Coventry have got to be out of the Ricoh at the end of the 17/18 season.Luckily they've got the right man in place to sort it out for them. St Modwens building round there by any chance?

Just for something to do before I go to Bromsgrove, I Googled Dave Boddy nothing about Coventry but some interesting reads from 10 Years ago, if anyone has time, take a look to see what he said.

Hasn't Worcester inflicted enough misery on their club? Unbelievable.

Do Coventry really know what they've let themselves in for?

I am probably going to surprise a lot of people here now, but I'm not at all keen with this public character assassination of Dave Boddy, particularly when it involves his employment elsewhere. Dave has tried extremely hard to forge a career in football administration, and despite the heavy criticism he has always received, he's still got the courage of his conviction that this is his career. I've been one of Dave's biggest critics, and I believe that he made some very bad decisions in terms of WCFC, when he was out of his depth swimming with the sharks of SMD and Careys. However, at least he made decisions, and at least he had the balls to talk with shareholders and supporters and explain his decisions, which is more than you can say for our present circus of a Board of Directors. Its a thankless task being involved in football, with the expectation of fans being that unless you're winning every game and being promoted, you're a failure. Football Club Director is probably up there with Estate Agent and Taxman as most unpopular professions, but I always found Dave to be a lot more than your typical "blue blazer" merchant, even though we spent a lot of time in opposite corners of the ring. So good luck Dave in your latest endeavours.

Sorry Jem I can't agree. Lord Cardigan made decisions at the charge of the Light Brigade. They were the wrong ones. Boddy did the same. He was warned about the deals that have sunk WCFC and he took no notice. He's either an idiot or corrupt, possibly both. He's not fit to work in football.
I posted this on the Coventry site:
"Your article states that "Mr Boddy is a divisive figure among Worcester supporters". This is not so. We all hate him. He sold our ground of 108 years despite being warned that the contracts would ruin the club. The deals were useless. We are now homeless and have a season left before the club folds. The ground sale was about a land deal for housing - it had nothing to do with our club. If you have any sense at all you'll steer well clear of this clown. Respect to CCFC and all the best for the future, as a Midlander I want you back at the top soon."
What Boddy did was unforgivable.

FORMER Worcester City chairman Dave Boddy is the new chief executive at League Two Coventry City. Boddy has been promoted to the role at the Sky Blues having initially been appointed as their commercial director in February.

Perhaps Boddy could sell Coventry's ground to bring in some funds.....
Oh! They don't own one, just like us.
