Yup, it's almost always the club that buys the player who requests/insists the transfer fee is undisclosed, so that potential future buyers don't know how much the player cost them!! If I remember rightly, both George and Graham Hutchison's transfer figures were five figure, which means £10,000 - £99,999 (pick a number you fancy from somewhere in between!) plus a future clause, which usually means we'll get a cut of any future transfer fee.
To give an example as to why it's a good idea to negotiate sell on fees in a contract, I'll use a relatively recent example. QPR sold Raheem Sterling to Liverpool for just £600k in 2010, before he had played a professional game, but the transfer had a few clauses in it, so QPR receive money after a certain number of games played, goals scored, and caps won for country, which could all take his fee up to a respectable five million. Crucially, the transfer had a 20% sell on clause. Sterling moved to Man City in the summer for £44,000,000, plus a potential future £5,000,000 which means Sterling made QPR roughly £600k + £4.4mil + 8.8mil with another £1mil possibly to come! That could mean a total of £14,800,000, for a player that never featured in their first team.
Lets hope either Willo or Hutch turn out to be future Sterling for us...

I like a fair few of the suggestions, mostly because I can imagine what they could look like on a banner, but I've certainly been turned towards the thinking that if there isn't a club, then we don't need a banner, so if we do decide to have a banner, it should be to try and help get us home, probably by having a go at the council. On that thought, I think the best two suggestions so far are:
''Worcester City Football Club
Not Playing In Worcester Since 2013...''
and
''Worcester city Council: We support our club, why don't you?''

Almost every website receives spam in some form or another, it's one of those things that you cannot stop, but can remove once up. I look after the website of a local charity and we get 4-5 spam messages sent through the contact forms on the website a week, usually pretending to sell the same thing. The Banter Board gets the same sort of spam, I've noticed it 2-3 times in the past, but always gets removed fairly quickly. Best practice is to never click any links you're unsure about, and not to interact with them. There is a 'report post' button, should you feel it needs reporting.

I listened at the time and felt he was fair, if firm. It's early days in terms of how the atmosphere in the dressing room is, as we've only had 1 game under Jacko as captain, but it's a 100% win rate. If the players begin to have more fighting spirit in them, then I think it probably justifies ''moving on'' the players that we have this season. At home games the crowd have been a little quiet in my opinion (I sit in the middle of the main stand, so don't always hear the shed army lot). If we're playing poorly, there are plenty of groans at a misplaced pass, or ignoring a player in space (usually Dunkley). We only seem to get noisy in support of the team when they seem to be pressing for a late winner/equaliser. I'll admit, I do to from time to time moan and groan during a match, and could be louder in support, but the voice often doesn't last the full 90. If you ask me, as paying fans, we have the right to say what we think, but only if we can justify it. At the Corby game someone went down to the front at the end of the match and directed all his criticism at Matt saying he's a terrible manager, poor tactics, bad team selection, should be sacked... this is a couple of games after the incident when someone (maybe the same person) got under Matts skin, and had him speak back at the crowd to try and find out who it was. The guy who I saw at the Corby game didn't have a single bad thing to shout at Carl, even though he was much closer to us! I get that Carl is a fan favourite, club legend and the rest, but they're joint managers, so should receive joint criticism, and joint praise, dependant on how we feel, right? I still fully back the pair as managers, and I'm really looking forward to watching us play North Ferriby on Saturday, which isn't something I thought I'd be saying just a few days ago. (I must be fickle!)

this all needs to be 'Fylde away' - if you excuse an awful pun I had to read that 4 times before I got it... I'm not sure if that shows how bad the pun was, or how slow I am!!

I get where you're coming from, but it'd also mean it'd only really be useful until we do get back home. After that it's redundant, unless you can think of a phrase that would still work when we're back home. Yes, but if this helps us get back home then it's done its job. We can happily invest in another. It needs to be focused on a specific point for the press to seize on. Good point, no ground, no club. No club, no banner.

Do I think Ellis performed well this season? No. Do I think he's been a loyal player to us, sticking with the club when most left? Certainly.
We should give him some respect, he after all won a player of the season award or two, voted by us while with at the club.

Version 2, as put on Facebook by Gary Cave. I personally prefer this one, and does give a ''we belong in the city'' message.

Without a reference to moving back home the banner will be a waste of time. This is about getting a message across. I get where you're coming from, but it'd also mean it'd only really be useful until we do get back home. After that it's redundant, unless you can think of a phrase that would still work when we're back home.

After talking to Matt and Carl before the game we were really down to barebones. Neither Smith or any of the subs, except Burton were fit. There was a true team spirit tho that really showed through and the management and team deserves massive credit for a great performance. Thanks for the insight! I thought Jamie must have had something wrong with him as from the radio commentary, he didn't do to badly, and it wasn't really a like for like sub.

I haven't done the maths..... But what a really youthful starting line up as well. Fantastic effort I make it a total team age of 240, but may be a year or two shy if there's been any birthdays I've not accounted for. Works as average player age of 21.8 years. As birth date hasn't been accounted for, this to might be a small bit out. A youthful team non the less, exactly how a team should be! Excitable, ambitious 18-23 year olds led by a couple of battle hardened veterans. I wouldn't have thought we'd have such a young team a couple of months ago, as some starting lineups were probably closer to 30 than they were to 20. EDIT: A quick sum in my head makes the average age of the team we started at home to Telford (our last game scoring 3 goals) had an average team age of 27.5(ish)

Good question, I feel like a ''we really don't appreciate being messed around'' banner isn't so catchy though, and will have a limited life.

North Ferriby at home next, they kept their position of 2nd in the league today after beating Brackley 2-1. Will be a tough game, but hopefully this performance along with a hopefully strong and positive city support will give the players confidence to do as well as we know they can, once again.

Good idea to have a new thread for this, the ''When'' thread was getting a bit off topic (partly my fault I'm afraid!)
I think a simple ''Come on you City Boys'' white text on City blue background would be effective, but open to other ideas!
I think it's a good idea to give fans the vote on a big banner, as they'll be the ones seeing it the most, and hopefully putting some money to it. If someone is able to come up with some designs, an in person vote could be done when they donate towards it, I'm sure those who aren't connected online would appreciate this.
My wallet tells me I'm happy to put a fiver or so in, maybe more if I really like the design!

Deeney's departure may have lifted the cloud around the players, a new captain with a great attitude was exactly what we needed it seems. He's better than Troy, he's better than Troooooy. Danny Jackman, he's better than Troy.

So many mad games today, clearly everyone in our league took inspiration from Norwich - Liverpool at lunch.
Harrogate 6 - 0 Moors FCUM 5 - 1 Lowesoft Staylbridge 3 - 5 Tamworth And of course Fylde 2 - 3 Worcester! FULL TIME!
Some much needed points well earned, I think we're 16th now, and we've scored 3 in a league match for the first time since Telford in November

Smith came off, Burton on, and more recently Jackman off, Thomas on and recieved armband, so probably confirms that Wayne is our vice-captain.
still 2-2, City holding off the plenty of attacks. Sounds like Tyler has made a few off the line clearances. As I write, dean Waldron comes on for Cleet.

So long as it doesn't have anything like ''the world famous'' on it, I'll be happy enough. I've not a clue how much a banner would cost to have made up, maybe a fiver each would be too little.

2-2 shortly into the second half. 20th of the season for Danny Rowe the scorer apparently
Before the match I think we'd have taken a draw, lets hope we can still get that or better.
