Anyone going? Very little talk of the game so far! Boston U. took 406 to their away game at Alfreton on Saturday;will we even muster a quarter of that? Mind you not 100% myself, but hope to get there for the first time? The 'best' independent guide I could find, comprehensive if a bit dated, is www.ciderspace.co.uk/asp/opposition/boston.aspbut from Yeovil fans who seem none too keen on the locals....

Theres a 39 seater bus which is full taking us up on Saturday morning....nice 8.30 start.
Not sure how many will travel up by car or train, think we may muster around 80.
Should be noted that a 59 seater is already full to go to Telford, we could get around 250 - 300 up there.
Have to mention that we are segregated on Saturday also.
The lads seem up for it and really sharp so im hoping for a 1 v 0 win in front of aeound 1,700

You are talking about Saturday, or Telford?? Which is what FV's enquiry referred to....
And Fair Play to everyone going on Saturday. Sorry if the OP sounded a tad ungenerous.

On my only trip to Boston in 1978, I had a cup of tea thrown over me from behind when Norman Pemberton gave City the lead. I didn't enjoy that much, and enjoyed the rest of the game even less as we ended up losing 4-1. The following season was worse, losing 4-0, but I avoided that one, not being able to afford dry cleaning bills on a student grant!

I vivdly remember going to the 4-0 Trophy defeat. Made all the worse my brother (now the Supporters Trust Chairman) being sick the entire coach journey. There and back.

However, we have a better away form than at home which is in your favour. Secondly if you can hang on until mid second half without conceding, the home crowd get a a little unrestful and our players will come in for a lot of stick. Not sure if you scoring an early goal is good or bad as it will surely initiate a response. Hope your travelling fans enjoy the day.
