From WCFC website
"Wilcox Leaves"
"The Club wishes to announce the recent resignation from the Board of Mr Mark Wilcox a long standing and respected Director who through tireless hard work has built a strong ,successful and vibrant Youth Sector that has helped develop many young players as they progress through the ranks to represent WCFC. Mark will remain in his role with the Youth Sector but will no longer remain as a Club Director due to work and family commitments.
We would like to record our thanks for all he has put in and are pleased that our relationship will still enable him to aid us as we move forward with the Youth Sector.
The Club also confirms that ongoing Sponsorship has been secured for the following season with M Pinches Transport as Main Sponsor with Blackpole Recycling as back of the shirt.
WCFC are deeply grateful for this ongoing support which is a vital lifeline in keeping the Club going until as such time as we can return back to playing in Worcester. The recent set back at Parsonage Way provides yet more expensive frustration for the Club with as yet still no alternative in sight. The search will continue
WCFC Board of Directors"

Still no response from the Chairman re: Parsonage Way. Just a holding sentence which looks forced into the press release..

Of course it's a co-incidence the timing coincides with PW getting the obvious thumbs down, as it was a non starter from the beginning. How could anyone think any different ?
I've little doubt that he has put in " tireless hard work " over the years, but the end result shows............
Mark Wilcox was appointed as a Director on 08.12.11. Since then he has been part of a Board's decision making process which has lost money hand over fist, spent the cash down to its last 150k, voluntarily dropped 2 levels into a pub league, halved the support over 5 years, not supported the only sensible location plans for a new stadium, and then in desperation gone with a begging bowl to the Council ( who have not supported WCFC one iota in 25 years ) to then try and promote a completely unviable site ( one which had previously been considered and disgarded ).
On top of that he's been in charge of the Youth Section, which despite playing as Worcester City keeps its finances totally separate from WCFC Ltd ( never did get an explanation for that one ).
Whoever wrote the WCFC press release was certainly wearing rose coloured glasses............................and then there were three.

As for Martin Pinches words, the Board Meetings must be pretty short as he appears to not know what Hampson and Wilcox have been discussing with the council. There were only 4 Board members. If PW wasn't on the agenda, what was ?
“I have had nothing to do with the discussions and been to none of the meetings. What I have seen is exactly what others have ".
As for " If anyone out there wants to get involved, we would be more than happy to welcome them."
Who with any sanity, would want to get themselves tarred with the same brush as this lot ? No one's got a big enough bucket to bail out this sinking ship led by Admiral Hampson.

That article with comments from Pinches is really bizarre. In essence Pinches is telling everyone that he hasn't got a clue what is happening within WCFC, a company that he is a Director of. He hasn't been to any of the meetings, and has no more understanding than the general public. So basically, Hampson and Wilcox have kept him in the dark about very important company matters that he has a liability for.
I wonder what else Martin Pinches is being kept in the dark about? Has he seen the Business Plan that the club has provided to the P&R committee at Worcester City Council? Is he provided with any management reports? Is he shown any of the financials at the company?
How can a company Director make a statement saying that he has no idea what is going on, has not been to the meetings, not given any information, not been involved in discussions.......yet he is confident that City will come back to Worcester? What the hell is this confidence based on?

No one's got a big enough bucket to bail out this sinking ship led by Admiral Hampson. Everyone who has tried to get involved has been given short shrift. Nick Igoe and Supporters Trust wanted to get involved, and were inconvenienced to the point of walking away. Directors like myself have put themselves forward, and have then been kept in the dark, just like Pinches, and have obviously had to walk away. Martin, get real, who in their right mind is going to get involved with a company who operate in dark corners in such a clandestine manner? And unfortunately, it's well past the point where it would be a viable proposition trying to help out. Who is going to invest in soup bowls to bail out the Titanic?

Apparently the new chairman is someone I’ve never heard of - with a track record of success in business in Liechtenstein. He’s called Hanthony Bampson

As Barry Davies said " interesting.........very interesting ".
If Admiral Hampson does desert the sinking sink, I do hope he leaves behind all the paperwork relating to the sale of SGL, and all the bank statements and bookkeeping records since 2008.

Fantastic news that Hampson has finally gone. Roll on the new era and an AGM at last! Let’s hope it is not too late to save the club.

Steve Goode and Dave Wood are top men. Personal heroes of mine. I hope they realise what they've taken on - I'm sure they do, but the depth of the problems will only become evident as the corners of this shabby era are swept clean. I also worry about the effect this has had on so many hard working supporters, especially the likes of Rob Crean who's efforts have been derided, abused and ignored by so many.
Hampson and co leaving has been likened to "rats deserting a sinking ship". I don't think this is a good analogy. This has been the plan all along. Sell the ground underpriced; sift away the cash; delay any alternative schemes in order to stay in power and cover their tracks - then when all the money has been squirrelled away beach the vessel and sneak off into the sunset.
Well done to them. It worked. I hope they enjoy their ill gained wealth. I doubt if the likes of Boddy, Hallmark, Lancaster, Hampson etc have even a modicum of shame. They should have.
Now things get interesting - but it's going to be a hell of a slog to move the club forward. I've read calls for unity between the club and the Trust - hopefully we now have a board that will listen to supporters; shareholders and the trust. We haven't had that for a long time. The board have blamed everyone else for the divide - but they were the ones that created and maintained it.
Good riddance to Hampson & co they were a disgrace.

Ealing, I could not have put it better. I feel happy that there seems to be a possible way forward but ultimately sad that we've had to put up with 15 years of misery.....

We need to temper excitement too much, and set realistic expectations. What this means is that we have a real chance to get under the covers and get to grips with what the hell has been happening behind closed doors for so long. How on earth did the business lose £290,000 last financial year? Where did all the money disappear to? Who got paid what? and most importantly, whats left over in terms of cash vs liabilities? Then we can start making decisions on firstly, whether there is a way forward, and secondly, what that way forward looks like. It may well be too late, but at least we'll know, and will be in a position to make decisions based on fact. AND those decisions will be shaped not by the Board, but by the shareholders, and hopefully those shareholders will be every fan who buys a community share!

I think that there's every chance of many things happening now that didn't happen before. I'm sure as soon as the dust has settled, that a plan will be presented to shareholders and supporters. Exciting times

As ever Lord Ealing has summarised the position well. However I feel that I want to do the same but more succinctly.
AH is was and always be one of the biggest lying c**** associated with City. I wouldn’t piss on the f**k**g arsewipe if he was on fire.

The bizarre thing is that, following the shower running the show before, the bar was set pretty low for Hampson to be better!! Yet somehow he managed to send the bar down a mile lower! In honesty, all he had to do, to be better, was to communicate. Unfortunately, he wasn't even able to communicate with his own Board! A salutary lesson for all here, communicate, even if its not good news. There have been many times when the Trust have had hard news to tell their members, and I can't think of a single time when members weren't able to digest the news, and work to move forward. We've got to be doing the same within the football club now.

Excellent news but,as Jem says,we musn't get carried away. There might only be bad news ahead ,but at least it would be honest bad news and everyone would know the score.Let's hope it isn't too late to save the club though.Might even go to a "home" game at some point now!!
