I have it from a reliable source that we will be playing in Conference North next season.

Kieran, if Northwich are successful in the courts this summer and are allowed to stay in Conference North, which team will make way for them - Harrogate?

Kieran, if Northwich are successful in the courts this summer and are allowed to stay in Conference North, which team will make way for them - Harrogate? I expect so. City and Vauxhall finished 20th in their respective divisions with Harrogate coming 21st so they should be the first to be "unreprieved". If the Vics do succeed in their appeal then a key factor would be when it happens. In 1999 Barrow, having been kicked out of the Conference, finally won their battle to get accepted into the Northern Premier League but not until after the season had started so the NPL's Premier Division ran with 23 teams for 1999/2000. A late appeal success for Vics might also see a 23-team Conference North!

The worst kept secret in non-league football is finally out and we're headed North eh? Lots of local(ish) derbies.
But, as it currently stands, we don't get to play Andy Preece's mob do we? They have threatened to go all the way to the European Court for Arbitration in Sport!
(PS I didn't just make that up - there really is such a thing).

The Northwich Victoria situation is going to blow up in the Conferences' face by the looks of it. It appears they amended Appendix E, didn't inform the member clubs and at the AGM packaged it up with other business, got the clubs to vote the package through and then told them about the amendment.

Well!!
Stafford Rangers, Solihull Moors, Redditch United, Nuneaton Borough, Gloucester City, AFC Telford, Hinckley are the nearest local derby's There are also Aflreton and Ilkeston which could loosely be classed as derbys.

Unfortunately the Conference seems to be a very shoddy little league, run by shady characters. Mr Boddy obviously fits into the conference structure very nicely!

Now `Pleased Man`has got the chop from the FA -albeit with a £100K pay-off- there must be a vacancy for our former leader at top table. His unsurpassed knowledge of grass-roots football would be a great asset to the national body!
