Looks like we need to prey for a cup run that takes us to the 4th or 5th round and to play at least one major premier league side and to beat them too Not too much to ask then.....

4 defenders out now? wardy,elvins,evans,shaba....Great. But we keep finding more, McGregor, Cartwright, Price, anyone else want to put their hand up and do a job at the back? Looking like Cartwright, Mc, Clyde and Price for Blyth then Midfield of Richman, Thorley, O'Connor and Birley Glover and Danks up front. Better than anythhing we put out last season so can't complain

Whoever was in charge of handing the flyers out on the gate did a cracking job. Mines up on the wall and i now know when the games are actually taking place! That would be Niels. He was also responsible for sucking the ball into the net from behind the goal for Dank's superb strike. Hey Rob, well done for avoiding that car that pulled out on you when you were riding home (just past St Georges Primary school)! Any consolation I gave him a mouthful on your behalf

What a entertaining game! city drew 2:2 with ten men after stupidly wardy got sent off which causes more headaches at the back. my man of the match goes to marc mgreagor wgo played at the back. he won every header and played with a no nonsense style. the crowd was a healthy 1070 , goals coming from birley and an amazing Danksy goal. bring on blyth! Talking of winning headers... Cartwright won every header yet again, fully deserved of his player of the month in my opinion. He is a great signing for us and I really appreciate his excellent work rate. Great find Carl!

Gotta agree with you again Pendulum. I am not a big fan of the big Mc but he had a good game today. No finesse about his work but he did what was needed. He took the ball and the player into the back row of the stands and kept things fairly tidy at the back. I am not sure who was at fault for the first goal but yet again it looked like defensive errors but all in all I think a point a piece was a fair return on the day, and as you say Nuneaton played some good football. At the moment the big difference between us and our opponents is the way they defend. Every side we have played seem better organised at the back which really surprises me with King Carl being a defender in his former life

im going for a 1:1 Draw with 803 watching. as i think nuneaton will bring a fair few fans down for this localish derby. i also predict the ref will be awful again! and gets booed at the end. Hahaha that isn't a prediction it is a near certainty the ref will b a disastor, we have not had more than 1 or 2 who weren't in the last 2 years lol

What are the general opinions then now that the first 6 games of the season have been played? My opinion for what it is worth is : I think everything has worked out really well for us. The one thing Worcester City did not want to do this season is go off like a fire cracker wining games, building up huge expectations and putting massive unwanted pressure on both the team and an inexperienced manager Coming in 'under the radar' I believe has got to be the way for us. I do not see WCFC as being league champions this year, I am not one who thinks we will make the play-offs either but a top 10 finish will be an incredible achievement given the resources and time Carl has had to put this side together. He has worked miracles in a very short time. In pre season he has brought together a group of exciting young footballers and has started to get them to gel much quicker than I believed he would and playing the kind of football that everyone likes to see. We have passed the ball to feet successfully more in these 6 games than we did in the whole of last season and it is paying dividends. As long as injuries don't get any worse I predict a finish of around 9th or 10th and I will be very pleased with that. And if we continue to get crowds of closer to 800 than 600 maybe the board will be able to release funds to allow us to cover the injuries we are getting. If only in the short term?

The programme did indeed sell out again !!! Has done 2 out of the 3 games this season, and even the Hinckley one only had 6 left. All this and we are producing more than last season. This saturday we will hopefully have some breaking news about the club and as a result will be producing even more programmes. (up 40% on last season !) Thanks to everybody who buys the programme your support is appreciated It's a good read and your hard work is paying off A massive thank you for time you take over it and the great strides you have made in such a short time!

The ref on Saturday knew most of the players involved He kept saying 'oi Hands down Danksy' at corners etc and similar comments to other players too. He even congratulated their 'keeper for that amazing last minute save he put over the bar. That save was probably the best i have ever seen down the lane. it was a cracking save Yeah, the swine, it was certainly worth the 2 points they would have lost had we scored. Mind, the way we pushed at the end if we had got one we might have got 2, but we didn't deserve 3 points. Maybe a point each but did we really deserve that? I think maybe we did.

I agree with JIIG, Carl must be satisfied with the way the team have worked for each other, and have found a style of play which is obviously suiting them. Now the hard work begins though, as we now have to build on this solid start, and not let it slip away. On the reffing side, have we got different refs this season? Are Northern refs a different lot to the southern refs? If so, it does put us at a bit of a disadvantage, as we don't know them and other teams do. They'll know if its a ref who will allow a bit more contact or not, or who likes the game to flow, or uses the whistle to control the game. The ref on Saturday knew most of the players involved He kept saying 'oi Hands down Danksy' at corners etc and similar comments to other players too. that game was so frustrating !!!!!!!!! Got to agree, very frustrating. We can not blame a ref for our own mistakes and poor defending. The Solihull defending was the best I have witnessed this season. Well organised, something I hope carl will have taken note and ideas from. We had enough chances to have taken a point or even to have won it which we didn't deserve to do Still, I am much happier with our style of play and work ethic this season and expect us to come unstuck occasionally. I think we are expecting too much if we think we are going to win 5 or 6 on the trot yet. We have come a long way from last season and still have a way to go but going in the right direction

I have to agree with jcp. I kind of agree with both jcp + pendulum. I don't expect to bring children into the ground for free. I have 4 and altho 12 quid is a fair chunk for a saturday I know they enjoy watching and it benefits the club It would be nice if the club could make a bit of a profile match of all children going free but really the three quid charge is against the visiting support as we made the offer before the season of ten pound for a child season ticket for the season. If you knew your child would attend more than 4 games it paid for itself . People are now complaining because City have put together a winning side and suddenly Everyone wants to watch. Shame no one thought they wanted to watch before the season and had enough faith to buy season ticket City have every right to charge for a side that is playing entertaining winning football.

I Heard he was a kiddy fan? Captain Crazy was Dj at Kiddy for over 15 years before they decided to dispense with his services. He is a bit like Marmite but I think Non league football would be a sadder place without people like him. I agree 'people like him' are needed, the time and effort is always needed and should be appreciated But maybe not Captain Crazy himself? I think maybe he is past his sell by date and not with the modern way of doing things?

Hey Keiran, I don't mean to be critical & I might be missing something. BUT is there no gallery of the squad on the web site this year. I actually saw one of the squad (well I think it was) having acrafty a"puff" on a ciggy during the Gainsborough match, didn't know his name......... But I'd have loved to be able to name & shame him !!! The kit manager? Name and shame? This isn't a primary school Jimbo Okay in this day of fitness regimes it is surprising a sportsman does choose to smoke but there are many examples of smokers in sport: Ian Botham, Ashley Cole to name just two smokers who made it to the top of their game It is an individuals choice and I am fairly sure that Carl would be aware of their habit but I have not seen any player looking so unfit on the pitch that they can not make the 90 minutes. It may have been a sub and he maybe on the bench because of his habit and his lack of fitness; I don't know? But I am not sure 'name and shame' is the right phrase here I don't think name and shame is

and with Shab injured too and Clyde nursing some sore ribs and his achilles, we are looking very stretched at the back! Is the King still registered to play? Can we try and sign Barry Woolley back off Stratford? Ooooh Barry Woolley! Ooooh Barry Woolley! With many people mentioning 'difficulties' in defence is this a blessing in disguise? An opportunity to look at alternatives maybe Jamie Price will slot in at left back and I suppose Walker and Evans will fill in at the centre and right back which isn't a bad back four but not much left after that if anything else goes wrong. I think a 2 month loan might be on the cards? Shame the settled side is going to be upset but over a long season we should be prepared for it, just don't expect two in the same area out for extended periods at the same time Time for the King to show what a good manager he is going to be again I feel

Tim made a craking reaction save, plus he saved a penalty against eastwood . which was vital, He made 2 amazing saves at Vauxhall too He has his faults but that is why the released him at league level and he now plays in BSBN. YOu are going to get that at this level but as a shot stopper he is very good but does not command his area at all and punches not catches. Wouldn't you rather have Tim in goal than Meredith? How many will he conceded tonight Vs Corby?? Offers on a post card to...... to the nearest 10 goals
