Getting back to the positive side of things, thought I would start a thread on next seasons squad as we have started work on securing players and was always a good thread back in the day -
GK
DEF
MID
- Ethan Moran
ATT
- Jordan Harrison

Good news on Jordan Harrison signing for next season , a good young player who works hard for the side and has scored 15 goals so far this season. Who would you keep on for next season and who would you release ? . What areas do we need to strengthen in to make a push for promotion ?. Lets all look forward to our cup final on Thursday evening at Evesham Fc against Studley FC .

this is who i would keep & find a couple of older heads for defence/midfield that will help the youngsters progress.
GK Dan Jezeph & Matt Gwynne
Def Luke English, Joel Caines, Sam Hall, Jamie Smith, Levi Andoh, Callum McFarlane, Sam Yeomans Andy Gallinagh if he is fit (we miss him)
Mid James Baldwin, Josh Willis, Riley Keasey, Ethan Moran, Liam Lockett, Chris Withington, Kyon Evans,
Attack Joe Bates, Jordan Harrison, James Lemon, Jamal Lawrence, Aron Brett
i would hope we can bring in a few on loan as & when needed, but not as this year keep chopping & changing the squad, i think this is a reason we have not done better as no stability, not saying this team will win the league but i think it would be a great start for the following season & i hope the lads play football more as it is great to watch rather than the long ball that usually goes to opposition & they come straight back at us.

I would keep Sam Gilder as one of the keepers, Defence , Levi Andoh, Callum Mcfarlane, Luke English, Arron Roberts, Jamie Smith, Sam Hall, Joel Caines, Midfield ,Josh Willis, Ethan Moran, Liam Lockett, Chris Withington, Forwards , Jordan Harrison, James Lemon, James Baldwin, Kyon Evans , will need to bring a centre back, a experienced midfield ply maker and a 20 goal a season striker. I am hoping we can keep Arron Roberts who has committed till the end of this current season, who would be a excellent signing for next season and has been a top player for Bromsgrove Sporting. I know the club is in discussions with Dan Jezeph to sign him up for next season. The management team need to play a settled side next season and the constant chopping the team about, has unsettled the side and the results have shown inconsistent performances which is reflected by our league table position this season.

thatloudbloke, I'm playing devils advocate. You suggest keeping 22 current players plus getting a couple of older heads, but you don't want to keep chopping and changing ? With 22 plus players, why would that chopping and changing stop ? Let alone, the weekly budget for all these players.
The current players and management have got us to the dizzy heights of 12th in a 20 team league, whilst also serving up some dire football this season. What will change next season if we continue with the same ? Why will these players who have got us to 12th suddenly improve ?
Being blunt, I would suggest that some of them just aren't consistently good enough, so fresh faces are needed rather than more of the same, particularly in a lightweight midfield.

This current squad has dragged us down to 12th and has won just twice in 10 matches. We are only where we are thanks to that unbeaten run back in the Autumn, which was achieved with a different combination of players. Personally I wouldn't miss any of them except Liam Lockett and Jamie Smith, and I think we'll struggle to keep hold of Liam over the summer.

I'm with jupu. Unlike Snapper who tells us that the players have 4 games to prove themselves for next season, I've seen more than enough already this season, thanks.
I've news for him - a big clear out is required.
There are 3 or 4 who are good enough, 3 or 4 who are squad players, and 16 who just aren't up to it even in this league, let alone any pretensions of playing higher.

Would totally understand if Locko moved on. Personally I'd want to keep Jamie Smith, Joe Bates, Chris Withington and Special K in addition to those on contract, but let the rest return to their pub teams. Cannot understand Snapper's loyalty to Jezeph, he let the club down big time and doesn't deserve the opportunity.

Who could replace these local player's that supporters suggested we bring in,more local's that would not be good enough? Do we look at players in our league that might be released at the end of the season? if so it could mean a pay cut and would they want to come here? It's a hard call, but it needs to come together very quickly at the start of next season (first 5 games) if we are not to have a repeat of this season.

You hear quite a lot of stuff don't you !.
I suggest if you have any evidence of accusations you are making that you report it to a Club Official who can look into it

So a minute a go you said "I heard all they do is".
Now you are saying "I see them in the pubs and Clubs".
Your story has more holes in it than our defence does !

Hmm, tough decisions. There’s only a few I wouldn’t miss next year to be honest. There’s a lot of “filler material” in the squad. I know why, as discussed, but assuming we keep within budget -
GK Gwynne- not sure what he did wrong to miss out of most of the season
DF Weir Jamie Smith Gally- if he’s fit Andoh English
MF Locko Special K Balders Bates Moran Willis
Att Harrison Kyonn Evans Lemon
I think we are in desperate need of calm, experienced heads in the centre of defence and centre of midfield. Players who can keep the youngsters in check and give them guidance if somethings not working. We’ve very much missed a commanding presence this season, especially so since Foz left.

At the risk of increasing my popularity to Hampsonesque proportions, this is the considered opinion of the view from the back of the stand:
Andoh - keep, raw potential is there and could become a powerful option. Attoumani - can clearly play but has major holes in his game. Release. Baldwin - keep as impact player, but needs major attitude shake-up Bates - defnitely keep, could be the pivot of the team, but could/should play as wide attacker Birley - think he'll be hanging them up Caines - would be very surprised if retained, doesn't have the technical quality for this level English - isn't good enough at this level really, overcomes some of the shortcomings with commitment and determination but still ain't got the quality. Will of course be the mainstay next season... Evans - this is probably one level too high in all honesty, would probably be better off banging them in at Malvern Gallinagh - essential if can get fit post-knee op Gilder - would keep as back-up keeper/goalkeeper coach Gwynne - no idea, he's obviously not in the club's plans Hall - would benefit from playing alongside an experienced and capable centre half, personally I'd keep Harrison - on contract so will be back, needs to step up and start fulfilling the undoubted promise Keasey - will become a good City player if given the opportunities, would defnitely keep Lawrence - I'd keep him but would give him some game time, which the management don't seem to want to do! Lemon - knows where net is but is too static at this level, wouldn't keep Lockett - really don't expect him to stay, which would be a huge loss for City McFarlane - don't think he's of the required standard to be honest Moran - contracted but really needs to improve his football brain, what to do and when to do it. Has the ability but not the judgement yet. Reyno - will be welcomed back with open arms, we've missed his work ethic and goals Roberts - hasn't exactly stabilised the goal haemorrhage! Wouldn't keep Sinclair - is he actually a defender? Smith - defnitely keep if he's fit to carry on playing Stoddart - no thanks, ponderous and indecisive at precisely the times he needs to command Weir - don't think he wants it anymore, certainly only a shadow of the player he used to be Willis - maybe keep, need to see more though Withington - keep, has the ability to change games with a tackle or interception, and his work rate can only be a good thing
Disappointed with the signing of Jezeph tbh, he let the club down really badly this season.

That's a well thought out post and much of what you say I agree with. Up to the management to decide who gets invited back next season, but it's not like in the CN when players would be offered new contracts over the summer. As we saw last year, at this level it's easy for players to commit and then change their mind and go off elsewhere.

Disappointed with the signing of Jezeph tbh, he let the club down really badly this season. Disappointed doesn't get close. What sort of message does this send out? Gets himself banned for six months for being a t**t and throwing a temper tantrum when the team in front of him decided to capitulate, and is not only welcomed back with open arms but becomes highest earner. He's not bloody superman! Serious doubts about Snapper's judgement on this one. Yes you'll get some argue that his saves during that unbeaten run earlier in the season are the reason we're not relegated this time around, but equally his unavailability left the club in the lurch, and that for me is the bigger problem. He doesn't deserve the loyalty he's been shown in my opinion. He is a better keeper than Gilder, no question, but thinks he's billy big bollocks, and he ain't.

I think that is a very harsh judgement on Jezeph. He's a youngster, who just lost his rag when things were going badly wrong: I saw the incident close up and for my money the referee made a lot of it.

Well he has signed, needs to prove he deserves it. Good keeper, personally I wouldn’t have had him back, but willing to give him a chance. I don’t fancy him over Gwynne though.

Impressed with Attoumani today, made things happen where others hadn't been able to. How rubbish were the centre halves though? And was the tannoy man taking the piss with the announcements "ladies and gentlemen it's Special K time"?

Sorry didn’t see the original post! For me disappointed the decision to sign jezeph after letting the club down and personally would of kept Gwynne. I’d like the Worcester boys to all stay but would be surprised if Baldwin doesn’t go else where as can’t get my head around him not being involved. Lockett will go im sure. Tyler I would say keep but he’ll have his 100th club and then come back. Not really anyone I’d be disappointed in losing apart from that in my opinion

In the last 8 games Baldwin played minutes in 4 with two unused subs appearances so wouldn't say he hasn't be used.
Disagree on Jezeph, quality keeper and people have short memories of players we've had in recent years that have let us and themselves down more.

Anyone heard anything about movements for next year in or out. Ones I’ve heard floating around. Tyler to Evesham, Gwynne and Baldwin to pershore, Kyan Reno and Bates Malvern and locko could be Heading to Halesowen. Return on hughsey been doing the rounds but don’t know what truth is in that

Although I cannot imagine it will happen, but Hughesy returning could possibly make me attend more often than I have this season. Sean Geddes would be a good signing to replace Birley.

Any of the above could happen, but equally they might not. Total speculation. All that we can say is that we need to bring in new players and that even if someone commits to playing for us today they could quite easily go somewhere else if they get a better offer.
