Nice to see some positive reaction to what was a decent 45 minutes. Let's not forget that we were once again served up the same uninspiring football in the first half that we have witnessed in so many home games this season. That's now one home win in the league in five months.

The fact that it's gone quiet here is I think partly due to the fact that people nowadays prefer to communicate via other social media, but also I would suggest that many former contributors simply can't be bothered any more. We won away from home on Saturday but nothing at all about that on here.

Got a bit of an obsession with the keeper coach, not sure why. Gliders made one mistake. De Gea made a mistake the other week, unfortunately when keepers do it's in the net and everyone blames them This might make Gilders feel a bit better: www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/47605187

I do agree that, as a supporter, I can see no value whatsoever to the way we are set up for home games. It's not producing results, it's not producing entertainment, there in no incentive for supporters or casual visitors to come and watch what is on offer.

If the player budget stays the same then new recruits will be the same standard as this season. Last 10 games have yielded 10 points against a lot of bang average teams who were more athletic and fitter. A question for the management team what plans are made for set pieces and corners? Our persistence with short corners is baffling. Even after all this time we still make a mess of them.

Contrary to what Snapper said post-match, I thought the incident that led to their first goal was a clear penalty.
Their winner was a goalkeeper error, but clearly the conditions made it more difficult for the team defending the far end. However, one team was smart enough to take advantage of the conditions, the other wasn't.
I also thought the performance was little better than last week. I don't recall us having a single shot on target during the time we had four strikers on the pitch and a man advantage.
It's now 6 defeats in 7 games, or 7 in 8 including the RAF friendly. This is as bad as two seasons ago when we were relegated. There's little evidence to suggest that lessons are being learned or that we're building for next season.

Andy Mitchell, is reporting " hearsay " now a story ? Whatever the merits of becoming " community owned ", the present business model allied to inept stewardship hasn't done the Club much good has it ? Fully agree. It's fine to have different shades of opinion. It's a pity that the individuals in question want to be anonymous but they are in a minority. If the existing model was going to work there is no evidence to support that view. The club isn't going to last much longer if things stay as they are.

Have we given up already? Well, we're destined to finish mid-table, but there is an Urn to play for against those lovely people from Highgate.
It's evident to me that the rest of the season is all about trying out young players with a view to establishing which ones are good enough to play at this level regularly next season - that's assuming they want to play for Worcester City.
Having said that, three successive league defeats is very poor, even if we're now paying less wages than most other clubs in our league we should be able to compete better than this.

It's important, I think, that someone is present at the AGM who can answer these questions and more, preferably whoever was providing financial services to the Club during the periods in question. It might be helpful if they are submitted to the Club Secretary in advance of the meeting.
There are two current directors who were also directors for the whole of the periods covered. If they are present at the AGM they may be able to provide some relevant information to shareholders.

According to Andy Mitchell on the WN website:
"It would appear the problem was at the end of the ground next to the main entrance.
The sun was unliklely to hit areas that were still hard which would have affected players taking corners or running full pelt towards the goal line at that end of the ground."
So the suggestion is that the pitch itself was okay but the areas outside the field of play were still too frozen.
I appreciate the referee has to take account of player safety but I've never heard anything like this before.

I can't see it being on, regardless of any snow the pitch will surely be frozen.

I'm with teej, I don't think that significantly more fans will want to come and watch us struggling to keep up with clubs like Barton Rovers, Yaxley and Welwyn Garden City. The priority needs to be on trying to break even, developing the local young talent that appears to be emerging and hopefully playing closer to home. I would be happier to watch a winning team in the MFL than a losing team in the league above. Plus we get another shot at the Vase.

If any of our players had expectations that they would be playing in a side challenging for promotion this season, the penny has probably dropped that it isn't going to happen. Anyone wishing to play at a higher level will have to seek that elsewhere.

The stand was constructed in 1963. If they are wooden tip up seats with iron frames they will be originals.

One league win at home in four months and no wins in our last five home league matches. In the circumstances it was a pretty impressive turnout by the City faithful today. It was an entertaining game and we had a decent second half but our goalkeeper Sam Gilder kept us in the game and deserves praise for a really assured performance.

Jordan Murphy has gone on loan to Leamington from Solihull Moors. He came on as a substitute in the game at Brackley on Boxing Day. Leamington had three other former City players - Connor Gudger, Junior English and Colby Bishop - in their starting eleven.

A few stats arising from today's game:
The first time we've ever been beaten by Swifts in a competitive match.
Our first defeat on Boxing Day since leaving the Lane.
Fourth game in a row that we've conceded in the last ten minutes.

It is a point well made that we cannot underestimate how much work will be needed to try and rescue the situation. It's like turning around an ocean liner. As much as the new board has brought about some optimism, there needs to be a degree of understanding as to the size of the task ahead and what is required to accomplish it. In my view what's happening on the field now is a consequence of what has gone before off the field.

I think it was apparent from the games that Nick appeared in this season he's still some way off being able to perform at his best due to his long injury lay-off. How many strikers have we had this season?

Another hugely disappointing afternoon against the team at the bottom of the table. At one stage they looked to be hanging on but gradually realised that as long as it stayed 1-0 they had a chance. It goes without saying that it was an awful mistake from Jamie Smith but maybe the conditions played a part.
We have now won only one of our last 7 league games and will go into 2019 without a home win in the league since October.
The attendance was 200. As far as I can tell it's our lowest crowd for a Saturday home game since WW2.
These are really difficult times for the club, both on and off the pitch.
