I expect DH will be going down later on with some of his farmer friends to cover the pitch in straw to ensure the pitch will be ok for this much needed gate............. NOT !!!

I can't disagree with either of you. However, the point I'm trying to make is that refraining from staying away will help a little & considering the mountains of work being done behind the scenes at present by the board (well Anthony) the trust & SAG it would show some solidarity & give them some heart for the work they're doing. You never know, it might just help RD & the team as well !!!

I think I've got my sums right 11 home matches left £11 entrance fee That equates to 413 increase on the gate each week to recoup the £50k. Although this is probably extremely unrealistic, it does show how much help the "stayaway fans" could help.

I only saw 3 at the stadium NOT squeezing in one car. DB, LB, JP (& GH who is definately not a director).

Which meeting was that Gobby ? The one after the match which everyone was urged to go to help pay the team's wages ? The one you could not be bothered to come to.......... AND my guess is the one where everyone who did turn up to will have left really buzzed up & ready to do what they can to help !!

I'll be helping in the HK lounge before the match & will obviously pay my £11 entrance. I did ask RW how he thought the best way to pay would be to "make a point" & he suggested giving the money directly to AH. On reflection I have an idea the Trust may like to think about. Have a collection for people like myself held near the players tunnel at a time when most of them can see what support they have, hopefully seeing our passion & money this will give them a great boost !! Come on Gobby, surely even you would visit the lane to prove to the players that we are right behind them.

So if you wear a WCFC tie you are mistaken for a director & don't pay.......... Uuummmm What about anyone else that says I'm with ******* ? What about security staff friends ? What about ex players ? What about ex staff members ? What about ex youth team passes ? The list is endless, perhaps someone responsible should man the freebie gate............Uuummmmmm They do I suppose, THE SO CALLED SECURITY !!!!

may I give a couple of comments on this thread cogg.......... IT LOOKS LIKE HAPPY HAPPY LAND IS NOW BEING ENJOYED BY A FEW MORE THAN ME !! greenman.......... Good to see you getting behind "the club" rather than personalities at last. AND remember you helped to keep the secretary in his position !!! suv......... You're right results will increase gates, but the "stayaways" can help a little. Tim Munslow.......... Well done, you're obviously a real supporter who supports the team not opposes the problems. gobby.......... Come back & help rather than trying to be the critic from hell, & if you want the handbag fight why not make it this week & [glow=red,2,300] put a few extra coffers into our club rather than Newport's.[/glow] weBBtony......... sorry for the name change, but it nice to see you being a little more positive. Jeremy.......... Keep asking the questions. Richwidd............ Good to see you back in the fold. ALL IN ALL IT LOOKS LIKE THAT THOSE THAT REALLY CARE ARE BACK AND WILLING TO HELP............ WELL DONE GUYS.

Actually croc (and you know me better than that greenman) I do not see the club thro' "rose tinted glasses". From the outset I was against most of the nominees & made that point quite clear. I simply believe that they should be given the chance to prove themselves before we engage in complete negativity !

So what is your stance Gobby ? You're obviously not a fan any longer so are you hoping for the club to collapse ? Far better be like the majority & support the club to help it grow again ! If you can't think of any positive comments PLEASE JUST GO AWAY

Like I suggested after the AGM, we should get behind the "new board" until such time as they prove they are not worthy of the position. So far it's all positive vibes & a little more optimism may be in order. webtony, with and end comment like that.........maybe it's time for you follow Gobby !

Oh dear oh dear Gobby............. Can you not even have a good word to say about the fund raising efforts of volunteers ? Perhaps it's time for you to find another cause to fight, because you are doing WCFC no good at all with your constant critisism of everything & everyone. Now that you've decided not to come to St Georges Lane again, why don't you disappear to another club altogether !!!"

I asked for the meeting, and fully intend to have a chat with Anthony. I do not know enough shareholders or trust members to organise a meeting. Jeremy has kindly suggested a contact who I will PM now. Hopefully an organised forum can happen.

I've just recieved this e mail from Anthony I will be happy to meet you all after the match on the 20th at a venue of your choosing please can we try and reduce the Alcohol intake as I would like to get out alive! My reply was A great response Anthony I'd suggest The H K lounge........... Perhaps someone will have the brains to man the bar ! I'll post this on the forum to see if the majority would agree to that venue Look forward to seeing you Regards Jim It looks like he has got the decency (& balls) to meet us. Can any one help organise this & confirm that The HK would be the best venue

That's good news Rich. However, without taking anything away from the trust because I've no doubt it can offer far more than most of us imagine. The shareholders of the company have far more rights to question this fiasco than the general public.

Anthony It really is time this farce was ended. Rumours are obviously rife regarding vote fixing, candidates being elected in order to veto others etc etc You PROMISED that you would be an open & honest Chairman of WCFC, now surely is the time to prove it. In my opinion, you have probably more support than you can imagine due to your being so frank. Please give this support your backing by meeting the shareholders who really would like to trust you. My suggestion would be to hold an open forum meeting after the next home game with as many shareholders as possible. I would also urge you to hold this meeting yourself, without any other board members to "mar" the occasion & to ensure you hear the real feelings of the shareholders of this football club. You may also wish to invite The Supporters Trust, who can & under the right circumstances will move this club forward: There is an immence amount of talent & passion involved in it. I can assure you this will either do you an incredible amount of good in ensuring the help & support of the those against the present regime, or drive them away for good ! This will be a win win situation for you. I shall be posting this e mail without any edits on the city banter board ( citybanterboard.proboards101.com/index.cgi ) please check it out to see, what I think will be a massive response & support for this opportunity. Regards Jim

Now that there are vacancies (& redundancies) 1). I wonder if RW or DJ will be co-opted in order to secure their offer to guarantee a large income for the social club. 2). I wonder if that offer still on the table. 3). I wonder if any of the "SAG" group will put themselves forward to this board. Now may be a good time to see which faction will swallow their pride & prove to us who really does have the best interest of the club at heart.

[glow=red,2,300]By the way I note in your (I presume you are the same OldBoy Blue as on the Evening News site, if not Sorry) you mention Cecil Duckworth. He was never turned down by the Club to go on the Board. He was asked personally 3 months ago if this was the case and he said he has never spoken to anybody at WCFC about putting money in or going on the Board - ever[/glow]
Rich, this is completely intrue ! I know that Cecil has beenn asked to sponsor the club on several occasions. I have personally asked him & I arranged a meeting, which did take place for the same purpose with the chairman (at that time) of WCFC

Anthony, It has been written on several threads that according to the rules distributed at the AGM, Martin Pinches should have been voted onto the board. I have read the "VOTING PROCEDURE UPON DEMAND FOR A POLL" & have to agree with those complaining about the outcome being incorrect. It is quite clear that anyone receiving more "against" than "for" votes would not be eligible to be elected. However, it is also quite clear that in the event of more than 12 eligible the 12 to be elected would be the first 12 in descending order with the most number of "for" votes. Given that you have promised to open with us, my two questions are: 1). WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO PUBLICLY ANNOUNCE THIS MISTAKE NOW THAT IT HAS BEEN BOUGHT TO YOUR ATTENTION ? 2). WILL YOU USE YOUR POWERS AS CHAIRMAN TO OVERTHROW THIS DECISION & IF NOT WHY NOT ?

rushwickden I'm just suggesting to support them and your team until such time (if it comes) that they don't deserve it. MAY BE, JUST MAYBE THEY WANTED TO KEEP THE OLD MEMBERS IN PLACE UNTIL FULL DETAILS ARE KNOWN, NOT FOR CONTINUITY BUT TO HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE IF THAT IS NEEDED. Remember, that last night A H clearly stated that there are things that do need investigating Oh here's another prediction I will not be wrong on....... There will be more parking spaces available near the ground today !

Well done Jeremy at least unlike others, you have come out with a positive statement to stay with the club. Lets hope that your objections to Nunnery Way are accompannied by a viable alternative that the company will take on board. And we can only hope that you will give this new lot the same level of backing which you would have given the SAG group & sustain it until such time as they prove to be unworthy of the position, rather than them proving themselves 1st as most people on here seem to be intending. I say give them the benefit of doubt & back them all the way.

creaner, read between the lines. I would predict that they will not all resign at the end of January The 12 candidates proposed by the board, left no room for any other SAG representatives. Besides which, J P. has stated quite clearly that he would like to stay on as a director to see the move to Nunnery Way completed. L B. was given a healthy mandate to stay on. D B. is totally committed. T P. I doubt anyone else on the board could or would want to cover his position.
