We could hit 200 mark 2mora, looking a real possibility that telford could get a decent crowd near to 2,000

The idea is to predict the attendance, not the year I reckon 1996 to turn up. I've heard that a lot of the 500 school's tickets went to schools that are quite a long way away.

FT Score 1-1 and a good result for City I reckon. Couldn't go unfortunately, but if the commentary was to be believed it was City's first half and Telford's second.
Telford have a very niggardly defence (only conceded three league goals all season) so to score at all was an achievement, even if it was from the spot (PS Why couldn't Mark Danks do that against Workington?).

Good result for City and with Corby losing 0-4 at Guisley ... it's looking good (jinxed it now).

Interesting reading the Telford forum. Lots of accusing City of cynical play and cheating!?
Plus much berating of the referee...

...if the commentary was to be believed it was City's first half and Telford's second. Sounds like the story of the season so far! Same could be said of the Eastwood game, Workington, Boston and others. That said, great result to get a point today, well done lads.

That's roughly how the Boston forum read last week; suggests they both find it hard not to win. City fans are used to it; we know how to accept defeat or not get the result we'd like.

Crowd 2508.
Any lessons WCFC can take from such a turn-out? Others, inc.me have suggested various ideas on threads passim, but seem to have fallen largely on deaf ears?

Just got in from the game and had a look at thier forum and chuckled! why cant some fans just face up to the fact they wasnt as good as they thought and we wernt awful! they could of had a number of players sent offs with delibrate elbowing and that, we won the first half as we made them look very ordinary , mark danks penalty was smashed into the middle the gk got a hand but not enough, the second half only looked like telford would go onto win with city only attacking from counter attacks but in the last ten minutes city could of scored with a few chances , my motm was o conner.141 city fans came and was in good voice. we beat boston away and draw to telford away. next up corby who lost 4:0 nil today....

Well, we have had a quarter of a century to get used to it! More seriously our apparent lack of staying power is a problem. Not to mention our home form. Great away results, especially draws are largely useless if we can't make a better fist of it at home. One of our senior players told me it was a problem last season and guess not much has changed, except we seem to be playing with more flair so far this term.... If we played them in the next month, given the above, if we were to play Boston & Telford at home, they'd probably both be favourites to win at SGL??

Reckon you have summed the game up perfectly and KO as MOM too! We could have easily snatched victory in the last 10 minutes and we soaked up thier pressure pretty well. We should have won the game in the first half, but if Meredith had been in goal could have been 3 down too! I am not a great fan of Elvins at the back but I thought he had a superb game, cleaned up well and Ryan Clearke looked the part too. Shame Clyde wasn't there as we might not have conceeded straight after half time. But why does he persist with Cartwright at left back? He does not look natural there and we miss his attacking capability. Richman was Okay but Cartwright would have run them ragged and then stick Jay Price in at left back. I thought he was possibly MOM at Vauxhall Motors and is a natural left back! But the way he (Jamie Price) warmed up before the game and at half time you can tell he will never be a striker. The safest part of the ground was the back of the net not the crowd as he never looked like finding the net! ;D The Mrs found out and covered everone around us with soup when she took her eye off them practicing for 2 minutes and ended up wearing one his shots. lol Looked liked more than 141 city fans in too?

I agree cartwright is a good player but left back? im not so sure , what we miss aswell is cartwright winning them headers up the pitch because danksy and richman will never win a header, i do think gary walker should be given a chance to start in place of thorley,

another difference was the amount of sponsors telford had, their programme was packed and all around the ground was sponsors
