Right by The Sadlers Brewery too. What a great draw!

According to a former player of ours (currently playing in that league) their pitch is like a cabbage patch and they like to kick chunks out of the opposition.
Our usual passing on the deck game may prove to be difficult !

Its in Lower Gornal which is part of Dudley. Its famed for its bog snorkelling, and Sue Lawley

Where on earth is it? Google didn't have an idea? Google maps take you straight there. Very basic ground.

Bog snorkelling? Is the pitch that bad?
After last year I'm sure Carl and Matt will be determined not to slip up again. I think we're fortunate to get an away draw so close to home. It's not often that we get a lower ranked team from the West Mids area.
Incidentally, we played them when they were known as Lower Gornal Athletic in the FAC in 1965, winning 4-2 at the Lane.

I think that if you get drawn against a team in the Midland Alliance, you can hardly complain if their pitch isnt as flat as a billiard table, and that the players kick chunks out of each other. If they had quality footballing footballers instead of cloggers, then they wouldnt be in the Midland Alliance League, and if they werent in the Midland Alliance then the pitch wouldnt be a cabbage patch! You go there, you get the job done, and you get out of there.

Tipton Town from the Midland Alliance reached the FA Cup 1st Round proper a couple of seasons ago.

Worcester once found Highgate United to be so good that we bought the company, to coin a phrase.

It doesnt look that impressive, and pales into insignificance compared to the Brookside.

Where on earth is it? Google didn't have an idea? If you key in Garden Walk, Lower Gornal, DY3 2NR. Then you will receive full directions.

I've had no Broadband for a week and hence unable to post on here.
This is a potential banana-skin of the 1st magnitude and could either kick-start our season to new heights or finish us off.
A win will do whatever the scoreline, or financially a draw would be good of course.

Note to JIIG - it's Gornal, not Gornall as stated on our website!

I doubt that there's a spell checker outside of Dudley that would pick up Gornal, or Gornall!! In fact the spell check in Firefox recognises neither !! which is no surprise.

Here's wishing City the very best of luck tomorrow. I shall be there plus two grandchildren, as we can't rely on second-hand descriptions of what's happening. We just have to see it for ourselves - good or bad!

After last year, good to say job done... Though credit to their two central midfielders who really worked their socks off, especially in the first half and dominated that area for long periods. But in every other area City were superior and Taylor probably should have taken another chance or two earlier on... Though the locals would have had even more cause to argue about a flattering scoreline. Not withstanding the fact their own team tired badly late on. Don't know about the official crowd;two open gates meant you could just amble in and not everyone paid... So no surprise to see B*ddy there. Reckon about 350 in, about half from Worcester... And that steep terrace was better suited to sitting than standing?
