Well that didnt take long... 👀 First banning order for a Raiders fan...caught in the toilets with some funny white powder! The managers brother i'm led to believe. Good start to life there! 🙈🙈 🤣🤣 Where was this mentioned? If managers brother, think he is already on a ban fro stadiums anyway, unless it was specific ones I work with a couple of lads who are close to things going on there, the one plays for their reserve team a bit and the other is good friends with Steve Harris, although he is City (and Bromsgrove since moving up there) 👍

Since there's only the 300 capacity restriction in place for this then i'd be thinking that there won't be many tickets available since the season ticket sales will eat into that proportion?
Relieved and thankful that i've purchased a season ticket, shouldnt miss any games through work commitments this time as not worrying about games on Sundays at Bromsgrove lol.

Very interesting reading- Worcester Football Limited - 2 directors....the owners at Warriors setup very very recently Bond Group - 2 Directors.....the owners at Warriors and of course Bond Group own Morcambe FC. So I understand these two now have significant control in Raiders and Morcambe which I'm pretty sure cannot happen and in terms of FA Cup, means Raiders cannot apply. I have it on good authority that the blokes from Warriors will have full oversight of budgets and the management team etc moving forward...i think this is a bullet dodged In other words.....just a matter of time before the colours, name and people are all replaced Yup... the fallout between the Raiders mob and those in charge at Sixways when that predictable scenario happens will make for interesting and from a WCFC perspective, quite fun to watch...they might all be crowing over us right now but they really havent thought it through a few seasons (if theyre lucky to last that long) down the line when they will be dispensed with for the next puppets to take the franchise forwards. End result....Raiders will be crawling back to Claines Lane begging for a space! Or upto Nunnery Wood. 😄😄

I love the way they talk about it as a "collaboration" - Worcester Warriors owners have taken over Raiders, they've effectively bought their way in to the highest league position that they could do in an easy way as possible. Which is absolutely fair enough, nothing wrong with that at all. As the joint majority owners of the business, they will rebrand and rename the club, as Worcester Raiders are now no more. It is now Worcester Warriors Football Club. This is no surprise, they always said that they wanted to form a football club, and it was a choice of either starting from scratch, or buying an existing vehicle, they've chosen the latter option. I was a little bit raw earlier from that news literally breaking.. I agree totally with you now i've had time to digest it... Worcester Franchise FC. As football history has shown us with scenarios like this, the star emerges and shines brightly for a short while before burning out, but it will be interesting to see from our perspective especially. Theres a very strong possibility, almost a fated certainty that our two paths will cross and we will clash swords with them... that will be something to look forwards to, entering the lair to face the monster in their back yard. The main thing we need is to stick together and get behind the City more than ever now, the stepping stones are being put in place for us to focus on climbing back up the leagues ourselves to the Southern Premier League in the mid term 👍

Apparently gamed stopped at Stafford vs Atherstone today due to racial abuse from Atherstone supporters!!! How are these cave men getting away with it? ? Sounds like manager and secretary have resigned?? They should be kicked out of the Vase..they have previous for trouble from a few years back when they played Barrow in the FA Cup...its harsh on the decent fans they have and I was happily chatting to a few of them last saturday along the opposite side of the ground to where all the troublemakers were, but we kept our house in order on Wednesday night and have dealt with the issues that went on in the appropriate manner so how come they havent? Also...its been noticed that during this past week or so that a few individuals from Heather have been cosying up to Atherstone on the twitter pages and sticking their oar into us as well... all leaves quite a sour taste in the mouth for my liking.

The Verner must watch every match through rose, sorry blue and white striped coloured glasses, being far more easily pleased than most fans. Setting aside whatever formation he thinks it was, " most weeks when we are on it " ? In an average league, we are currently 10th having won 8, drawn 5, and lost 8. We have played 12 home games ( 7-3-2 ) , and 9 away games ( 1-2-6 ). 5 of our 8 wins have been against sides below us, and 7 of our 8 losses have been against sides above us. 4 of the 5 draws have been against sides below us. What does this tell me ? We are where we should be. We're strong at home, poor away and not good travellers at all ............and we're not on it most weeks ! He is right in one thing. With our away record, Atherstone will be a very hard place to go. Our record in last 10 league games is Won 5 Drawn 3 Lost 2. If you look at all competitions it's the same stat Won 5 Drawn 3 Lost 2. I'd say that after an iffy start the team have turned a corner and are putting in better and more consistent performances and that's all you can ask for at this level. Agree...whilst the league table doesnt lie position wise you are bang on about the upward trajectory we've seen since November in the performances and goal threat we now pose...think back to that live FA Cup game at Heather and compare that to what we're seeing now...its chalk n cheese stuff. The league is the bread n butter staple diet and I think we will keep ticking over in that because i've felt for a while now we've put an emphasis on the FA Vase..theres a similar vibe and feeling going on that we had during the two Cup runs of 2014 and 2015...maybe thats why we've been going behind in most games, its a kind of practice to gear up for getting a good Cup mentality going. 🙂🙂

Can't see it being on tonight...the other outstanding Vase game left to finish is the Deal vs Binfield replay which is taking place this Saturday the 18th... so there's no reason our game vs Coventry won't be rescheduled for then either taking precedence over a league game, so long as the pitch is playable by then of course.

Agree with all those points...we were pretty sloppy, although our first goal was absolutely top notch regards the movement and passing, someone in the stand was shouting at them to get it forwards quicker and not pass it back right in the middle of that move, I turned round after and said 'patience is a virtue my good sir!'
Got a feeling that we're saving our big performances for the FA Vase games anyway so roll on next Sunday....hopefully Ash will rest the majority for the Raiders clash in midweek...not worth the risk with bigger fish to fry. ☺☺

Another game where we dug ourselves out of a hole after going 2-0 down inside 20 minutes. An impeccable minutes silence pre match to observe the recent sad passing of Johnny Kirkwood as well..

The defender sticks his leg out into fresh air and the Bromsgrove attacker tucks his legs up and goes over it... clever con mimicking Sterling and Vardy, a horrible symptom of modern day football..defenders may as well have their legs tied together at the ankles in future because everything is weighted towards the attacker if they have more intention of looking for a penalty/free kick

A good point about the ref - one of the best we've had in a long time! Agreed, he let the game flow as much as possible and didnt want any of the limelight... But having viewed the highlights I think he got the penalty decision wrong..

They also beat us in the Birmingham Senior Cup in the early 90s when Martyn Bennett was manager..
If my memory serves correct it was a weirdly arranged fixture.. we played Highgate away on the saturday drawing 0-0, and then on the sunday we played a league game at SGL vs Dorchester stuffing them 5-1.
And in the replay we drew 3-3 and lost on penalties.

Kyonn Evans no longer an ex-player! Knew about this a few days ago he was on his way back, from playing with and against him during this summer.. Great turn of pace and has good movement and a bit of a rocket shot..just got to make sure we play the right way to utilise him to full effect, I.e. ball to feet and passes into pockets of space rather than lumpit style

Is there any organized travel being sorted at all i'm wondering??
Daventry doesnt have a train station annoyingly, the closest station is Long Buckby 5 miles away! A return train fare from Foregate to Long Buckby is not unreasonable at £21.60 but then the problem is that last 5 miles!!

I think it's a straight fight between Gainsborough and ourselves for the final relegation place now. As has been mentioned before Gainsborough have a tough run in: 22/04 Kidderminster Harriers Home So it would be a case of trying to match or better their results each week. Gainsborough I believe have the unusual distinction of never having been promoted or relegated in their entire history? I've now got that horrible nagging feeling about that game vs Kiddy Yes, I remember chatting to a few of their fans in the 2-2 earlier this season at the VG and they were proudly relaying that stat of never been relegated to me, quite some feat! Not sure about the promotion bit, theyve moved around leagues a bit havent they so I assume theyve been promoted by play off or a straight promotion spot surely?
