I predict a backlash from Tamworth and a reversal of last months great result. I really hope not though as we desparately need a good cup run.

I'm going for the draw, att. 1300+ with City taking over 400, so get there early! ....and winning in the replay in extra time in front of over 1200! The lads will lift themselves big time after last week, but so will tamuff after our last visit.

I don't think this one will be settled until late on Monday. I'm going for a 1-1 draw at The Lamb in front of 1,119. The replay, watched by 988, will be 1-1 then there will be goalless extra time before City win on penalties.

I would love Nick Colley to score the one and only goal that knocks Tamworth out of the cup. And in the ensuing riot after he runs up to their fans and kisses the city badge on his shirt I suggest everyone runs for cover!

Nick is no fool but he had his problems and he probably still has.

I doubt Nick will even play considering the history but a girl can still dream.

I'm just hoping for a good performance from the lads; cup-ties are tricky things, particularly away from home, and Tamworth will be up for it make no mistake.
A nice 1-1 draw and a Monday replay would be a great outcome.

I am going and have got my Tamworthian in-laws 40th wedding annversary to go to afterwards (in fact it will start at 3pm) so fingers crossed the lads don't leave me exposed to ridicule.
Sadly I think there will be confrontation. It isn't just Colley (who they would gleefully have signed if roles were reversed) but too much 'previous'....City's walking wounded against them in the past is testimony. There has been something horribly wrong with their attutide for many years - maybe they will have mellowed now they realise Tamworth FC aren't set for the world domination they expected on their way up to the Conference - that they were having to punch above their weight 'up there' and that, to some extent, we're all in this non-League lark together and all want to win - but I doubt it.
The sooner they realise they play at The Lamb and not The Den the better.

I hope to meet you there Chris; I have heard of you by repute as that famous author of course. I'll be with grandson Jack.
One plus for tomorrow is that Peter Doran is, according to City's website, being allowed to play by Walsall, whereas I feared they might not wish him to be cup-tied.

Yes see you there, Tim - though I think have clashed before (in the loosest sense of the word and in our own wheezy way) during Big Match in April. Sadly I think City will lose too but we live in hope.

The referee, Stephen Cook, we've had many times in the past, and I'm still yet to see him have a good one! A game that had draw written all over it was won by a pathetic decision by the linesman. Inocuous challenge on a Tamuff player, both sets of players playing on, including the ref, and a linesman flagging for god know's what! Weak ref doesn't let play go on but gives Tamuff a free kick. And if you asked the ref what for, he won't know 'cos he was 70 yards away from play! Ball swung over to the far post, headed back, and 1 - 0! Rest of the game, Stephen Cook allowed their defence to climb all over Wilfing and Webby, but at the other end we were not allowed to make a challenge without giving away a free ! Draw would have been a fair result, and the only crumb I see from this is it was better than last week! It's going to be a long hard season, and the Trophy could be the only saviour, and also the hope we don't see Stephen Cook again.

A bit unfair to blame the ref for us failing to finish off a game we should have won.
