Are we due a pitch inspection following all the rain?
I notice the Harriers game at Cheltenham is now off (waterlogged pitch).

I asked someone at the club this about 9am and was told that as it stood then there was no inspection planned

On Twitter 20 minutes ago says the pitch is playable, but has started to rain, so it depends on the amount of rain we have between now and 3pm, looks like they are leaving up to the referee when he arrives.

Worcester City fc - 8 minutes ago - " Game On " - pitch is draining well with all the rain we have had, but if we have a large amount of rain before kick off this situation could change , check twitter and club websites for any updates .

1-1. Good goal by Gloucester, they were unlucky about 10 minutes before too. We probably had the better of the half, but Gloucester certainly worked hard in the last 15 of the half.

Goal to Gloucester, referee should be credited with the assist. Gave a penalty to them (I don't think it was) two minutes after we had a claim not given (I think it should have!)

Ref just had a word with linesman, managers and a steward, might be called off as its getting hard to see the far side due to rain. Watch this space!

Enjoy relegation Gloucester. We're the team staring relegation now! Look at the league table, Gloucester are above us so they can laugh at us. First 35 we were immense! How we were not 2 or 3 up at half time is beyond me. But hoe can a team play do differently 2nd half? Poor management surely, Wat the hell happened? Don't bring the referee into it(yes he was terrible) but our 2nd half was not good enough and we are now in serious trouble. We have some brilliant players but we're not scoring enough, that could be put downfall.

We have more about us. I think the second half wasn't as good as the first performance wise, perhaps fatigue set in a little. I will however blame the ref I'm afraid. If you are playing to the best of your ability, and the ref doesn't give things your way when opposition players are fouling left right and centre, then it will surely be hard not to lose faith.
To look at some positives, Cleet, Sharpe and Minihan all had great games. If only Hughes was fit, to come on as a sub h could have won the game for us. Hey ho, lets move on. Next ref can only be better... Right?
I'd love to see the refs match report, it'd be the best joke around.

Minihan had a great game? He was turned time and time again and just cannot defend at this level yet.
Didn't see the penalty but our claim a few minutes before looked good. First goal was a massive deflection, the only reason it went in.
Gloucester aren't a footballing side like we are, bunch of cloggers and cheats, will find it hard to stay up particularly against sides better than we are.
Are we sure the ref wasn't an escaped mental patient?

Ref was a disgrace, Gloucester were animals... hope we put this down to just one of those days, cannot see how you can blame management, yes the boys were not as good second half but when you get the Ref give a penalty that was outside the box in first place had that confirmed by a lad who used to be a ref & was in line & his comment it was a dive, 6.6 in the diving pool at swimming... heads drop when you have to play against 12... lets stay positive & i am happy to support this team & management they do us proud... i would never support any team like Gloucester who are animals & cheats the way they chopped Dunkley was disgraceful...

best players were Sharp Minihan & the No4 not yet got his name... Dunkley was good but kept getting chopped, Nti did some good work especially covering Nelson Addy when he went forward the rest of the lads were OK not going to be negative...

Ellis had a mare as well, not sure what all that was about, perhaps he was carrying a knock.
It was Minihan who gave the ball away and then missed a tackle that immediately led on to the penalty.

Mental patient is spot on, I can forgive inconsistency, but this guy was something else. I also Googled/Twitter searched 'Ben Cooke referee' on the way home and he has form for being atrocious. A lot of form. The thing that has really pissed me off is the business after the final whistle with Nathan, 2 yellows after he has taken the last kick of the match....what on Earth can that be for?!?! He is a new referee to this level so hopefully an assessor will be there and he will go back to Sunday League.
First 35 mins is as good as we have been all season. Passed it well, creative, making runs, but we didn't take our chances and we guilty of too many long range efforts. I could sort of see the logic cause Jas Singh looked unsure with his handling early on so peppering him from distance could have led to a mistake, especially in the conditions. Unfortunately our shooting lacked venom, he had easy saves and built his confidence up a bit.
Second half we did drop off, probably from over doing the pressure first half and getting tired, and when the ref is giving you nothing its easy to get down. It wasn't completely abject and we still passed it well at times, but it was considerably more scrappy - Gloucester dragged us down to their level!
Thought Ebby and Sharpe had good games, and Donellan and Cleet again, Donellan in particular looked very composed on the ball. Minihan was actually ok going forward but as I and others have said, isn't quite at the required level defensively.
Gloucester were lucky, simple as that. Huge deflection and a penalty that never was. You don't have to be a footballer to get in their side, just over 6ft.
One of those days, perhaps, but we are looking very nervously over our shoulders and may have to rely on getting some results against teams in the top 8 to be comfortable.
As an aside - Shaun Harrad I am almost beginning to feel sorry for. He was clearly a decent footballer having made 100s of football league appearances in the not too distance past. He just can't get a run in the team, is probably devoid of any confidence and as a result doesn't offer very much when he does come on.
I also can't help but think Ashley Vincent could be on his way out having lost his place on the wing to Tristan, at his age he will want to be starting every game and I would imagine he isn't cheap being ex-league, especially being warming the bench.

Apparently not far off the WBA 1st team squad and is captain of their U21 side. Can also play in center midfield. Him and Cleet look terrific loan signings, would be good to keep them until end of the season along with Ebby but I would imagine if we are making contributions to their wages it will be too expensive.

It was Minihan who gave the ball away and then missed a tackle that immediately led on to the penalty. as i said i did not want to put a negative on players but agree with your comment, only reason is he was still carrying a knock, i think he needs a couple of games on the bench, it will either give him some want or he will do a Geddes, Ellis has not been as good this season as last on a constant basis, or take the captains band off him, as this could be hampering him, Sharp or Thommo could take the band or even Jacko.

Gloucester fans rather hilariously trying to take the moral high ground on their forum. They were time wasting from 60 minutes!

Disappointing, at 1-0 up we had a good couple of opportunities. Nti went for placement and the goaly saved well and then Ebby brought the ball forward from his own half and looked like he was going to score but didn't.
Gloucester double teamed on Dunkley. Made their intentions clear early on when they flattened him. They tested the ref and when they found they could get away with it they persisted with their spoiling tactics whenever we threatened. If we resorted to their level we had plenty of opportunities to disrupt their breakaway before it got into the danger area but it took a deflection to draw them level. That said they had hid the post just before.
Second half their forward seemed to have a Worcester shirt in his hand and the ref was not able to spot this. This persisted during the game and Gloucester succeeded in unsettling Worcester and disrupting their build up play. Couldn't tell if it was a pen or not from where I was sat, but once they took the lead they cranked up the gamesmanship. Dunkley had a less effective second half probably as a direct result of being hacked several times. When the final whistle went I was thinking to myself Worcester had done well to avoid all this provocation only to see a red card brandished at Vaughan.
Gloucester won, would I like Worcester to win in a similar manner? Not sure. Hopefully we can keep things together but it is getting ever so close at the bottom.
I think the linesman may have suggested to the ref that an escort may be necessary at the end of the game with the crowd becoming increasingly incensed by what was going on. Only my opinion.

Agree with all the comments above - you'll struggle to see a worse referee or opposition this season!!
Summed up with the number of lectures their 8 had for persistent fouls and then some bloke runs across Gater when he came on, tripped and Gater gets booked!!
Also really poor turn out by Gloucester - 100 I believe. Deserve relegation when it comes
