No I knew this would be happening over a month ago You seem to forget that I was part of that conversation, and then it was "might be happening". Niels, don't forget that jcp has a remarkable capability for changing his 'truth' as it suits.

niels, I think you are talking to yourself here, it doesnt look like anyone really cares. and what happened to those volcanos? all a bit of a damp squib? Strangely enough there are at least a dozen people who are interested (that's those that have told me personally) and follow the links and there may be more. There is no real need to respond is there, just watch the footage. I don't see the need to respond on here to Niels's posts although I often click the links to see the footage.

Kieran, if Northwich are successful in the courts this summer and are allowed to stay in Conference North, which team will make way for them - Harrogate? I expect so. City and Vauxhall finished 20th in their respective divisions with Harrogate coming 21st so they should be the first to be "unreprieved". If the Vics do succeed in their appeal then a key factor would be when it happens. In 1999 Barrow, having been kicked out of the Conference, finally won their battle to get accepted into the Northern Premier League but not until after the season had started so the NPL's Premier Division ran with 23 teams for 1999/2000. A late appeal success for Vics might also see a 23-team Conference North!

This thread has been removed (at least temporarily). Those who have read it will know why.
I suggest that its contents are no longer discussed here until the club has decided how they wish to deal with the matter.

I think that shows that we are stronger with MC in the side. Winning 1 in 9 without him and 1 in 6 with him. But that's only in home games. Overall we've won 23% of the games he's played in and 22% of those where he hasn't played. We've conceded 1.43 goals per game when he's played and and 1.44 when he hasn't. Statistically he doesn't appear to make a difference to results which to me proves only that statistics can't be relied upon as I'd also definitely much rather have him in the side than not.

I would be interested to see any stats of goals conceded and games won and lost with and without Mark Clyde. | P | W | D | L | F | A | W | D | L | F | A | GD | Pts | With MC | 30 | 5 | 2 | 5 | 19 | 14 | 2 | 6 | 10 | 17 | 29 | -7 | 29 | Without MC | 9 | 1 | 2 | 4 | 5 | 11 | 1 | 0 | 1 | 2 | 2 | -6 | 8 |
That's the league record, broken down into home then away games, for when Mark Clyde has and hasn't played. Of the 30 games he played he was on for the full 90 minutes in 25 of them (10 at home & 15 away). The three tables on the Player Statistics page might also help.

Where in Leeds are you? I'm from Leeds and lived there until a few years ago. Burmantofts, opposite Saint James's Hospital. Where were you?

If anyone wants to follow me and Steve's progress, or lack of progress, tomorrow then Kieran will be doing updates, as and when, on the club website. Technology permitting i.e. mobile broadband coverage and my laptop battery life. The second leg of my trip is by train so I'm hoping I'll be able to plug my laptop in to recharge it. By the time Niels, the lazy sod , is setting off I'll already be an hour and a half into my journey.

There is a pub map link here. It needs to be updated. Similar pub maps are available for a number of our opponents' grounds. There will be one for each of them eventually.

If the records are expunged, Newport only need a point to win the league - as if they're not going to anyway Four points to achieve a total which Braintree Town wouldn't be able to surpass.

Really? Why do you persist in claiming knowledge of that of which you are actually ignorant? For everyone's information the average number of votes cast in this season's PotM polls is 156 per month. Yes really, remember I used to run it! So there's no ignorance there at all. Yet you used the present tense to imply that what you stated was still the case now.

and so few people vote for player of the month that you can have 5 or 6 way tie, all with 2 votes!! Really? Why do you persist in claiming knowledge of that of which you are actually ignorant? For everyone's information the average number of votes cast in this season's PotM polls is 156 per month.
