"A salutary lesson for all here, communicate,...." I'm sure even Hampson knew this - but that wasn't his brief. It was simply to delay and hide the evidence.

When's the date the books pertaining to the sale of SGL can be legally burned? That c*** Hapless Hampson hasn't just developed a conscience, he's gone now because his pimp has told him to. Must be a smocking gun around, as a very curious orange once tweeted. f**k**g great news though that he has gone, and that the right people now stand a chance of saving the day, however slim that chance is.

All this emphasis on open-ness and communication is very good, but there are some things, when you are negotiating, that you don't necessarily want the whole world to know, so I hope the new directors steer a fine line between the need for honesty and the need for commercial nouse.

Given Hampson refused to be open with shareholders and supporters alike and clearly had zero commercial nouse (given the catastrophic financial losses he has overseen) I would say the new board can only be an improvement wouldn’t you Tim?

But Tim, what are thieve “things” that are needed to be kept secret in negotiations? We are not talking about major financial deals in an international marketplace. This is a local impoverished football club that’s on its knees. Hampson didn’t disclose anything because he was in negotiations - he didn’t open talks with anyone. He did zero fund raising during his chairmanship. He imposed secrecy to protect his and his fellow collaborators actions.
What is needed now is openness and honesty in order to re-engage with the community and win over the Trust of the fans who, like me, have given up on WCFC. There’s no hope for the club if supporters, shareholders and potential investors aren’t treated with open honesty and inclusivity.

No-one has even mentioned negotiating!! Of course, sensitive and confidential matters are handled in the Boardroom. What we have always spoken about is an openness in communicating to shareholders and also supporters, in terms of the state of play at the club, especially when the news is uncomfortable. Bad news is better than no news, and the days of burying heads in the sand have to end.

I think some people are still in the mind state that if you put a blue blazer on someone they must know better than yourself and should be respected, preferably with a tug of the forelock as you pass them by..I really hope this change is a change for good and a complete change of culture forever at WCFC

I remember being "advised" by certain Board members that I would need to change what I wear to games, and that a dress code should be introduced for match days. It was also somewhat frowned upon that Directors thought it was fit and proper to be on the terraces during games, and not eat apple pie, coffee and biscuits in the Boardroom ! Hopefully that kind of old fashioned stupidity will be a thing of the past.

Jem says above "Of course, sensitive and confidential matters are handled in the Boardroom." That was the point I was making; I am all in favour of the supporters knowing as much about what is going on as is possible and prudent.
Hopefully, knowing that a real City person is now in charge, we are now singing from the same hymn sheet.

If only this had happend 6 months ago, I would have stuck around in the know that our ideas would have been listened to, unfortunately I had no choice but to stand down as very little was being done ! Good luck to Steve and Co moving forward. Sponsorships has already picked up since yesterday morning

Only glad that I`ve lived long enough to see the back of the evil Hampson. Now I hope the new regime will concentrate on putting things right for the future rather than waste time trying to expose the excesses of the past. I wish those who get involved well and hope we can all pull together to re-establish our beloved Worcester City.To name two of our oldest rivals, both Hereford and Merthyr have done it, so why not us ?

Dragon, you're spot on. The first job is very much finding out exactly where we are at the moment, because the secrecy has meant that no-one apart from maybe one or two Directors know that detail. So its a question of working with people with the right skills, who can do a drains up, with all the information provided. From there, decisions can be made about future directions, and these directions put to shareholders. Now, they might not be very palatable directions, but at least they'll be backed up with facts, and presented to the people who care. To me, that's incredible progress, and yes, it should have happened years back, but hey, it's happening now, so no point in a witch hunt.
