Lack of goals is an issue, one we've had for a few years now really. My problem is, I don't really know how we could fix it! A young striker would be good, but they'd probably struggle to get a run of games in a central position ahead of Hughes and Burton.

You think I don't have a license? I'm not going to go through this again. If you or anyone else thinks it's ok to walk between someone taking a photo and their subject then there's little point discussing it. Had he done it once or twice then I would've given him the benefit of the doubt. He did it five times. I spoke to him and he was incredibly arrogant. I don't see how I can stress this more in text on an Internet forum. There are people who put on stewards coats and thrive on it. This man was one of them. If you do then I cannot see what your argument is. You can take pictures from the touchline if you request to do so, right? So either do so, or accept that people may walk in your way. I sit just a few seats from someone who takes pictures for us, not once have I heard him complain about people walking in the way. We probably have a steward walk in front of us 7-8 times every match.

I called him that for rudely walking in front of me five times. FIVE times. When someone is taking a photo you do not walk in front of their camera. End of. As I've said to you before, I understand it can be hard to snap a good picture, but ultimately the steward does have a job to do, might well be briefed to walk around rather then just stand by the refreshments stall, or might be dealing with something which requires him to move. If you are that concerned about an unspoilt view of the players, why not get a football conference licence for photographers & press and sit on the sidelines?

As for time wasting in general if you're going to have ballboys and girls but allow them to all sit together in the big stand then don't complain! Be fair, they're volunteers... and I don't recall seeing any ball boys on Boxing day.

Maybe the FA should start to put more money into grassroots refereeing??? Dodger. Wouldn't work! They would still get dogs abuse from the likes of supporters like yourselves if they didn't win! I know a local ref, if when he come off and get's abuse from both sets of supporters he knows he has done a good job, and he just loves it! AND IF YOU CAN COUNT, Worcester news gave Glos players a higher total rating than your Real Madrid lot! Add the player ratings from both matches together and Worcester come out on top. As for calling us Real Madrid, no, we much prefer to think of ourselves as a Barcelona style team.

Maybe the FA should start to put more money into grassroots refereeing??? What a brilliant idea! It would surely have a big knock on effect for the whole of football. Refs at grassroots are better, and over time replace those who are crap up the leagues, players and management won't be off cheesed off with refs (in theory) and we as fans won't be worried that about half of the games a season have the ref impact the end result.

You'd think that Carl would be used to losing to us by now but it doesn't show in what he has to say there! Thing is, it's not that much of a deal to us. We focus more on playing attractive football which means we do well in the FA cup, get games played on TV and even have a mention or two on Match of the Day. Gloucester can hardly get a story in their local rag.

I don't think I heard any of my suggestions, but the music played wasn't THAT bad. Ref didn't seem to like it carrying on at half time mind. Also, credit to the newbie in the PA box, spoke well and clearly, but it's Deon, not Dean Burton.

Went over the foot high gate, got to the tunnel, didn't go down it, I'd have said he was within a metre of the ref for a moment. Could have done with more then the one young lad as a steward there if I'm honest. Thanks for saying what the refs chat was about though Verner! Well done to the stewards who from what I saw largely dealt with a bigger then usual, more cheesed off then usual crowd. How did we cheat today? I don't believe I said you cheated. I would certainly argue that a few of your players were unsporting, but I wouldn't say Gloucester cheated.

Well, the football you watch isn't very entertaining, so we thought we'd try and give you something to smile about. It's non-league football. If I wanted to watch slick passing football I wouldn't go looking for it in the sixth tier. It's about goals. It's about winning. It's about endeavour. I support my home town team and love it. Some non-league teams can play slick passing football, some premier league teams cannot! Fair play for supporting local though, I cannot knock that too much.

If Worcester won in such a manner, I'd probably be saying ''we did what we needed to and got a result'', I wouldn't be happy with it though. Escort was needed - an elderly chap went straight past the young steward at the end of the game to give the ref a piece of his mind down the tunnel! It certainly was an odd moment when the lino and ref had a natter, not sure anyone really knew what it was about. The elderly chap didnt go passed the gates into the tunnel area did he ? We escourted him off quickly and with no problems. Went over the foot high gate, got to the tunnel, didn't go down it, I'd have said he was within a metre of the ref for a moment. You're right, ref did only speak to Carl and the steward when he went over, but the message was then passed on to their management by Carl. Reason I mentioned the Older bloke was because it's not expected. You get Teenage - Middle age angry folk, but it's rare to see an older gentleman step over the barrier to have his say. Cannot say I blame him.

Gloucester won, would I like Worcester to win in a similar manner? Not sure. Hopefully we can keep things together but it is getting ever so close at the bottom. I think the linesman may have suggested to the ref that an escort may be necessary at the end of the game with the crowd becoming increasingly incensed by what was going on. Only my opinion. If Worcester won in such a manner, I'd probably be saying ''we did what we needed to and got a result'', I wouldn't be happy with it though. We have more about us. I think the second half wasn't as good as the first performance wise, perhaps fatigue set in a little. I will however blame the ref I'm afraid. If you are playing to the best of your ability, and the ref doesn't give things your way when opposition players are fouling left right and centre, then it will surely be hard not to lose faith.
To look at some positives, Cleet, Sharpe and Minihan all had great games. If only Hughes was fit, to come on as a sub h could have won the game for us. Hey ho, lets move on. Next ref can only be better... Right?
I'd love to see the refs match report, it'd be the best joke around.

Ref just had a word with linesman, managers and a steward, might be called off as its getting hard to see the far side due to rain. Watch this space!

Goal to Gloucester, referee should be credited with the assist. Gave a penalty to them (I don't think it was) two minutes after we had a claim not given (I think it should have!)

1-1. Good goal by Gloucester, they were unlucky about 10 minutes before too. We probably had the better of the half, but Gloucester certainly worked hard in the last 15 of the half.

the lack of support at our home games which must be a worry to our board for the future of the club. I thought that too, should the 583 average we've had so far this season be a fair reflection on the season as a whole, it doesn't sound brilliant... BUT, I just had a look, last seasons average attendance was 531 (it was 553 after 10 home games) so we look decent in comparison. Remember we've still got some games with what should have an above average attendance to come, Gloucester, FCUoM, Stockport and a promotion chasing Solihull Moors.

Gateshead away was a 'magic trip' and the performance took the hardcore 132 loyal City fans back to the wondrous moments of last seasons run. I'd say that was also the last time we saw Geddes really buzzing in the blue and white stripes and that usually meant the rest of the team would perk up around him..i'll certainly miss him, a part of me hopes the door might be open for a return still (if Danny Glover managed to wangle a return then surely Sean would!!!!!). I very nearly said Gateshead was my main high, the team played brilliantly, them coming over and celebrating with us was great to see, thought it was particularly funny of Matt Gardiner to do a quick sprint on the athletics track too!! I did find the group of teenagers sat in front of me for the game a bit annoying though, all were busy checking the premier league scores on their phones, not one of them celebrated either of our goals.

Well we are now into 2016 and I hope it's a good one for you all, and for the club. I thought it'd be a good time to have a look at the first half of the season. Sorry, this is a bit of a long one! In the league: Total Games: 21 | Home Games: 10
| Away Games: 11
| Total Won: 7 | Home Won: 4 | Away Won: 3 | Total Draw: 4 | Home Draw: 2 | Away Draw: 2 | Total Lost: 10 | Home Lost: 4 | Away Lost: 6 | Total Points: 25 | Home Points: 14 | Away Points: 11 | Total Goal Difference: -5 | Home Goal Difference: +1 | Away Goal Difference: -6 |
Highest League Attendance: 726 Lowest: 307 Average: 583 A season of a few highs, and many lows so far, but there's reason to be positive at the halfway mark. At the start of the season, bar a few top performances, we were terrible. The summer signings of Rowe, Campion, Nash, Lloyd-Weston and McDonald for whatever reason weren't working, and returning city players were struggling to find form, even after setting themselves some very ambitious goals for the season. None mentioned above are with us now, having moved on to other clubs, Rowe and Campion joined a big club, Elvins nearly followed suit before realising Telford are terrible deciding work commitments would get in the way. Nash duel registered with Banbury, McDonald moved to Corby on loan and Lloyd Weston moved to the newly made Hereford FC. Keeper James Severn was with us for a short spell before a big move to Ross County came along, he'll probably be remembered for letting in an overhead goal from the opposition keeper at Holbeach (yup, that's been seen nearly a million times) In came the new recruits, who it has to be said, could be considered old recruits, due to their age. Shaun Harrad, Lee Hughes and Deon Burton all bolstered our attacking force, while the the back line was improved with ex-kiddy player Tom Sharpe and the ever popular 'Tommaldinho' aka Wayne Thomas. Results improved somewhat, and we're starting to move back up the league. Geddes moved back to Stourbridge after struggling to recreate the brilliant form of last season, a decision which surely seems to have divided opinion among us. We had another cup run, getting to the first round this time, and a trip to Sheffield United, it was arguably the hardest opposition we could get. The cup fans came out and gave us a huge voice (of sorts), but sadly the dream wasn't to be, suspensions to Geddes and Hughes meant we were lacking creativity going forward, and we lost the game 3-0. The lads didn't disgrace themselves against much higher opposition, and took more fans then most league 1 clubs take to Brammal Lane. Should we replicate our form from the first 21 games point for point, we'll end up on 50 points, 10 less then last season, but in a position that should keep us in the league. I think form has improved, and so has the squad, so I'm going to guess we'll get to 57 points, and be a team right in the middle of the league. My high from the season so far has to be going to Sheffield. We may have lost, and we may have had some unfortunate events go on in our part of the ground, but it's a rare opportunity for our club to do well in the cup, I soaked up every moment of it. Low point was probably Nuneaton at home. I still feel like we were cheated of the game, the ref was clueless. Still, a chance to set the score right in February eh! What are your highs and lows of the season so far? Perhaps more interestingly, how many points do you think we'll have by the end of the season?

I fully agree with Tim. I think I'd start with them. They both seemed to have a good amount of support from those around me on Monday, if the crowd continue to get behind them on Saturday, it will hopefully be enough for us to have another clean sheet and another win against Gloucester.
