I agree with you suv, the point I am trying to make is that the Trust are supposed to be there to help the club & with a little effort surely a few text messages or phone calls would have got far more people to help out.
I'm sure you're right that the match may well have gone ahead if it was a 3pm kick off BUT I think you'll find the decision was also based on Newport police advice because Newport were opening their bar early to attract some income from their away supporters I wonder if we're doing that New Years day

Well that will all change now I presume niels, I've no doubt that people like yourself who apparently wanted little or nothing to do with the club while certain characters were still involved, will be applying for Directorships now that DB has resigned.

It may not have helped if there were more volunteers there. BUT I was shocked at the almost non existance of people willing to help. Where were all of our Directors....... NON, but to his credit Dave Boddy had turned up to help. Even a Newport Director was there. Where were all the Supporters Trust members who are supposed to be helping the club, there was only Rob Creaner & me !!!

The ground doesn't seem to be thawing much, albeit we're well over freezing point. Would it be worth "forking" the pitch, if so it may be worth The Trust organising something. I'd volunteer to give up an hour or so. Any experts out there know anything worthwhile trying

Does any one else think it's going to be a close call now for the match to go ahead. No overnight frost forcast & temperatures rising quite a lot, will it be too little too late ? Fingers crossed eh !!!!

You're probably right that the match will be off, but what a shame when the forcast is for 8 degrees Saturday afternoon

One would hope that "all the stops are being pulled out" for this match to go ahead. It will almost definately be the biggest gate of the season & we can ill afford to lose that revenue. I wonder if they will ask for volunteers to fork the pitch or anything else that may help the situation ?

Looking at the weather forcast, it's almost a definate to be called off unless some cover is put on the pitch

I was told that a former board member had an independent view from their own solicitor, who advised that they were making the right decision. Maybe just hearsay I suppose !!!!

I was simply asking a question rushwickdon, not giving an answer. I do not believe the club is dead, we may have to go into administration to get out of the current mess. But there are a lot of people including "SAG" who have the skills & resources to help, but appear to have lost the desire to offer their help since the AGM/EGM failure. AH has invited the likes of these people to come back to the fold, but instead they seem to be more interested in the history of the fiasco & those involved with it than helping to fix the future

In view of the fact that Anthony Hampson has made it very clear that he would like help on the board. What ever happened to all those people who were going to step forward when David Hallmark left. I guess the excuse is that Dave Boddy is still on the board.......... I wonder what the excuse will be for not coming forward once he has resigned

Can you expect DB to resign after the "witch hunt" & the "petition" ? Did anyone think this might be a pride thing & that he won't resign until he can do it with a bit of self respect. Maybe, he would have gone on his own by now !! BUT great result getting George back in the system

I asked this question some time ago, without any comment from myself. Now is the time to say YES. In my humble opinion he is bloody clueless !!! Those of you who no longer come to matches should do so before making opinions on the dross some of us suffer. HOWEVER, before we say goodbye to R D, perhaps those of us who so actively want to change the personnel on the board should either replace those people themselves, or find a replacement for them. BECAUSE at the moment, there is no-one apart from D B in the system at the moment who could replace the present almost useless management team

Taken from the club site The next fans' forum will be held on Saturday 28th November after City's home league match against Bishop's Stortford.
Among those present to answer your questions will be club chairman Anthony Hampson and team manager Richard Dryden.
The forum will start at 5pm and will be held in the Harry Knowles Lounge. I'm sure I heard The Chairman state that either David Hallmark or Dave Boddy would be told to attend the next forum. As D H has now left the board, I presume D B will be there as well as R D. Any bets as to whether I'm right or wrong ;D

CAN ANYONE EXPLAIN WHAT INFLUENCE ANY OF US WILL HAVE TONIGHT You are invited to attend this Consultative Conference to consider the presentation of the Relocation Project and to comment on the proposals so that the Board of Directors can resolve on the continuing promotion of this established WCC- WCFC policy after the announcement last September of changes to the purchase price of St. George's Lane from £7 million to £3.5 million by the developers Carey with whom the contract was made in 2008. This suggests we have an opportunity to comment & Anthony has basically said that we have the opportunity to say no to it (25 minutes for questions which may well only be accepted from those of us who emailed them What a laugh
AND the agenda (see below) does not even show a show of hands vote......... Baffling eh !!!!
