After his dismal performances last season who would want to snap him up?

After his dismal performances last season who would want to snap him up? He was disappointing, this is true, but Snape is the real problem. Worcester is a Vanarama National level side, and I don't see small-time Snape ever getting us to that level.

I can't comment about John Snape as I know nothing about him apart from what I saw on the pitch years ago and what I have seen pitch side recently. What I can comment on though is your assertion that Worcester are(or should be) a Conference side. Whilst I can agree that a City the size of Worcester ought to be able to support a club at that level I think you are living in cloud cuckoo land if you think you think it will ever happen again! No ground,no money,no future and no hope is what beckons the faithful few left I'm afraid unless there are some big changes. If we both live long enough for you to prove me wrong I will be a very happy man and would love to buy you some beers to celebrate!!

No-one will ever get us to that level, Mourinho would not be able to get us to that level., because the club is broke, which is why they resigned from the Vanarama League altogether. The manager of WCFC is irrelevant.

Last year's Worcester squad at the start of the 16/17 season was capable of being a Vanarama National side imo. Poor finances certainly contributed to the downfall, but finances can change. Poor management from Snape, who many players dislike working with, was the key factor for me. Edit - and know the topic is back. Glad to see it.

1 how can you critise Snape as he & Hughes have rebuilt the team with little budget... 2 football is a team sport, not a one man band... 3 the poor managment cam early in the seanon & Snape was not the manager... 4 the Captain should also be included in the downfall as he should be the link between the players & manager... 5 the captain also became part of the management of the squad with Snape so again is part of the reason 6 only one player & manager stayed with the team from last year, & that shows who wants to be part of WCFC 7 last but nomeans least, i did not see your post but as you make out you are WCFC why would you openly critisise the manager, & yes I beleive Snape can make a diffrence to the club so support him through the lean period...

"Genghis" clearly has a personal problem with John Snape, for reasons we shall never know.

Snape is the rotten apple that will spoil the bunch, however. 3) Snape was pulling the strings from afar long before he became manager. 4) I'm not claiming that Snape is the sole reason for the downfall of Worcester, but he is the biggest reason. 6) If Snape had left, there would be far more players who stayed on. I don't blame anyone for freeing themselves of his off-pitch unprofessionalism. 7) I can never co-sign anything involving Snape.

For what it's worth I don't rate Snape. He had little ability as a player (he tried hard) and has shown nothing to suggest he could be a successful manager at any level. Danny Jackman would have jumped at the chance of managing Worcester City but was ignored. Another Hampson error in my opinion
