Just before the National Anthem I'm sure I saw Wayne Bridge mouth: "Tonight Matthew I'm going to be ........................................... Adam Burley." I liked that Nickb - very funny. As for England......Pathetic. Got sky sports news on as I write this and it looks like Maclaren has got the push. lets look on the bright side. City have a team that based on their last performance are of equal quality as the England team.

Stayed in nearby Protaras about five years ago and passed through Ayia Napa once or twice. It seemed a nice place and not as full of pi**ed up yobs as I had expected. Mind you, I guess they all sleep during the day and party all night

Ealing, I work in the Black Country and I don't think most of the locals would appreciate being called Brummies

There would be no trouble from those of us who watch City regularly and I for one would love to play you. Unfortunately, the morons would probably turn out and spoil it for the rest of us.

I have one, provided to me by my employer. It's never let me down.
I still carry a road atlas in the car just in case it packs up but in my experience, if it is working it is extremely reliable and useful.

I heard that they were stealing tickets from one another outside the ground too.

A few years back I was walking through the shambles and as I turned to go into Reindeer Court I bumped into this guy. We apologised to one another and carried on. When I turned to look at him I recognised him - Roy Hattersley.
Impressed?

Hugely frustrating is an understatement.
I'm not sure how sales are going for the Baggies, but if they have been anything like what I have heard about at Derby, it' s likely that all 90,000 tickets could have been sold.

I spent ages yesterday trying to get hold of tickets for the Championship play off final all to no avail. Derby and West Brom both have 33500 tickets to sell. So if the stadium holds 90,000 where are the remaining 23,000 tickets All held back for the corporate people and theur guests I suppose

Thanks for all your best wishes.
Alison, I'll see you and Mr T on the Brookside sometime in September (my holiday in late August will probably mean I will miss the start of the season). Have a nice summer.

I have heard the rumour. It came from a close relative of an employee of the club - a source I would consider reliable.

If you want to make a contest of it, I still claim victory because he is not actually holding the cup! Nice one though.

Yes Alison, it's the real me. As for the cup, I can't say for certain. I know the FA Cup has one or more 'stand ins' but I work for E.on and we were told that because of our company's sponsorship of the FA Cup competition it would visit each of our offices during the course of the sponsorship.
I can say that there was security in evidence and much as I would have liked to raise it over my head, it was as much as I could do to just hold it!
Any way, just wanted to share the moment with you and thanks Mazey.

Yes, it's all gone a bit flat I'm afraid.
To be honest, I am seriously considering not renewing my season ticked this time around. After all, the season is over now (lets be honest) and there are still a few games left which I feel I must attend or I am wasting my season ticket. If I just payed on the gate I could stay home and listen on the raido and save a few quid.
