What that about Hayward? Left the club or not yet had a meeting?

Sad to see him go but inevitable. Shawbury was a big turning point in his season after a fine start, and we scarcely saw anything more than cameo appearances thereafter.

Danksy did also make a great appearance on the club Twitter for Sporting Khalsa away... although his spelling was even worse than mine!!
Great guy, a favourite of mine from his first stint at City and would love to see him back at the club in some capacity in the future.

Snapper is making swift progress in assembling a squad for next season and has also succeeded in retaining most of his best players. All credit to him if he's managed this on a reduced budget.
Geddes and Khan both have to work on their fitness so that's tentative good news at this stage but it does suggest that many players hold a strong degree of respect for Snapper and want to play for him.

No surprise, its only June. Players are at liberty to take out options, but if a better offer comes along, they are at liberty to take them up. That's how it happens in amateur football. Remember when we were a semi-pro team in the Conference, and we played A N Other or Trialist in pre-season friendlies? Well some of our players will be trialling at higher level clubs as A N Other during July.

Of course when we were in the Conference North majority of players were put on contract, which stopped people stealing them or them simply buggering off, but then contracts helped get this Club into the shi* its in now

No-one is indispensable in a pub league.

I have not been to watch City yet this season but given the two defeats in our first two league games and the exit of the FA Cup at the first hurdle, does anyone think the squad or the management team are just not up to much? Alternatively, have we just begun the season by playing teams expected to be at or around the top of the league at the end of the season?

Way way way to early to say at the moment. And remember, we're in the pub league now, players come and go with no contracts, and we are just another team in the Midland pub league this season, so expect a fair bit of player movement.....and lets see where we are after 10 games.

I miss the good times. I just don’t want to watch City in their current incarnation. I remember how much anger and vitriol there was amongst supporters this time last season. I didn’t think it could get any worse than that, but I was wrong. As much negativity as there was a year ago, this is far, far worse. There was still some passion and fire left last year, now I’ll just feels bleak and hopeless. It’s a pretty s*** realisation tbh.

I think you are mistaken , there is more optimism this season now that we have a Chairman that cares about WCFC, most supporters are in a happy place at the moment ,with some returning after staying away last season. If you follow the City then you will Know that all player sponsorship has been sold ,volunteers are starting to return , lets say this is the start of a new beginning now that Mr H has left the building

Take it from me, sponsorship has gone hectic since the change on the board, but we always need more.
Why dont you help us get the Club back to where it was, its going to take hard work but we will get there !
