So, the top two, Bromsgrove Sporting and Coleshill Town, meet tonight. I predict that one of these two sides will be this season's MFL champions. Anybody here holding onto the thought that the outcome from this game could boost our chances of overtaking either of them? Or is it all irrelevant now?

It certainly is a big game. My work colleague finished early so he could get there from Oxfordshire. He is a native of Bromsgrove. To be honest Julian I think it has been irrelevant all season but that's just my opinion.

To quote John Cleese: "It's not the despair, Laura. I can take the despair. It's the hope I can't stand."

Currently 2-0 to Coleshill with 20 to go and Rovers/Sporting down to ten men.

3-0 Coleshill with 5 to go. Best result for us probably, not that it matters much.

Tonight's results include Bromsgrove 6 Loughborough 0 and Highgate 2 Coleshill 0. Highgate now level on points with us but have a game in hand. We could be looking at a 4th place finish now.

We have to play Highgate again & our goal difference is much better (us 42, Highgate 24).
Highgate beating Coleshill has also opened up 2nd spot. If we win our games in hand, we go (maximum) 4 points behind Coleshill, with them still having to play Bromsgrove again. 5 out of their last 8 games are also away, but they do seem to have an easier run in; still to play Rocester (bottom) twice & Shawbury (second bottom).

I'm baffled as to why some people are still interested in WCFC's results and league position. There's no chance of promotion with Hampson in charge.
