Definitely in a better place than this time last year. The playing front may not be but that is a secondary issue to getting the club sorted.No-one really knows if Steve can sort it or not,he probably doesn't know himself, but he will give it a damn good go I'm sure.I hope to get to a few games this year.(Have done Boldmere already). One of the problems though is that, during periods of absence, people find other things to do or,as I my case and a couple of others I believe, second clubs become first clubs. There is a long road ahead but at least there is a road!!

The 4 games we've had so far this season have had more optimism around the place than last season had combined. Alright, we're probably not going to smash teams 8-0 like last season, the squad is arguably not as strong as it was, especially after Hayward and Bunn left after initially agreeing. Are results on the pitch all we care about though? For me, the priorities are sort the finances, sort a ground in Worcester, sort out rebuilding links with the community, THEN the results on the pitch. Of course, I'd love a win today, and I'll be probably be grumpy for the rest of the day if we don't, but there's an optimistic boost going through City right now. Like Kev has said, sponsorships have been mega, so have comments and interaction online.
Lets turn out in numbers, which will help the club survive, and cheer on the City boys, which will hopefully help them to 3 points.

All fair points Jack. On the pitch I think results this season are secondary to sorting things out off the field, if things can indeed be sorted. A run in the Vase might be a more realistic ambition than league success.

On the pitch I think results this season are secondary to sorting things out off the field. Not just this season, they have been for a while. This season is already a success following disposing of Hampson as far as I’m concerned.

Im sorry to say that is the case with me. When I first stopped going to home games I missed it but after a while I found other things to do. I fully intend to start attending games again but for the next couple of weeks, work is going to prevent that happening.

When you don't go to games, you don't spend 4 hours every Saturday doing nothing because you don't go to games. And when you move 100 miles away, it makes it even harder. I will be going again now though, when I don't have my other commitments.

If I were Reyno I'd go for it. He won't get another chance to play two levels higher at his age. He'll be back by the end of the season anyway!

He's gone. Massive loss.
...so Jordan Harrison is on a contact, but Reyno wasn't, so can just go to another club for £0, yeah?

cloud - we signed him from Malvern for £0 as well !!! Reyno has done well for us, and wishes to test himself higher up. At 29, he might not get another go, so good luck to him. He's still on a dual registration, so might be back anyway if it doesn't work out.
Anyway with Turton nearing fitness, there's cover, plus hopefully it gives Joe Bates a chance alongside Harrison. Bates is a good finisher given the chances, so maybe it's an opportunity for him.

Very sorry to read that; in the games when he's been missing we haven't looked the same up front. Still, wish him the best of luck.
However, as the old saying goes "Cometh the hour, cometh the man", and as mentioned above it could mean an opportunity for someone else.

I agree with the comments about this giving Bates, Turton, Evans a chance. Harrison too for that matter, he can look to establish himself as the main man. There's a lot of love out there for Reynolds but - as with everyone at this level - they should be given the opportunity to progress.

City have today bolstered their ranks with the signing of former Wolves and Wrexham striker, Bradley Reid.

City have further bolstered the ranks with another former Wolves player. Right sided player, Josh Hesson has joined the Club following his release from Wolves where he had been since the age of 7, where he played with Adam Osbourne. A move to Sunderland fell through during the summer and Josh found himself a free agent. After making contact with the Club following our signature of Ozzy, John Snape has moved to bring in another option down the right hand side. Josh can play either as a Right Back, Right Wing Back or further up the pitch. Josh has bags of pace and energy to bring to the team.

Another day, another player signed on dual registration from Stourbridge; From the main City site, on the Jamal Lawrence joins City story; "With this signing and with many comments between City supporters we must clarify the below, which has been noted in a number of interviews with the management team.
Cam Walker, James Timmins and Brad Reid were all signed by the Club on dual registration purposes from Stourbridge. Stourbridge remain the parent Club and therefore have first choice on these players. In the case of Brad he is taking a break from the game."Will we ever see any of them have a run in the team?

Did you read the piece on Attoumani signing ? (1) James Timmins registration has been moved to another MFL Club. (2) Attoumani may well be technically dual registration with Stourbridge but 7 days were served to them as well as Wolves Sporting (3) Craig Reid obviously wont be playing as taking a break from the game Should be noted that Attoumani hasnt made an appearance for Stourbridge this season only for Wulfs and Wolves

We have had one or two signings splashed across the back page of the Worcester News, of whom nothing has been heard since. What happened to Cameron Walker (think that was his name)? What happened to Pierce Kiembi?

What happened to Pierce Kiembi? Walker - explained a thousand times in press, on web and above, dual registered with Stour, they have priority Pierce picked up an injury in the training session just after the Long Eaton game. Hasn't had a massive amount of minutes this year so is building up time in reserves

Now there's a player I shall be sorry to see go: I've thought for some time we'd be lucky to retain him and George Forsyth at the end of the season. Well, we didn't even get to the end of the season!

Must admit I'm a little surprised Jordan Stoddart has gone to Redditch. He'll be spending a lot of time on the bench...

Players come and go at this level. We've not much to offer to retain them I'm afraid. Stoddart is capable of playing at a higher level, although he needs quick full backs to prevent him getting dragged out wide. He always tried his best for us, and I wish him well.
As we're going nowhere in the League this season, and will finish mid table, and as I suspect that Stoddart was one of our more highly paid players, I think that we should not replace him, and not spend the money, and save it to reduce this year's loss.

If any of our players had expectations that they would be playing in a side challenging for promotion this season, the penny has probably dropped that it isn't going to happen. Anyone wishing to play at a higher level will have to seek that elsewhere.
