Surely if it will become the norm for 2 to go up from this level, a playoff for second place would be better?

I might be wrong, but I thought that Warriors purchased/were gifted Sixways Stadium a couple of years back off Worcester Rugby Club - but the training pitches/surrounds are still owned by WRC. I've not done that much looking into it so could be completely wrong.

Where we end up after 42 games is where we deserve to be, not just after results against the teams above us. All City can do now is win their games and hope others slip up. Lets wait and see where we end the season.

In case anyone doesn't know, the Westfields match which was called off on Monday, is being played Thursday at 7.45pm - Victoria Ground.
Personally annoyed by the rescheduling as it will be the first and only game I miss this season, but not a lot could be done!
Still a chance to beat Coleshill to second place which should see us gain promotion - they're 7 point ahead but we have 2 games in hand... albeit we still have to play Bromsgrove (A) and Highgate (H), so the matches are still carrying importance from that perspective.

Good because we have to play Monday too (if it's on), but bad because just moves the fixture congestion further down the season, and it's a fair old journey for what will probably be a Thursday. There are still teams in the league that have more games to play, but it's getting tough. 9 games to play in 27 days I believe it is for City.
Stourport have 14 games to play in April!

Am I right in saying that there has been no formal statement from the club to explain what is happening currently and why? Could you clarify on which bit? There's been quite a lot going on! As regards to players leaving, you'd have to ask them their reasons... however each has either gone up the leagues, or has left to further their career (Thomas). Regarding anything else, let us know what you'd like a statement about (to do with transfer speculation etc) and I'll ask the question!

Just having a listen now! I listen to a fair few fan run podcasts for various clubs, and so far you certainly don't sound unprofessional!

Here’s a question: If The Board do wind up the company in time to reimburse the share holders, how many of us would ‘take the money & run’ & how many of us would donate our money to The Trust to pursue the new set up ? You're assuming the Trust would pursue a new set up. I don't believe the Trust have ever said they'll set up a new club... It'd be down to the membership of the Trust to ask for that.

The reason I question if it's the best outcome at the end of the season is because nobody really knows! Travel costs would go up, playing budget might change, attendances might change, position in respective league might change, competitions able to enter will change.
It's very easy to say "yes promotion would be good"... If it happens, I'll enjoy the moment as a fan, and I do believe that the team on the pitch should be trying their best to win all the games they can from now until the end of the season.

A good City following at the match, as there often has this season. I'd guess at about 70 City fans, possibly more.
Like you said JuPu, I think it's more just that people prefer using other forums than this one. Despite the drop in levels, the Club Twitter impression rate is on par with, or possibly slightly above what it was last season, despite a drop in avg number of tweets we're sending out. City are undoubtedly the most talked about club on the unofficial MFL forum on Facebook too.
As for the match, not the most enjoyable to watch, but a good battle in midfield, with Birley shining for me - last couple of games he's been involved in he's looked more than up for the title chase. Reynolds worked tirelessly until the last minute up front, along with Baldwin when he came on. Didn't see Halil's off the ball clash, but what I've been told since, would suggest it was justifiably a red card.
Next up is Long Eaton (H), who on Saturday beat Sporting Khalsa 1-2.

3-4 good results then a setback. Seems the story of our season. Still not over, but a damn sight harder I'd say. Only takes Sporting to lose at the weekend and us win and suddenly it looks doable again. Fair few games still to play.
As for the sending off... he was booked a few minutes before for a foul I didn't see (was typing), then heanor had a goal kick, keeper seemed to think about it, decided he needed treatment, Smith jogged over and said to the Ref to be aware of time wasting... and was shown a yellow. Took another 4 minutes after Smith was dismissed for play to continue due to the treatment.
Dare I say, as soon as Smith was sent off, Reynolds should have been subbed for Thomas and settle for a point?

No idea, we were all baffled in the press box. I don't think I heard anyone ask Snapper post match what it was for, however. Couldn't hear what ref said to Snapper whilst waiting for Lee to return.

I didn't know about the max level of investment for CBS either! Something I spotted today that relates to BPA was a breakdown of average crowds in the NLN compared to population of the area they serve. It's not a perfect table by any means, but BPA are rock bottom with just 0.1% of Bradford watching them. Is this an example of attendances not growing/being strong for CBS model despite fans being members/owners, who are in theory more invested in the club? table

As I said before - I often cannot be bothered going through my phone to find a picture of a team sheet, to say "opposition 5 Joe Bloggs is coming off" rather than just "opposition 5 is coming off". Like I said, I'll take it on board and try to use names more often.
TeeJ... I get moaned at by some for "giving it the beans" when we score. Can never please everyone!!

Thanks to those who have shown gratitude for the updates. That does mean a lot!
I'll certainly take it on board about mentioning opposition player names... don't expect it each game, but I'll certainly try to get them in the tweets more. Don't expect any in depth notes on them, however.

Many clubs at this level don't have a press box, some don't have a press officer. I've met part of the media team from just 4 clubs so far this season. Bromsgrove, Coventry United, Daventry and Shawbury. The Cov United guy Liam gives live commentary and films on Youtube as well as doing their prematch PA (brilliant job he does), so he was pretty busy. Dai at Shawbury is also their football secretary along with everything else - he was pretty busy, Daventry also did their PA and I believe was their football secretary, and Bromsgrove seem to spread the load across several people... but didn't actually have anyone in the press box on Boxing Day. I've not had a single opposition press/media person sit in the press box this season. Home or away.
Last season was much much easier. Croc is right, it's tight knit, and you can share info about each teams players quite easily... not so much so when there's nobody else to swap notes with. On Tuesday the issue was that I didn't want to watch the game from the bar... did us well actually, as City's first goal was given to Birch by Wulfrunians on the PA system, Andy thought it was Reynolds who tapped it in, but I was about 2 yards away and confirmed it was an own goal!
To Cloud, thank you. Max is the man in the PA box, and I think you're right - he does well at it. His choice in music is varied, non offensive and you can hear him clearly, despite a rather awful system at the VG. It's much nicer than some PA announcers who pierce your ears each time they speak. I'll be sure to pass on your praise to him!
I would love it if it were as easy as you portray Croc. But it's not. I remember running across the Victoria Ground to get a teamsheet. Mostly because I have to do it every other week. That as well as organise a shirt signing, photo op, facilitate an interview someone was doing for their degree, get a programme signed, get expenses paid for, and then have to shoot off to go to my actual job for 7pm... that was my last home game. If I just had to do Twitter updates, I'm sure they would be of a much higher quality... but as it stands, I currently do have other things to do than just sit in the press box comparing notes for an hour plus pre match. But yes. Piss poor planning and all that, right?
Tell you what - to allow me to focus on other things during the match:
If anyone else would like to do the match updates home and away free of charge, please let me know. You need to bring your own laptop, make sure it's got enough power in it to last, as almost no ground other than the VG has a power supply for you to use. Use your own mobile data, I recommend at least 3gb a month - 4gb to be safe. Make your own way to and from games. Make sure you spend time in the week researching players from step 9 of the pyramid that have no presence as a footballer online, and never make a mistake, or you'll never hear the end of it.
Any takers, come see me at a game.

I trialled using goalshouter as an alternative at Lye Town away. It posts direct to Twitter, or you can follow it through their own website r app. It enables me to point directly where a shot was, a set piece taken from and by who, is easy to note subs, cards etc, as well as giving usual comments on the game... sadly the majority voted against goalshouter, in favour of Twitter. I preferred goalshouter but not going to use it if most want standard Twitter updates!
Andy stayed in the bar to watch the game, I enjoy watching a match from the attacking end, so took yesterday as a rare opportunity to do just that.

As for when a sub occurs and you'd like to know if they're an attacking player or a defensive player... unless I've heard of them before now, I've no idea, so no point me guessing.
"Replacing number 5, Tom Ray for Wulfrunians, is 16 Jumaane Meggoe. I think he plays on the left. Or the right. Maybe he's a forward. Or a defender. He might play centre mid. It'll be one of those, I'm sure."

Yes certainly amusing for someone who can have an argument between his own pseudonyms, to want someone to know everyone's name! Isn't that right Jem/Avante/Brooksider/Henry/Boris/Who/Nathan Jessup!? I've no doubt missed some off there.
More often than not at away games I don't get a team sheet, be that they home team haven't got any, or I've arrived after they've been handed out. At one game this season it was written on a whiteboard and we were just expected to know that it was there, many times I've had to find Kev to see his hand written copies because none are available at all. We often didn't get team sheets in the National League North. At the VG I often end up having to give mine away. Last night I didn't have a team sheet... Andy from WN got a team sheet - but I didn't. I took a quick picture on my phone to post online... didn't much fancy having to go back through my phone photo album to check it each time something happened.
As for bias... I'm a City fan, of course I'm going to be a bit biased at times... same as the opposition teams perspectives are no doubt biased.

Very much so foot off the accelerator second half. The reason my updates went quiet was because City went from the first half keeping Wulfrunians largely pinned in their own third, to hardly creating a chance in the second half.
Only two players that in my opinion left the match having worked hard throughout were Birch and Forsyth. Sure, injuries did play a factor, but you have to expect more from some players who either sat back at 2-0 and 2-1, especially with the experience many of them have.
Saturday is vital now... win that and we are still in with a chance. I think if we lose, it's game over for the title.
