Does anyone know if there is going to be any changes to the ground before next season? What would you like to see changed "zeke" ? If the funds are there, a covered "End", like at Bromsgrove would be great. Covered end would definitely be nice. Wider hard standing around pitch, especially club house end because it's quite dangerous for those with less ability to clamber up slope to get past.

Maybe make it an official board? Connected to the website

Now that we've become Community owned, got our "own ground" and the first proper season has been successful, does anyone think this forum has a chance to get to it's glory days, where it was first port of call for many? Or do we just rely on Facebook and Twitter now?

Could they be in our League if they win?

We're gettin to the point in the season, where there is nothing to play for and a few more performances like that will see the attendances drop. Which is a shame because we should be proud of these attendance figures

Despite the crappy weather, it was another good sized crowd. So that's a positive.

I'm assuming 24 hours later, it's still not playable? The women are playing on the plastic pitch.

The good news about having less fixtures, is that hopefully the inevitable postponements won't have too much of an effect on us and should be no fixture pile up at the end of the season.

With the Evesham game postponed and more rain tomorrow, anyone know if the ground is dry enough yet to be able to take anymore rain?. Or is tomorrow's game in doubt?

Is anyone else concerned how easily waterlogged this pitch has got? Looks like there could be many postponed games in the coming months. I understand we've had a bit of rain, but with the high winds and Perdiswell pitches perfectly playable, I'm hoping something can be done.

Att. over 700 and 6 goals. Can't complain. Could have been 6 before half time and Bewdley were very poor. But City worked well together again and the rest of the season looks promising.

The rain stopped me going. 2 hours of it with no cover was enough to keep me away. What was the attendance?

Lost 3-0. A truly dreadful performance. Out battled, out ran, out muscled, and out thought by an ordinary Lye outfit we made look good. Little energy, no pace in the side at all, a midfield that can't run with the ball nor run past the strikers - they just pass sideways in a laborious build up. A pace less defence that sits too deep, and a shot shy attack. A team totally bereft of ideas. I've seen some dross in my time, but this will take some beating. The attendance was 530. Much more of this garbage, it will be nearer 53. I didn't think it was that good

I see the Raiders had a game cancelled due to someone nicking the power cables.

Seems to be conflicting reports that they either lost 2-1 or the games was abandoned on 87 minutes due to player and spectator trouble.

TROUBLE AT ATHERSTONELooks like we've become a magnet for abuse? While most of then accusations are serious and really need to punished accordingly, I feel a lifetime ban for the boxer short guy is a bit much. Seems he has no previous? The racism and homophobia incidents as well the projectiles, need to be severely dealt with. Without making excuses, it seems Cup games bring out the non-fans looking for trouble. But there is no excuse for what the eye witnesses are saying about the stewards lack of control or willingness to intervene in certain situations.

If Heather had someone who can shoot straight, this would have been a much easier win for them. Although we had a few chances, we can't argue with the result. Although the (non) backpass, seemed pretty straightforward that it was a backpass? Left at the whistle so didn't see the "celebrations" of Heather.

I don't think we should take anything for granted regarding people going to Claines Lane. It's not a case of simply build it and they will come. Complaisansy will kill us. It will be seven years since we last had a home ground in Worcester. Since then we've lost hundreds of fans. We can all name people who we no longer see. They now do other things with their time. Will they come back to watch City play MFL games at Claines? Probably not. They definitely won't come back if the games are pointless if there is no chance of a promotion. Of the remaining fanbase that attend matches- they currently do so in a nice ground at the Vic. Claines Lane is going to be very different. We need to give people a reason to go to games, just being in Worcester will not be enough to get people to come. I think the Board said, at the meeting in December, that the new ground would enable promotion. I hope this will be the case. If not, its going to be a struggle to get those lapsed folk to go down a new Lane. We'd also even probably see current fans lose interest. And as for attracting new fans, when I've spoken to people, they didn't even know we existed. Just to add. Whether the younger fanbase will come back is not known yet. I hope they do. But at The Vic, with less than 300 fans, probably 200 are seated. As we have an older fanbase, this is a necessity to most of them. With only 100 seats at Claines, how many will "forced" to decide it's a no go for them?

Thanks for the info Verner. It does seem a bit premature making a decision to play at a ground that hasn't really got a full working plan to make sure it's ready?
