It's not negativity, it's a matter of examining a potential buyer's track record. If a couple of twins from East London claimed to be interested in investing in WCFC should we just roll out the red carpet without question?

Why would anyone want to buy WCFC? For the assets? There aren't any. For the cudos? For the glamour? I suspect not. More nonsense could be heading our way.

"I understand all it's finances are kept completely separate from WCFC Ltd" sounds like a very sensible move!

It makes sense the new club being initiated by the Trust, it would give it some gravitas and credibility. However, it's fine for me to suggest such a scheme when I'm unable to contribute much.

"This is now a matter for the shareholders to decide what they want to do." But we shareholders can't have a vote without an AGM and we won't ever get one, and if we did we couldn't win - they just rig it. It's time to stop even thinking about dancing to their tune.

I can't see a way of working with the board on any level, it seems like throwing good time/money after bad to continue to do so. Surely It's better to walk away from these clowns, forget they have anything to do with WCFC, and start again? They're not WCFC.

Yes I understand this Zeke and sympathise. However they are helping to prolong the agony. The sooner we can kick this shower out, the sooner the dream of getting a club back in Worcester can be pursued. Hampson and co don't want a stadium in the city. They don't care about WCFC. Why give them financial support?

Some "supporters" have been attending games this season believing the club could still be promoted. Reality is obviously a problem for them. No doubt they'll still hand their money over to this bunch of dodgy dealers no matter how often they get shafted.

They don't want grants or investment. If they did they wouldn't take this attitude. They just want to be left alone while they empty the vaults.

Agreed. But the board aren't preventing an examination of the company by the Trust because of the ST's community objectives - it will prevent ANYONE from investigating the sale of SGL and the subsequent dispersal of funds. That was why Hampson was parachuted in from out of the blue. His job has been to keep the doors firmly shut to any prying eyes.

I'm baffled as to why some people are still interested in WCFC's results and league position. There's no chance of promotion with Hampson in charge.

Surely they don't meet down the local every Friday to discuss it all The local! I suspect they meet up with Hallmark, Hampson etc. somewhere far more accommodating than that. www.worcestermasoniccentre.co.uk

Are they incompetent though? Or are they just pulling down the blinds until they can sneak away unhindered?
Why would anyone hang around a dead club as long as Hampson and co have? Who's really pulling the strings at WCFC?

"why has it took the board so long to except help and be transparent about the clubs finances ?" They haven't accepted any help yet. They're just thinking about the ST's offer of help. The ST has offered help/co-operation/talks on an open basis for years. There has been no up-take. Will there be this time? It would be good to see some co-operation, but I won't be holding my breath.

I agree Althom, but we've repeatedly tried to interest the local press in the issue but have failed miserably.

Very sad indeed. I've posted this comment following the article:
"As a Worcester City fan, I can only weep at the colossal sums of money washing around the Premiership. However, the story of our club's demise is rooted in strange land deals; non-disclosure of accounts, and refusals to hold AGMs. If ever your paper decides to investigate the mis-management of football clubs, WCFC would be an ideal place to start."
Perhaps if the local press is unable to delve into the goings on in Hampsonville, they might.

They say they don't have the staff numbers to investigate real issues like the sale of SGL and financial losses at WCFC, and yet someone has the spare time to simply invent fiction. Strange.

I envisage Hampson will reach out to the likes of the Trust etc. But I can't see this as being anything more than a gesture, a delaying tactic to hide behind while the funds and records are salted away.

All too true.
Has anyone ever discovered why Hampson became chairman? He had no interest in WCFC; didn't like football, and had no successful business history. I assume Hallmark just parachuted him in? If so is he still in control?

Perhaps now those still fretting over whether we will make the promotion places will realise that they have been duped. It was never going to happen under Hampson. He's laughing at you. You're simply funding the shambles.
