Following the sacking of the Stafford Rangers manager, Tom Thorley has now departed also, signing for Rushall Olympic. Danny Glover has also signed for them from Hednesford Town. Olympic are managed by former City player Liam McDonald.

Can't believe City have let Joe Hawkins sign permanently for Tividale. What little confidence I had in Ash Vincent's judgement is now totally gone. Even Stevie Wonder can see where all the goals were being conceded and who was making the mistakes, so the club let the player who should have been playing there go instead. Nonsense.

Joe Hawkins was one of the positives last season which was a poor one, and cannot understand why he has been allowed to leave to go to Tividale . In a poor start to the season with us conceding goals on a regular basis , we should of had Joe in the side to shore up our defence which lacks height is conceding goals from corners and set pieces. It seems Joe was enjoying life at Tividale and wanted to remain their where he was playing regular and felt wanted. Time will tell if this was a good decision by our Management team who are under pressure to get the season back on track.

I don't understand it either. Hawkins was ideal for a centre half in this league. Big, strong, brave, headed it away, and cleared it - he did the simple art of defending very well, and always gave 100 %. As noted above, we can't head for toffee at the back, and look like we'll concede at every set piece.
Presumably he doesn't fit in with our manager's pointless " play it around between the keeper and the back 4 until you get caught in possession " philosophy ".
Dreadful decision.

Pat's changed a bit since his playing days! Always remember him coming off the pitch looking immaculate after every game. Great technician but not the strongest physically. Am told he is a superb coach though. Preecey's presence guaranteed to have an impact on how they played, and it certainly did. Thought the Derby youth were a bit overawed on the day and several of them wilted. Not often you see a game where the non-league side are massive favourites against a side representing a Championship club. Unusual times for sure.

Sam Minihan and Jordan Keane playing for Stockport vs West Ham right now in the FA Cup. And of course you know who scored the winner last time Stockport knocked a top flight side out of the FA Cup? The current Chorley Assistant Manager fairly well known in these parts, one Andy Preece.

Callum Ebanks, who was registered with us on work experience from Cheltenham, is on the bench against Man City in the cup. Didn't get on though.

Forest Green Rovers have sacked head coach Mark Cooper after a run of 5 defeats and 1 draw in their last 6 games. Former City manager Richard Dryden, who was appointed as assistant head coach last summer, has also departed.

Brad Birch has moved from Bromsgrove Sporting to Hednesford Town. He rejoined Sporting last December but due to the early termination of the season he didn't play a single game for them.

Liam Lockett scored the winner for Bedworth United in the FA Cup against Cambridge City. Levi Andoh who got released by Ashley Vincent is on loan at Hereford Fc from Ipswich Town and featured in Hereford Fc win in the FA Cup with George Forsyth also in the side. Mike Symonds scored on his debut for Evesham United . Ryan Boot and Alex Gudger still first team regulars at Solihull Moors .

Mark Owen has been appointed Joint manager of Worcester Raiders to replace Chris Cornes who was sacked by email by the chairman. Worcester Raiders players threatened to boycott last nights game in response to the sacking of Chris Cornes .
