Am working with TLB to look at making this happen.
We're in the process of organising a supporter financed banner for which contributions (both input into the design and financially) appreciated/required in due course. More details on this to follow.
My initial design which I pulled together last night is below. Am open to any thoughts/suggestions? Note the willingness to use of the word abandoned- how would people see that fitting into a design like the below?
View Attachment_
The white square surrounding the crest would be blue. Looking to order one as big as possible. Could it read something like "Don't Let Your Club die" or "Don't kill your Club"?

Could we say Abandoned by Worcester City Tory Council ?
As Dean Hawker, one of the protesters is now a regular visitor to the Banter Board and now pasting messages from here onto the Protesters site, how about, "Support The Friends of Perdiswell". This was a group set up to promote the use of the park by and for the benefit of the people of Worcester, for the purpose of leisure, recreation, sport and community events and we are a founder member. At last nights meeting there were just FOUR people there which included me and I joined to represent WCFC Trust and WCFC to ensure that Football gets back to Perdiswell regardless of whether we ever get a Football Ground on there. At least the other three (who do not the football ground) back up their convictions with action. It would be good to see all of those 1000's of people against WCFC chip in (I think I know the answer to that). In my opinion the only way we are going to get WCFC back playing in Worcester is to shame the council into action. The message has to hit home and hit hard and with respect Rich I don't think that's going to do it. I would't highlight the fact that they are Tories because that'll end up diluting the argument. It's not a party political issue even though it does divide down party lines. I just think what message would embarrass these councillors the most if it were published in newspapers or broadcast on midlands or even national news?

Not to scale obviously.... there would be more flag (blue space) around the wording.
Any advances?

I agree, although I think our local Tory party is a load of [fill in your own swear words here], we should be shaming the council as a whole. Those who truly support us will have a clear conscience. Just had a play on MS paint, Banner is twice as long as is high. Wording might be slightly off centre, but easily corrected. Thoughts?

To get this set up and ready, I would set up a vote of maybe four quotes for the banner and then make designs, whichever banner everyone decides as their favourite we can all chip in to it getting made.

Let's make the Council sit up and take notice. Keep the faith.

Am also in the process of setting up a mechanism for online donations to be made. Hoping to get things up and running in the next day or so/over the weekend latest. Similar timescale for launching the vote so now is the time to shout up on any further suggestions on flag wording/design.

In general it seems that one thing we're agreed on is that the banner should be aimed at the council, which I think is right.
They are only interested in two things - votes and money (both public and personal). If councillors have already been "taken to lunch" by developers and "persuaded" that Perdiswell is best used for housing, then our cause is lost. We can only hope that their desire for votes might override this.
Which means, in the long term, the local residents need winning over. They have one interest - they don't want change. That's understandable, as none of us likes to step into the unknown. However, they have to realise that change IS going to happen. Perdiswell will not remain an unused plot of land.
They have a choice between:
1. a football ground with a sporting hub serving the community and retaining a large area of unspoilt land with traffic build up once or twice a week for two thirds of the year.
OR
2. a massive housing development akin to Dines Green (I'm not knocking the estate I had relatives there), with a total loss of green space and a congested Bilford Road for 12 months of the year.
If they understand that, they will back our plan, swing their votes and THAT will help pressurise the councillors.

This is the wording I would use. "Worcester City FC. Abandoned by Worcester City Council" I like this. If we get it done, it needs to be done by a good graphic designer though. A shoddy looking job won't do us any favours.

According to google. The most popular (traffic-wise) site to use is: www.gofundme.comIf we raise more than needed for one, we could get a few. Also, does anyone live on any of the main roads in to and out of Worcester? Fancy funding a flagpole to have in your garden to fly a flag 24/7 (the closer to county hall, the better)

Wouldn't a flag best be flown near Guild Hall, as County Hall is county council, right?

The problem with a flag pole is that planning consent would probably be required, so you might get that in a few years time On the subject of 'the banner', presumably there is a timeline in which the design and production need to be considered, so the sooner the better. Whilst this seems to be solely for one banner, what are the chances of individuals getting one of their own made up to compliment the large one? Is there some sort of price guide available (e.g a 4ft x 3ft banner would cost around £x). I would be happy to consider getting one, as well as donating for the big 'un.. Dodger.

Dodger as already mentioned on the supporter funded big banner, it's in hand. A bit of patience please- details to be posted on here later today when I get back from Chorley, or tomorrow latest. It will be a 18ft x 9ft banner which will need people to chip in to fund (there will be the option to donate online). I will be canvassing opinion from the City fans at the Chorley game today to get views on the final shortlist to put to the vote. Don't let this stop people doing their own thing in addition. The more banners/flags the better. #bringcityhome

Thanks citytoon & tlb.
My comment on the timeline was more of a general statement rather than anything critical towards the organising. I think it's a sound job being undertaken, and thanks for the search suggestion on banner making. If smaller ones are do-able for a reasonable price maybe there could be quite of few supporting the big 'un on the day.
On a secondary note this approach, coupled with the fact that we are playing FCUM, could be a good news coverage item for TV???

i was thinking the same, not sure what ST have/are doing on this...
ST can you give build on where you are with this.
if nothing done i will send emails to Central news/ Midlands today... also let Geoff at WN know & led Bradders & sports team at H&W know, also as it was Wyvern, think it may be free radio now... Birmingham Mail might want to cover, not sure about Daily's & any other local radio & Rags... I know we have supporters around the country, just wondered if they could do the same...
lets get as much publicity as possible is my policy & on a side note should we invite a few councillors...(tongue in cheek)...

Should the FCUM game be promoted as a bring your City flags game? To try and have a little competition with FC? Probably wont win if they bring 5% of their collection.

I like the idea, but it's already being promoted as being a community day, and as a day to show your support to bring City home, so adding more might muddy the water. I think FCUoM and ourselves have enough about us to avoid the drop this season, so we should expect to see them next season too, so it might be an idea for then. As what should be the biggest league crowd of the season for us, we should try and capitalise on it each year. At least until Hereford get up to us. That'll be a cracker.

Will we get 'the nod' from the stewards and the health & safety brigade to bring flags & banners into the ground?
I know we had difficulty at Gateshead and Sheff Utd, with their precautionary home stewarding.
