...I hate to go and leave this pretty sight (as the song says), but as it is my last day at work today, and I join the ranks of the Senior Citizens tomorrow, I shall temporarily be without access to the net.
Hooray I hear you say.
Well, sorry to say, the bad news is that I'll be back! And as I'll then hopefully have more time on my hands I'll be posting more rubbish than ever.

I bet you will too busy enjoying your freedom Tim. I would love to retire but for some reason Mr T is refusing to have a second job! Some people are just sooooooo selfish!
Enjoy yourself, especially the lie ins!

What lie-ins? The hens have to be let out @ 7.00 or they start kicking up a din.
I have promised myself a cup of tea in bed tomorrow.

Yes well done Tim, and DON'T fall into the trap of having lie ins, or you'll start growing old, and I understand you've paid up a 10 year season ticket for Big Match!!!!

Well - that didn't last long did it? Internet up and running using this new-fangled wi-fi, with a little bit of help from a man in Bombay on the BT Help Line.
Oh how I hate installing new software; it never does what it says on the tin!
More thoughts on retirement to follow.

Thankyou Andy. Tuesday will be the first day when I would have gone to work, so I suppose that will count as the first day of real retirement.

Well make sure you've protected it, I know of at least two people who seem to think it's ok to surf the net on somebody elses connection...

Its an interesting point this one, I am of the belief that broadband internet access should be freely distributed. I'm well firewalled up, but if my neighbour should using my connection to surf, I don't mind.

If they do something illegal using your connection it's your door the Police will come knocking on...
