Not the best performance but we got the points so its ok.
Hope shabba is ok his arm looked awful yet the ref still played on when he was clearly in a lot of pain.

One of those play badly but still grind out a win games which play-off contenders have. Need to step it up massively for Telford. I dare not ask what the corner count was, must have been something like 3-12. Belford made one good save and the defence held firm.

An arm injury is no reason to stop a game - sounds like good refereeing for once !! and stretchered off??? What is it with footballers? break your arm and you lose the use of your legs?? A good 3 points yet again, hope they can keep this up.

A good win, yes! And a clean sheet at that. But how the City rode their luck. For the first 13 minutes penned into their own half then a free kick taken by Price produced a corner and Smith headed the winnner. We never looked like scoring after that.
But the Reds should be renamed Skittles, because the went down like 9 pins when tackled.

Having a grumpy Christmas Brooky? Not at all, it just amazes me that footballers need to be stretchered off with a broken arm. Gone are the days when Mick Jones still managed to climb the Wembley steps with a dislocated shoulder. Even someone with a low pain threshold like me managed to play half a rugby game with a broken arm (okay it wasn't compound or full break, but it bloody hurt) and walked off with a broken collar bone (full break). You can't blame rugby players for refering to it as the "Andrex" Premiership !!

hope shabs is ok...i first thought he knackered his hip on how he landed, very awkward and right in front of the referee too who played on . good job his injury is only a broken arm and the ref should be counting his lucky stars!!!!!!!

I really hope Shabby is ok, he seems to be cursed. On many occassions he has just started to put in consistent performances and then gets injured.
P.S. The reason people are upset that the ref didn't stop the game is because he did so in the first half for a non-head Redditch injury.

The ref is a moron, it was obvious when Shabby went down it was serious, he probably had no idea that the incident had happened. He didnt notice their number 10 kicking Ryan whilst he was on the floor and him then trying to strangle Cameron! Yet he noticed Cameron retaliate!
I just hope Shabby is ok and not in too much pain, he was brilliant today. They said on BBCHW that he has either broken or dislocated his elbow. I just hope he isnt out too long as he was just getting into his stride in the first team.

You are going back 30+ years!! Do you think a Mplaying ick Jones today would carry on - come to that, would Terry Butcher or Paul Ince even be allowed to play on after they were 'patched up'. I think medical support has moved on a bit since then. OK So Shabs 'might have walked off' and what if by doing that he had rendered some insurance policy - or whatever - void, or had compounded his injury. In the modern FOOTBALL game a player should expect to be stretchered off when the injury is serious - as in this case. What next eh Brooky? Pigs bladders filled with air? the 'traditional 1/2 time woodbine and a quick brandy'?

It is impossible to walk with a broken arm. I have one word to say Wakey - Dida!!!

The way he went down, I was thinking it was a serious neck injury. Only in that light am I relieved that it was a broken arm. And to be fair, such was the way he fell that the stretcher was there as quickly as the medical team, given there was a 10 second spell of play before the ref blew.
