What a entertaining game! city drew 2:2 with ten men after stupidly wardy got sent off which causes more headaches at the back. my man of the match goes to marc mgreagor wgo played at the back. he won every header and played with a no nonsense style. the crowd was a healthy 1070 , goals coming from birley and an amazing Danksy goal. bring on blyth!

Gotta agree with you again Pendulum. I am not a big fan of the big Mc but he had a good game today. No finesse about his work but he did what was needed. He took the ball and the player into the back row of the stands and kept things fairly tidy at the back. I am not sure who was at fault for the first goal but yet again it looked like defensive errors but all in all I think a point a piece was a fair return on the day, and as you say Nuneaton played some good football. At the moment the big difference between us and our opponents is the way they defend. Every side we have played seem better organised at the back which really surprises me with King Carl being a defender in his former life

Talking of winning headers... Cartwright won every header yet again, fully deserved of his player of the month in my opinion. He is a great signing for us and I really appreciate his excellent work rate. Great find Carl!

Excellent match - very entertaining. Nuneaton certainly came to play football and chased every ball in the first half, they made us look very average.
Thankfully, in the second half the lads came alive and it was end to end stuff. MacGregor was outstanding, he was a rock at the back and he got away with murder too! The ref was woolly and was unfair to Wardy as a yellow card for him and their no 8 would have been a fairer outcome of the sending off incident. A draw is a fair result, even though the lads had the best of it in the last 20 mins after the sending off.
Enjoyed the interviews on BBCHW too.
The programme this season is excellent. I even took my glasses so I could read it before the game today.
Keep it up lads

Agree with most of the above. Marc McGregor looked the business at the back -probably more so than Rob Elvins. Both of our goals were superb in different ways. Nice to see a City player putting the ball away in a one-on-one with the keeper. I'll probably have nightmares about Craig Wilding being there instead of Matt Birley!
Can't really agree with GC about Wardy. Isn't a deliberate kick on an opponent off the ball a red card? Their number 8 should certainly have been booked and his apparently broken leg mended very quickly.

CH has as much as admitted in his interview that Wardy kicked him, so probably deserved a red. Disappointing to see the Nunny player go down like he did, sniper in the stands again - and he was clutching his head when he fell. He certainly swung a fist or elbow seconds prior to Wardy "taking him down" so he probably deserved to see red as well.
Nunny played some good stuff, lots of neat intricate passing and through balls although on a few occasions it looked like there may be some friction between their players, their no 6 had a right hissy fit when he got subbed!

4 defenders out now? wardy,elvins,evans,shaba....Great. But we keep finding more, McGregor, Cartwright, Price, anyone else want to put their hand up and do a job at the back? Looking like Cartwright, Mc, Clyde and Price for Blyth then Midfield of Richman, Thorley, O'Connor and Birley Glover and Danks up front. Better than anythhing we put out last season so can't complain
