Back in the 70's he played for Leeds United (remember them?) in a cup final at Wembley. Dislocated his shoulder towards the end of the game but still managed to walk up the steps after the match to collect his medal.

Absolutely bloody fantastic!!!
Well done lads. I am starting to go to a City game expecting to win rather than hoping to.
Who was it who confidently predicted on another thread that we would not get anything out of a game against Harrogate?

The current forecast is for overcast weather with temperatures just above freezing from now until Saturday evening. Unless this changes I would expect the game to be on.

City should make a counter claim for having to have him actually PLAY once or twice for the team then they could just call it quits

All agreed then. The best team will win.

Looked on occasion to have the potential to be the player Andy Preece said he was. Unfortunately, those occasions were far too few and far between.
Lovely goal against Kettering in the mud last season though.

It seems to me that a few weeks ago when we were all predicting how City would fare this season, most of us were expecting mid-table obscurity or maybe sneaking the play off's. Now all of a sudden we have a poor squad who are going to have to scrap to stay out of relegation trouble. Why are that same squad that we had at the start of the season suddenly no good?
Can we please have a bit of optimism for God's sake?
This squad is good enough to finish mid-table.
I would remind you all of the league position Crystal Palace were in at Christmas time the season they got promoted. Bottom of the league I believe. Did they not finish as champions that season?
All we need to do is find our own Ian Dowie.

Sure I am being super optimistic.
I am a Worcester City supporter.

Based upon the principle that the squad are a decent lot and will want to make amends for Monday's horror show, I predict a 2-1 hard fought win for City. Attendance 368.

And I thought it was only me that thought Leeds were scum.
After reading various forums here and there along with the comment above by BDS it appears that is a commonly held view among football fans at all levels.

We left at half time, I have never seen such a pitiful performance from City. Total and utter crap! So that's why I could not see you from my seat in the stand! To be honest, I wish I had not bothered staying for the second half. Apart from Troy Wood I think I could have done better even with my crutches!!! Anyone interested in purchasing a part-used season ticket?

Good show today by all really. More please.
What a pity that we hoofed so many long high balls up to Danksy and Craig for their big defenders to head straight back to us. It's no good expecting danks to fend off a bid defender to claim such high balls.
Lucky Barrow were useless infront of goal or we could have lost 5-1 as they had numerous chances in the second half. However, only a Barrow supporter could claim that they were all over City (as one of them did!!!!!!).

City to thrash a hapless Celtic 4-1 (Macca, Webby, Patrice and Danks) att: a chilled to the bone 801 As far as I am aware, Patrice has possible medial ligament damage so I doubt he will score any goals for City for a while. I'll go for a 2-1 to city with goals by Wilding and Nwadike. 847 to see it.

That being? (I thought our best player was Sam Wedgbury, who was a Preece signing!) I don't think Alison is looking at things from a 'footballing ability' point of view

Anyone got any thoughts on Jim Smith now he hasresigned as manager of Oxford. Plenty of experience for the job. I was talking about that very possibility with a friend a couple of weeks ago, but did not dare post it on here. If the 'bald eagle' still has the hunger for it, I for one would welcome him. And before anyone mentions the fact that he is over 60, I am talking about managing the team not playing centre forward!

Paul Parker maybe?
He did some management somewhere down south a while ago didn't he?
What is David Platt up to these days? (just posing the question here, not proposing him necessarily).
