To all of you taking part in BM5 tonight - enjoy! It's an unforgetable experience and a great credit to the club. A Rich Widd triumph.

had my healthy lunch before the game:
Egg,mayo and lettuce baguette from foregate patisserie followed by bacon and egg smothered in tomato sauce from tilleys, and a bottle of water.
I have had a cold over the last few days meaning that my asthma is bad at the moment, crap timing, I am still going to play tonight though. Fucks me off I aint had a cold all year meaning my asthma has been fine until now, when the dream will become reality.

Yes - enjoy! I remember having to fly back from Rotterdam for BM1, getting very twitchy on the plane due to delays at both airports, stuck on the apron at B'ham trying to figure out the latest I could leave the airport to be there on time. got stuck on the M42 and missed the pre-match briefing!! But it was all well worth it. Tonight I'll be flying back down from Aberdeen, without any concerns about being late, my BM is done, but I'll be thinking of all the first timers. Mazey, play, you'll regret it if you don't, and if you come off after 5 minutes, don't worry, you'll be back on after 10 as others without asthma begin to think they are actually without lungs!!!

Never has "rolling" substitutions been a more apt description than at Big Match!

Well I'm about to have the high carb pre-match lunch. Spent an hour in the gym this morning getting nice and loose, really looking forward to it now. Knee's a bit dodgy, but that's been the case for 20 years now, nothing new!

' 30yard volley into the top corner. I'd have given him offside.
