The public are only interested in success. A few hardcore City fans will cling to tradition, but the club canât compete with the infrastructure, facilities and funding at Sixways. When the choice comes between a windswept field and a fully equipped stadium what supporter and, just as crucially, player would choose the former?
Another sad development.

Had my first ever beer in the Perdiswell then used to frequent the Raven. Spent many hours at SGL, am I cursed đ˘. I lived half way between the Mug and The New Inn, the latter always had a better atmosphere. Happy days.

Wally and his wife ran the Mug House for decades. Probably one of the most miserable landlords I ever knew - and Iâve known hundreds. Great pub though.

Why does he say âto be honestâ so often? And why does he take that attitude now rather than a decade ago? Feet up watching daytime television eh Boddy? What a life.

It's not a mater of being "negative", more like simply pointing out possible problems ahead of time so they can be addressed. I remember being called negative when myself and others pointed out what a shambles the deal to sell SGL was. Instead of questioning Boddy etc many supporters allowed the ship to steam on into the iceberg.

This is all very depressing. While a return to Worcester is welcome, a move to Claines Lane can only be on a very short term basis. It would work if a move to Perdiswell or Sixways was still possible, but as things stand a longer residence wonât work financially. I hope Iâm wrong, but I fear the relocation will merely allow the club to die on home soil.

I had a terrible dream the other night. WCFC moved into Sixways and started to rise through the leagues again. All good so far. Then the board announced the appointment of a new director âwith a wealth of football expertiseâ. Enter Mr D Boddy!
Aaaaaaaaaaargh!
I must eat less cheese last thing at night.

In buying WCFC they get a history and far better marketing potential. Locals will relate more readily with us rather than the relatively new Raiders. I for one wouldnât bother going to watch them, whereas a resurgent WCFC is a different matter. Mind you in a short while Raiders may well be the top team in the city, so all the more reason to get this deal done.

Iâm out of the loop these days but Iâm confused as to the situation re Warriors. Just a few days ago they rejected WCFCâs advances. Has something changed? Are we chasing them? What advantage does the rugby club see in absorbing us? How good is the ownersâ business history?
As far as Claines Lane goes itâs not suitable. Too small to develop as anything other than a training ground. The land behind the Raven would be ideal but would cost a fortune.
Is Perdiswell definitely dead? If so it appears Sixways is the only option. Itâs just a shame we will have to abandon our hard won independence and sail into unchartered waters. But if we donât weâll sink anyway.

Not exactly that âunrelated â.
There are two issues here. Firstly P.G. Is a scum bag. Secondly the Supportersâ Club should come under the auspices of WCFC.

The Supporters' Club seems to be independent of WCFC. Surely it should be taken under the club's wing? If I recall this isn't the first case Mr Gardner has had to answer to.

I fear the demise of Bury and the plight of Bolton may just be the tip of the iceberg. How long before having their own football club is just a distant memory for many towns? This would be a disaster for our social fabric and for the game itself because there will be no grassroots to develop U.K. talent.
And surely love for the game itself will whither? Who wants to pay ridiculous money to watch premiership games in which a bunch of players are earning more per week than lower league clubs need to survive for an entire season? Itâs time the big clubs and leagues woke up and realised the whole house is on fire.

If this sort of idea is ok then the club's logo could follow suit. Just changed to WCFC obviously. The flags top and bottom may be necessary to clarify club from trust.
Of course I would have liked to have added a few yellow stars in the blue circle. But...........

âThe insane level of insults I've had thrown at me over the last 15 yearsâ and that was just from me!
While you were taking the flack the bastards were emptying the vaults. Itâs difficult to accept what they did, but I suppose we have to move on.
Hats off to all the troublemakers who have steered the club through a turbulent time. Itâs not secure yet but if the ship sinks now at least itâs in the hands of real supporters- not those of some parachuted in, hockey loving no nothing only interested in lining his and his matesâ pockets.
Well done all involved.

Sad news that Graham Newton has passed away. He was Nobbyâs right hand man during our glory days in the seventies, and a hell of a player as well. Did those times really happen or did I just dream them?
What the hell went wrong?
