Overall I enjoyed yesterday. Only two little gripes.
How do i request that the "famous food hut" does some vegetarian food please?
Also, is there any chance we can get behind the other goal, even if its only half the far stand (like it was in the Worcester senior cup final a couple of years ). I understand there were a couple of spats with fans mixing behind the goal in the first half and giving fans the chance to stand behind the goal they are attacking would get rid of this problem, I think.

Hi Lee,
Not sure on the food, maybe talk to Rich Widdowson.
On the stand thing. Unfortunately not, we are very much to the general safety certificate of KHFC and Aggborough Stadium meaning we would need more stewards in place for that stand to open.
The reason for not opening the whole ground is merely cost to WCFC, it costs us enough for the safety staff we have to have from KHFC on a Matchday as it is and if we open that stand we would then need to have X amount of extra staff on, which means extra cost for the club.
That's why on a Tuesday night game against a team such as Vauxhall Motors may mean we only open the main stand which saves us having the stewards to man a half empty stand, we can then keep our costs down.
It's all £'s at the end of the day
The problem that occurred was due to a mix, however Altrincham fans swapped ends at HT (or at least as far towards that end as possible), whereas our supporters stayed in the same place all game. Ie why there was a mix

Also what's the chances of having 'Time is Tight' played when the players come out onto the pitch?

I was glad of the change of music beforehand. Save time is tight for when we are at "home". Time is tight doesn't do much for me at all. Glad its gone, if it has gone.

A plea to keep "Time is Tight" please! My kids love it and demand I play it in the car on the way to games, to them it's 'The City Tune' and winds them up for the match.
I have to say I was very impressed with the Aggborough Experience after lamenting the move from the Lane. What would we give for a Stadium and facilities like that?
Also many thanks to the City and Kiddy Staff who were so friendly and welcoming, that really does make a difference, even the Referee ran over and "high fived" my kids before the game!
A magnificent turn out by the fans all things considered and I will be surprised, given the facilities and our exciting new look young team, if the gates reduce significantly.
Many thanks to all concerned.

Sometimes you have just got to face the fact that something has come to an end. Time is Tight was the song of the Lane, even though many other things were played when the team came out over the years, and now that the Lane has gone I think that Time is Tight has also run it's course. Also, like Lee says, very few of our under 25 fans have any love for the tune. So for the new era we'll be trying other stuff out over the next few home games. Saturday's ditty was something from Pirates of the Caribbean, the choice of one of our directors, which didn't really work.

Time is Tight isn't one of my favourites but it is the tune I associate with City's home games and we do need to feel at home while we're at Aggborough. However Saturday's game certainly felt like a home fixture. Kiddy have got a great set up, the terracing is banked just right for a good view of the pitch and the main stand with changing rooms and bar underneath, players tunnel in the middle with the subs benches either side and the big glass windows at the back would be the envy of many clubs. I'm sure the Perdiswell planners have already taken note. All things considered, I think our stay at Kidderminster will be ok.

I was upset that Time is Tight was not played. If we ever get a new ground I'd like it back. Even Premier league clubs keep their musical heritage (z cars, The Liqiudator etc).
Re having one end closed - it's understandable that we want to save money on stewards, but a rethink is definitely required. Having both sets of supporters standing together (like in the first half) doesn't promote a great atmosphere for singing. It's an even worse situation when loads of people stand up in the seating area, like Alty did, in the second half & I can see this continuing throughout the season. Is standing in a seating area even allowed? It obscures the view of the fans who are unfortunate enough to be sitting next to them.
I like to read my programme over a pint before the game, but was told by the steward at the main turnstile entrance that there was nowhere inside to have a pint. It was only at half time I found out the bar in the stand was open. Can a folding street sign (like we used to have at the Lane) be put outside to say if the stand bar is open?
Plus points - the parking was well organised, food amaaaaazing!

The bar upstairs (as per the tannoy) is only open for first two games, after that it is viewed that the club could sell out the sponsorship boxes.
If we do not, I believe the bar will be open for all spectators.
I cannot make the decision on opening the other end, as its a financial implication towards the club then it's a matter for the board to decide, I will put it to them however.
As per the parking we hope all spectators can use the yellow car park (first car park from the direction of Worcester) (will be advertised from the next game onwards from roadside), every penny raised goes to the club

I was actually glad we didn't come on to Time Is Tight. Time Is Tight was no.1 the week the tannoy box was built at the Lane, and besides one disastrous match when the players decided they wanted Simply The Best and then got gubbed 4-0, was played every week as far as I know.
That was then. This is now, it isn't the Lane. Something else is entirely appropriate. Can we make suggestions for the new walk-on music?

My preference is still Time is Tight but if we cant have that how about any of the following
Pressure by The Enemy (after Tuesday decided against Aggro !) Living for Weekend by Hard Fi Enter Sandman - Metallica Ride of the Valkyries - Wagner (not the xfactor one !) Right here Right Now - Fat Boy Slim Chase the sun - Planet Funk (you will know it !) Thunderstruck - ACDC Blues From A Gun - Jesus & Mary Chain
I also think it should be voted on via the club website
My favs from the above would be Enter Sandman or Blues from a gun

Time is Tight was never a UK number 1. It got to number 4 in 1969. I think the City Sounds box pre-dated that by a year or two.
A tune called Music Box Dancer replaced it for a while in the early eighties but TIT was reinstated by popular demand.
I think it should be put on hold and brought back when we return to Worcester.
Nothing wrong with any if Rob's suggestions. I would add Heroes by David Bowie to the list if possible replacements.

Alan Wills gave me bogus info then when I asked him many moons ago why Time is Tight was played! How about Green Onions? Some might get it! Personal favourite though would have to be John Cooper Clarke, Evidently Chickentown

What about this, starts at around 40 secs - Papa's Got A Brand New Pigbag (which this is a cover/sample fest of) is already on my list of things to try. As is Swords Of A Thousand Men by Ten Pole Tudor amongst others. Could do with some more up to date suggestions however.

With so many tastes in music, personally I like "Green Onions" & "Papas got brand new Pig-Bag"" . Why dont you pick 3-5 songs and ask the fans to vote? Then you would have a majority not a minority!

Everybody wants one of their own personal favourites but that wouldn't be the choice of many. What I like would be not be what others like and as I stated previously Time is Tight is the song I associate with WCFC and not actually one of my favourites. The Match of the Day theme tune is pretty awful but at about 10.30 on Saturday night it's in the right place at the right time. However the democratic way is to vote from a list of choices.

Just my personal opinion for what it's worth-.Certain tunes bring with them certain associations.Whenever I hear the MOTD theme I think of staying Saturday nights with my Gran because she had a colour TV and it was a real thrill to see the games in colour. Sports report always makes me think of going to Swindon Town in the 1970's. Had usually just got back on the supporters bus when this came on the bus radio and a bloke called Reg Richens used to sell little bars of toffee walking up and down the bus as the results were read out. All this unashamedly sentimental bluster leads to the fact that Time is Tight evokes memories of the wonderful SGL and,I hope, always will. I have no wish to hear it at Aggborough nor, frankly, at any ground we may find ourselves in over the next few years.

I don't think we need a regular song for the team to come out to. I'd rather we have have something different each time. Let's wait until we're back in Worcester before deciding on a regular tune!
Maybe even try to raise a few quid by letting people sponsor a song each week. There are a few fans with wierd/obscure tastes that may get a kick out of hearing the boys run out to?

Two games in a row now and its been tetchy behind the goal. We need something to either encourage fans down to that'd end of the ground or to open the other end so away fans can follow home fans lead by standing behind the goal they are attacking. Sitting down isn't appealing to some fans and I can see this hassle happening over and over again every week. Not fun and not wanted. Please can some common sense prevail.
