A date with Darrell. Prize includes a visit to an obscure football match, attendance doubled by your visit, and a Gordon Blue meal meal at the local burger van. Back to his for coffee, optional. Is that like a Gordon Ramsay meal only different?

I was listening to Jeremy Clarkson and Ian Hislop on Radio 5 live. Neither gentleman gets on with a certain Piers Morgan and Clarkson actually t**tted the bloke once he admitted (nice one. ed)
Anyway Mr Morang is obviously not the most popular of fellows and Steven Fry came up witha beauty which I thought I should share - it may have been on an airing of QI but who cares..
When asked what the dictionanry definition of "countryside" was the estimable Mr Fry responded "Murdering Piers Morgan"

Time to Kill. You have forgotten about the Vigin Tavern on Rainbow Hill. So there is a least one. Used to go to a pub called The Virgins Rest. Was also known as the Halfway Inn... ;D ;D ;D

It must be an easy revenue raiser? Tax chewing gum say 100% on existing prices and you will cut addiction and reduce the amount of cash our local authorities have to spend cleaning it off our badly disfigured pavement reducing our council tax bills and giving us more money to spend on chewing gum..
Its the route to fabulous wealth

I probably couldn't abide a Peter Crouch kind of girlfriend either!!! Who'd want to go out with a girl looking like Plug from the Bash Street Kids? Who wants to go out with her. I think we would rather stay in... www.abigailclancy.com/

It all seems almost unbelievable these days that we could have fought against the Germans and in such a way in 1914-1918. It was a pretty pointlesss affair and achieved nothing except paving the way for another global conflict 20 or so years later.

Is that the same as the living or are you referring to inhabitants of obscure parts Grantham and it's like? No I'm referring to the many who return from war situations, and are just forgotten about by the country they served without question. Those who have been unable to function as human beings after returning shell-shocked and traumatised and broken. Many homeless, penniless, schizophrenic, damaged for life and wishing that they too were being remembered. The battles and the bombs may not have killed them, but many have managed death by themselves. I heard some stories on the radio last week from the non-dead, and when they said they wish they'd died, you believed them. They gave their lives for their country, but their country didn't take them! Certainly not people to be mocked cheaply. We are all supposed to be mind readers I suppose? Aren't these exactly the people that the funds raised by the Poppy Appeal (and other ex servicemens charities) help support. It is a shame that it has to be charity that does this vital work.

I was at an equally moving service in Malvern on Sunday. The tolling of the bell for 11 o clock signalled the end of the silence and the sounding of reveille on the trumpet restarted hope.
We will remember them and what they died for.

Nice to see Ledbury is in the lead. I defy anyone not to love Ledbury's charm. It has lovely shops, lots of pubs and a friendly atmosphere. and the pubs harbour an unusually high number of racist bigots.. but then nowhere is perfect. If ever a town deserved to be in Worcs!

Interesting choice. Didnt he play for the City as well or was that Henry? I think MH doesnt really get my vote as a player.
Perhaps we should select our eleven legends for the county?

Ray Price is as legendary as Paul Pridgeon which isnt much. How about Ian Botham? He and Hick were sublime in one day games in the late 80's. How about Imran Khan? Nawab of Pataudi? Glenn Turner definitely Pridge played for Stourbridge. Did he ever play for City? (I have a feekling he did once?) Imran is NOT reapeat NOT repeat NOT repeat NOT and NEVER will be a Worcs legend NOT NEVER EVER !! He is the man who broke hi scontract to leave for Sussex because Worcester did not have an exotic enough night life for him. Hi shalf season with the county was not exactly filled with memorable performances either. NoP - record for the County was?
