Well done to all involved. I'm a little surprised there wasn't more opposition from the old guard with their block votes. I presume they've already rinsed all they can from the club so there's no need for them to be involved any more.

What’s wrong with uncovering any skeletons in the cupboard? Where did the money go? Did anything illegal take place? If so then criminal proceedings should follow.
Why should anyone get away with possible corrupt actions?

All good, but are there plans to try and restructure the shares issue to regain full control?

Why has he changed his tune? Why now? Is there a cunning plan afoot? Or is he really a total knob?

"I would not turn my back on the club”. Please do Mr Hampson. We don't want you anywhere near it.

I’ve just finished having root canal work done on my teeth. It was a far more preferable experience than hearing what Hampson has to say.

"Some things are more valuable than money." If only the rest of the world saw that Tim, it would be a better place.
Again I'd like to thank all those working for this. It takes real guts to get up off the canvas when you keep getting knocked down. Mere mortals like me just roll over and whinge. The likes of Jem; Rich; Bingo etc etc are true heroes.

Talking of Hampson, is it a coincidence that this step forward has occurred just weeks after he sods off?

In that case a fair few could be handed out to “deserving contributors” which could shift the balance of power if not raise funds.

I have a small number of shares - can’t even remember how many - but I didn’t buy them. I don’t recall exactly what happened but I was given them “in lieu” for doing something for the club (maybe some graphics?). I’m not sure this was even legal (it was in Boddy’s time!), but my point is that would it be possible to allocate shares to others for services rendered?

It’s good to see that there’s a forum this weekend. At last! Sadly I can’t make it. Hopefully some obvious questions will be asked like:
Do the board now have access to the accounts? If so is anything left? As a result of seeing the true financial situation are the board more, or less, optimistic about the club returning to Worcester?
Have you uncovered any evidence of malpractice that could send Hampson and co to jail? (Sadly I suspect not.)

I'm probably being thick, but if £120k were raised to buy shares would that money be in the newly CBS run club's coffers and thus available to the new board? Or would Hallmark, Boddy and Hampson get another luxury cruise?

Which is exactly why I raised the topic in the first place. In terms of who controls the club, nothing has changed.

A great week for WCFC. I worry though about who controls the club through share ownership. I assume it’s still the same bunch that got us into the sh!t to start with. If so they could scupper any routes forward and block any plans the new board has. Surely now is the time to clarify share ownership and truly take back control of the club? If not any future AGMs could be a farce. At present the old guard could technically still control the future.
How can this be prevented?
I wore a City shirt in public for the first time in years today.

But Tim, what are thieve “things” that are needed to be kept secret in negotiations? We are not talking about major financial deals in an international marketplace. This is a local impoverished football club that’s on its knees. Hampson didn’t disclose anything because he was in negotiations - he didn’t open talks with anyone. He did zero fund raising during his chairmanship. He imposed secrecy to protect his and his fellow collaborators actions.
What is needed now is openness and honesty in order to re-engage with the community and win over the Trust of the fans who, like me, have given up on WCFC. There’s no hope for the club if supporters, shareholders and potential investors aren’t treated with open honesty and inclusivity.

"A salutary lesson for all here, communicate,...." I'm sure even Hampson knew this - but that wasn't his brief. It was simply to delay and hide the evidence.

Steve Goode and Dave Wood are top men. Personal heroes of mine. I hope they realise what they've taken on - I'm sure they do, but the depth of the problems will only become evident as the corners of this shabby era are swept clean. I also worry about the effect this has had on so many hard working supporters, especially the likes of Rob Crean who's efforts have been derided, abused and ignored by so many.
Hampson and co leaving has been likened to "rats deserting a sinking ship". I don't think this is a good analogy. This has been the plan all along. Sell the ground underpriced; sift away the cash; delay any alternative schemes in order to stay in power and cover their tracks - then when all the money has been squirrelled away beach the vessel and sneak off into the sunset.
Well done to them. It worked. I hope they enjoy their ill gained wealth. I doubt if the likes of Boddy, Hallmark, Lancaster, Hampson etc have even a modicum of shame. They should have.
Now things get interesting - but it's going to be a hell of a slog to move the club forward. I've read calls for unity between the club and the Trust - hopefully we now have a board that will listen to supporters; shareholders and the trust. We haven't had that for a long time. The board have blamed everyone else for the divide - but they were the ones that created and maintained it.
Good riddance to Hampson & co they were a disgrace.

The board knew this would fail. They just needed a diversion to prevent Perdiswell succeeding. The club was dead 4 years ago.The only way to get football back to Worcester is to start with a new club and forget shambolic bunch.

It sounds like they're proposing a programme pogrom. Perhaps someone will make a love story based around it? That would be a programme pogrom rom-com.

You'd need a programme programme. Then someone could make a documentary about it and that would be "The programme, programme, programme". It's a winner. I hope Hampson takes this up.

We fans have been guilty of not asking enough questions - rather than asking too many. Why was an outsider like Hallmark running the (his) Nunnery Way project? Why was SGL sold for £3+ million when another developer had offered £10+ million? Why was Hampson parachuted in? Where the hell did he come from? And who nominated him?
Any decent decision should withstand scrutiny. Just accepting a situation because there's no apparent alternative is not a recipe for progress.
