What are the general opinions then now that the first 6 games of the season have been played? My opinion for what it is worth is : I think everything has worked out really well for us. The one thing Worcester City did not want to do this season is go off like a fire cracker wining games, building up huge expectations and putting massive unwanted pressure on both the team and an inexperienced manager Coming in 'under the radar' I believe has got to be the way for us. I do not see WCFC as being league champions this year, I am not one who thinks we will make the play-offs either but a top 10 finish will be an incredible achievement given the resources and time Carl has had to put this side together. He has worked miracles in a very short time. In pre season he has brought together a group of exciting young footballers and has started to get them to gel much quicker than I believed he would and playing the kind of football that everyone likes to see. We have passed the ball to feet successfully more in these 6 games than we did in the whole of last season and it is paying dividends. As long as injuries don't get any worse I predict a finish of around 9th or 10th and I will be very pleased with that. And if we continue to get crowds of closer to 800 than 600 maybe the board will be able to release funds to allow us to cover the injuries we are getting. If only in the short term?

Agree that a Top 10 finish is the most we can expect. However, that would be a massive improvement on last season. Hope we have a decent FA Cup/Trophy run this term as well.

I reckon this could be a good year for a bit of a cup run. It is just all so dependant on getting a decent home draw first up. Get through that an a big club at home or away would certainly help financially. I still feel that that we are doing things right, not putting any undue pressure on ourselves and building a side that can play football, win games and if we can keep them together and even improve on the squad possibly even be fighting for a top 6 place next season. It is just dependant on a decent crowd wanting to watch week in and week out.

Jeez, what is it with some people? Where can you get football at this level for under a tenner?? £11 is fair, isnt excessive, and has been frozen for the last 3 years.

There are clubs in our league charging £10 and I think I read Blyth charge £9 to get in. I can understand people not coming every week but having seen the way we play this year you would think people would want to come and watch

i agree with you both. but people can be stubborn still and be like f*ck paying 11 pound to watch that. thats why its important for city to keep playing well and get a good cup run. city use to get 900 odd or more thats the way it should be. and i hope the attendances do keep improving. this year we have had more than some blue sqaure teams.

And they're probably smokers and/or drinkers anyway!
