penalty and you will notice that very few Telford players complained either. They knew it was. There number 8 was digging at Danny Glover the whole game (Until Glover went off) I happened to looking directly at the incident in their goal mouth when their defender kicked Glover in the achilies and he should have seen a red for that but got a yellow as i don't think the Lineo' or ref saw it even tho they spoke together. Can anyone tell me what was happening on the touchline. I saw King Carl pushing and having a real rant with the Telford bench. One of the official had to come between them. He pushed our physio out of the way to give one of the Telford bench a right mouthful and Mark Clyde had to pull him off to calm down. What caused all that? Was that on the commentary? I thought he went to school with one of them, good to see that his loyalty to City goes beyond that! I think Carl is doing a really good job and praise again for the board for making him permanent manager and not delaying it when they could easily have done so!!

Just got in from the game and had a look at thier forum and chuckled! why cant some fans just face up to the fact they wasnt as good as they thought and we wernt awful! they could of had a number of players sent offs with delibrate elbowing and that, we won the first half as we made them look very ordinary , mark danks penalty was smashed into the middle the gk got a hand but not enough, the second half only looked like telford would go onto win with city only attacking from counter attacks but in the last ten minutes city could of scored with a few chances , my motm was o conner.141 city fans came and was in good voice. we beat boston away and draw to telford away. next up corby who lost 4:0 nil today.... Reckon you have summed the game up perfectly and KO as MOM too! We could have easily snatched victory in the last 10 minutes and we soaked up thier pressure pretty well. We should have won the game in the first half, but if Meredith had been in goal could have been 3 down too! I am not a great fan of Elvins at the back but I thought he had a superb game, cleaned up well and Ryan Clearke looked the part too. Shame Clyde wasn't there as we might not have conceeded straight after half time. But why does he persist with Cartwright at left back? He does not look natural there and we miss his attacking capability. Richman was Okay but Cartwright would have run them ragged and then stick Jay Price in at left back. I thought he was possibly MOM at Vauxhall Motors and is a natural left back! But the way he (Jamie Price) warmed up before the game and at half time you can tell he will never be a striker. The safest part of the ground was the back of the net not the crowd as he never looked like finding the net! ;D The Mrs found out and covered everone around us with soup when she took her eye off them practicing for 2 minutes and ended up wearing one his shots. lol Looked liked more than 141 city fans in too?

Having been going to the Lane for 50+ years I will also miss it. Happy memories of better times with long lost relatives. But after visiting The Bucks Head for the first time I WANT ONE OF THEM. I was highly impressed with the Stadium, catering, car park, PA, promotion of the Sponsors, and especially the stewards. A very good set up all round. what a great example of what can be done from scratch AFC Telford are. They are going places! You would be proud to play there every week and in front of 2500 too! Even the prgramme was of a league standard. When you see WCFC and AFC Telford the gap in professionalism is massive. Their announcer made such a difference too- Sorry Captain Crazy but you may have been good one day but things have moved on now.....

The way Yellow cards are being collected by City players, there will soon be some suspensions. And how will the small squad fair then? Not sure it is that small. Mr Danks is probably close to a suspension, he has picked up 3 or 4 cards. We have Big Mc and Polan who could play in that position and would want to impressand others who could fill if required. I reckon we have a good squad, about the right size too with good competition. In fact a suspension might give someone the chance to really impress, knowing they only have 1 or 2 games and might freshen it up for the good and keep a few on their toes. I am sure Wardy is regretting his red card and missing the FA Cup win at Boston!

AFC Telford are very serious about winning this league and have to be respected but I feel we can raise our game against some of these promotion candidates and with competition for starting places getting very keen in our club now I'm thinking a 2-1 win, my only reservation is no Wardy.

But in terms of revenue the FA cup gates are split 50-50 anyway. so i dont know all the ins and outs but would we not actually profit more from an away game as there would be less spent on staff wages on the day? though if Corbys home crowd is only 450 on average, thats not great news. In these earlier rounds of the FA Cup, it is the net gate receipts that are split 50:50. So, from the gross receipts, away team travel (and overnight stay if > 4.5 hours one way), match official fees and travel costs, floodlights (up to 250 max), and match day staff at the hosts (turnstiles etc) are all deducted first. The amount left is the net gate receipts, which are split. So, in pure cash terms, a home gate of 700 would yield the same return to the Club as an away gate of 700 (provided entrance fee is the same, same number of paying adults to concessions, same match day costs etc). Bigger crowds are incrementally more helpful, as it probably takes a baseline 200 through the gate to cover costs. Anything below break even income, and the costs (rather than the profit) are shared 50:50. In later rounds, a further 10% of net receipts is deducted to go into the FA 'Pool' - possibly from 3rd round proper onwards. Not 100% sure at which round this kicks in though. Great explanation Andy - thanks!! Wasn't sure of the detail. Do you know what the prize money is that we are planning for in this round?

Having said that - the general opinion was not much of a chance in the last round and we got it wrong so let's not raise any expectations, say we have no chance and you never know what might happen

The fact that we are playing away again might benefit us on the pitch. The fact that we play Corby in the cup does mean we share the attendance money so we are not totally out of pocket, in effect it is a home game with a small crowd. If we had got them at home with our normal 700 we would not have taken a great deal more than we will sharing from their 500. We would have to pay their coach etc to travel to us. I think playing them away we have a good chance of beating them.

OK, so it was an off game for your lads, but here's 10 minutes of highlights if you can bear to watch. Good luck with the rest of the season, Karl Ia m sure it is me but watching that video, I got the feeling the ball seemed flat, espc at the beginning of the first half

Shouldnt the regular penalty taker be one of one? Absolutely; and it should be Tom Thorley - when he was the regular penalty taker at Stafford you always felt confident he would score. He's not the sort of character, though, who will grab the ball and say 'I'm taking it'. The manager needs to sort that out beforehand. I agree and believe Tom would be the ideal penalty taker. As I mentioned before, Danks grabbed the ball , Glover made a polite enquiry 'are you taking it' the reply of 'You bet' gave no on else a doubt (or the chance) of who was taking it. Hopefully now the issue has raised it's head Carl will have resolved it and I would agree with the Thorley choice if that is the way he decides to go.

Greed isn't the worst thing in the world from a striker, but it needs to be for the good of the team. There have been a couple of times when I felt Glover was in a better position to possibly score whe he has gone for goal himself (but not Just Danks might I add!) For the sake of the team if the ball had been passed he could have got the acclaim of an assist in a goal rather than a shot on/off target but no goal. Rather him (Danks) in the team than out and rather Danks anywhere than Wilding!

First half we should of put the game to bed, workington were awful in the first half, i was shocked at Danksys pen ( thought he would of smashed it ) birley was imense. he has improved so much, glover seems to have gone downhill or is it me? we will play worse this season and win a game, if we would of played crap and lost i would of been mad but we werent crap and workington must be wondering how they got 3 points Not sure Glover has gone off the boil, I just feel he is not getting as involved as he was at the start of the season. Danks will not be his provider, he expects everyone to provide for him. Glover wanted to take the Pen on Saturday but Danks said no it's mine. No argument but what a poor poor penalty. The service to the front two has not been good, Birley has worked tirelessly but his final ball has not been good enough, Tom Thorley crosses well but never seems to find a city head, he does tackle back well in midlfield and gets on with his job quietly. I think on Saturday we missed Cartwright giving us the width and quality ball into the middle altho' Richman had a very good game too. In fact did anyone really have a bad game? A very dissapointing result but not a bad performance overall. As mentioned somewhere else, we outplayed them first half but second half was another story and we should have killed it in the first 45 minutes and with the penalty.
