Very true. I might disagree with the Worcestershire FA on many points in the past- but their business model is a thing of beauty.
Why link themselves with such an ideologically poisonous couple of organisations as we have in Hampson’s band and the Chris Mitchell/Gareth Jones Conservative Axis of Evil and their every-other-Saturday funding (only here to watch the lads whilst watching via woollen eye mask) Quislings?

Just to go back to the media thing with the names as I can offer some other insight into how we work if you put the seriousness into it.
I made a second career fairly late into the world of Sports and Broadcast Journalism - all thanks to the excellent department at the University of Worcester as a mature student.
As a result - single handedly in putting together a one man band of covering all of the annual Varsity week on audio comms - if I never normally got a team sheet - if that was the case, I’d seek out a member of the coaching staff or a captain of the side to either dictate a team sheet to me pre game or email them in the few days before to get some insight of who was taking part - including any interesting info on what certain players did, where they came from etc. This enhanced the experience for both me and the listener/viewer markedly.
As a result I ended up working for Youthcomm - who thankfully gave me the job of covering the last two games on radio at the Lane and the first season at Aggborough - for which I was eternally grateful.
The broadcast and text comms community is a tight knit one when you are based in the correct position in the Press Box.
I remember setting up at Aggborough before our first game in the place against Altrincham. A member of their website approached me (well I was sat next to him) about 45 minutes before kick off asking me where certain City players would line up and who they played for previously, their style of play on the pitch etc. - information that then complemented what was detailed in the programme.
I do remember one experience trying to hunt someone down in the bowels of the National Stadium in Oslo to get a team sheet for a Premier League game there I was covering - which ended up in a very decent chat with the veteran radio commentator for NRK Radio (our older correspondents on here - think the Norwegian equivalent of the peerless Peter Jones)
If you did your pre game prep (which for me was a few days before doing research between lectures and on lunch breaks) then the job became very very easy.
As they say - “poor preparation promotes piss poor performance” - the fabled mantra of the Six P’s...

I’ve not forgotten your answer: “The appeal has been submitted within the timescale previously mentioned. It’s in the hands of the planning inspectorate now. I assume the council will need to hire someone to defend their decision now that it’s in. Hope that helps.” Nonneed to be so defensive and aggressive, it is a fair question to ask again as there doesn’t appear to be anything on the planning inspector website to confirm the appeal is in and running? Not sure how offering to buy you a drink and discuss issues is aggressive! I think the offer of a drink is the least that could be done. Professional help would be more useful for it

There were no Council officials or Worcs FA people that I could see, although I think that local windbag councillor and friend to everyone Stephen Hodgson was there. Interesting that small bit of your account. Was he in support of the plans to shove the club into a boggy, uneven field that would destroy an SSSI and ancient woodland and encroaching on a medieval church - thereby putting his party first - or against them - as a result of listening and representing his Parish Council, Ward and constituents?

I really do hope that Anthony Hampson doesn't find himself "otherwise engaged" this week, and will be at the public consultation. The questions are mounting up, and the rest of the Board have all been unable to give any answers If he turns up and answers questions then I’ll donate £20 to the Supporters Trust. For those there today (I sadly had to work a 14 hour day) - is my £20 winging its way to the desk of the ST? I heard he turned up - but were any questions actually answered? Maybe Hampson’s Quisling Lapdog downthelane can help with that?

So you would like questions and answers, here you are. Q Why support Parsonage Way over Perdiswell? A Perdiswell and Parsonage are both in Council ownership. Success requires. Willing landowner. The Council do not support the use of Perdiswell by refusal of planning (never mind the land debate) so that proposal will never happen. The Council themselves suggested Parsonage so that is far more likely to happen. Q Why are certain posters on here anti-Parsonage Way and finding fault with anything to do with it? A Because they have been involved with Perdiswell for a long time and see Parsonage Way as a direct threat to their personal efforts to get Perdiswell sorted. Understandable but a blinkered view. Q Why did the club leave it so late for a Plan B? A Because those involved with Perdiswell insisted the Board should not be seen to be investigating alternative sites as this could damage the chances of Perdiswell being successful. Parsonage is the Council’s suggested site, so can you really blame the Board for going with the preferred site? “Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt.”

What did Down the lane say?"It is a hopeless attendance and you know it" or something similar. That's come back to bite hasn't it!!!!! To quote from the “Hansard” (if you will): “The turn out of 41 plus 2 media must feel very disapponting - the majority of supporters either aren’t Trust Members or couldn’t be bothered. Could have held it in a pub with such a low turnout, and put the venue hire towards the new ground It is a dire turnout and you know it”

If viewing on iPhone, the words are readable just by zooming in a bit. If viewing on a computer, just hold ctrl and use the mouse scroll button to enlarge the page. If you’re using an older mouse with no scroll button, you can enlarge the screen in the settings tab of your browser. I’ve tried both iPhone and computer and it only takes a slight enlargement to be able to read the text. I’m waiting for downthelane to come in here and tell us in great detail what the plans said and how great it all is. I’m surprised it hasn’t popped its head up here yet

NO. If I have got something to say I will put my name to it. I will also answer anything in public either in meetings or on the Radio, in fact the complete opposite to Downthelane who hasn't answered a single question on anything, ever. Apart from when you posted under the name Dodger

This afternoon, the Planning Committee voted 8-3 to approve planning permission for the proposed distribution centre off Parsonage Way ( the fields at the end of Plantation Drive, ie the other side of the woods to where Hampson's folly is intended ). This was passed despite it not being in the SWDP. Strange how the planning committee interpret the SWDP when it suits ( ie not worth the paper it's written on ). For those of us with long memories, this strip of land ( between the two motorway junctions ) originally could only be built on , if there was a " landmark football stadium ". What a trojan horse WCFC were used as, in opening up this strip of land. It appears that there were plenty of foresighted winners who backed the trojan horse, with just the one loser - WCFC ! Any idea of the breakdown on who voted which way?

Some of you talk like WCFC have some divine right to win. It’s cup football and you win some, you lose some. Would you mind awfully stop being a Yellow streaked coward and answering at least SOME of the questions you’ve been asked from about 10 days ago? Or are you just here to utter spurious nonsense and defamatory remarks when you feel like it?

Just setting this thread up for acolytes/sycophants such as “downthelane” to keep us - the Great Unwashed (including Shareholders) to keep us up to date with the latest, blow by blow, accounts of the majestic new developments adjacent to that lovely Medieval Church in an ultra-safe Conservative Council Ward.
I look forward, particularly, to “downthelane” describing in great detail, the stellar, outshining benefits of this site over any others considered or tabled to great cost over the last decade.
Hopefully it’ll be a top class arena to “pay the money and cheer the boys on every week”

To be clear, I am not against the Supporters Trust. I merely hold the opinion that they are not as accessible as maybe they believe that they are, and if this were improved then they could improve membership, funds and support for their proposals. A variety of views and opinions improves debate and ultimately will Improve the success of the Trust. Can someone from the Trust please advise me the current membership number ? I joined the Trust some years ago, I have never subsequently received any request to renew this membership nor have I received any requests for help despite having offered. It would be better to ask these questions directly to the Supporters Trust, email via the website at - Worcester City Supporters Trust
