Absolutely superb result, how I wish I could have made it there to see it. Well done lads and sincere congratulations to the management. What a transformation!
NB - Quite a match at Telford today it seems - VM having 4 sent off and surrendering a two goal lead to let the Bucks win 3-2. I'm looking forward to that match at the Lane.

Stunning win and a clen sheet to boot. Is that 31 points from the first half of the season. A good launching pad. We need 39 more from 21 games for a possible play off place....

A cracking win. And a clean sheet to boot. The first since September17th against the Solihull Moors. And only the second away win in the league this season, let us hope there will many more of them.
Well done the lads and the management team. I am looking forward to the holiday games.

Interestingly, Kettering havent played Southport or Harrogate yet (or Gainsborough and the Moors).
Telford havent played Nuneaton, Tamworth or Workington.
Hyde havent played Boston, Stalybridge or Workington.
Harrogate havent played Blyth, Hucknall, Kettering, Stalybridge or Workington
Southport havent played Burscough, Kettering, Nuneaton or Stalybridge
Nuneaton havent played Telford, Hinckley, Hucknall, or Southport.
Burscough havent played Alfreton, Leigh and Southport
The point being, that each one of those games among our competitors means that three points cant be taken by both.
Our remaining 'pairs' against Redditch, Blyth and Workington give an opportunity to gain ground while that is happening.
Of course, if we are not picling up points, games in which our rival(s) are guaranteed to pick up points would work against us.

A tremendous win; I'll eat humble pie (as well as the mince pie from Betty's) for not expecting anything from today's game. I feel the Christmas programme will see us secure either 7 or 9 points from the three games - 40 points on New Year's Day would be quite a turn around. However, I don't think for one minute it would be in City's or the Management Team's long term interests to get promotion this season.

An excellent win. To be fair, Town just didn't play well at all - but I reckon that's because we didn't let them 'boss' the game.
Jamie Price was my man of the match followed very closely by Cameron.
Some superb passing and interlinking and the confidence to play the ball out of defence rather than hoofing it.
Yeah there were some shaky periods, and I'm sure if Town had got a goal it might have been a different outcome. But they didn't - and was it a treat to watch the City Team celebrate with the travelling support at the end!! Nice Santa outfits too!!
Great result - leaving the Town Support shaken and fuming!!
I really hope this is the new start that we were waiting for.

Absolutely bloody fantastic!!!
Well done lads. I am starting to go to a City game expecting to win rather than hoping to.
Who was it who confidently predicted on another thread that we would not get anything out of a game against Harrogate?

I was the only one who said we would win, although I got the score wrong again, but I can not be perfect all the time, most of the time, but not all of the time.

Maybe the only real problem with our team was that it was being run by a crap manager before!!!

I never thought we needed the mass player clear out that was being talked about (Even by Barty). The players looked good (apart from 1 or 2) when they were signed but then after they always looked to be stifled in some way.
Take Ryan Clarke, who under the inspirational new management team we are now seeing the quality of the player that made City try 3 times to sign. I have to say I felt he looked OK at best under Preece and there was a question why we needed him when Ward was doing an equal job in that position.
I think Andy Preece did well with transfers generally and got a lot more decisions right than wrong.
On the other hand his tactics and management skills are another thing.

It's starting to look like Preecey could spot a player, or listened to those who could, but couldn't manage a curry, let alone a football team!

It's starting to look like Preecey could spot a player, or listened to those who could, but couldn't manage a curry, let alone a football team! Preece certainly could spot a decent player, but he never seemed to have any tactics. It was clear the Morrison was pulling all the strings when he was here and without his advice Preece was marooned in a sea of uncertainty. Player clearout is perhaps an over-statement but I would still like to see an all action centre midfielder. Webby's resurgence is a real bonus. It certainly makes a difference when all the players are 100% up for the challenge! But lets not run before we can walk. We were pretty fortunate against Moor Green, Barrow forgeot their shooting boots and it appears that Harrogate 'scored' but it was not seen by the linesman or ref. The real test will come when some of our 'luck' runs out. Lets hope the Dryden continues being a luky manager and that he too has an eye for a good signing.

AP was a manager not a coach. Jock was the coach. A managers role is to identify tallent and bring it to the club. The coaches role is to make the tallent into a team. AP was/is not a crap manager.
