but infinitely more chance than if we were playing at home......probably. Seems yet another credible performance, away from home. Unlike, when we play at the latter! etc etc ect For goodness sake change the tune and stop being so mindnummingly boring! PS. Well done City boys, excellent win Haha great stuff

Follwing on from Preston's summary of the game, it was amazing how many balls McGregor won in the air, a lot from Cartwright throw ins. I was impressed with both full backs, they were full of energy and covered a lot of ground.
Liberty Way is not the most pleasant place to spend a freezing November afternoon, and when your taxi back to the station drops you further from the town centre than the ground itself, well, it's just a good job we won! (At least it was a free taxi, thanks, Preston!)

Agree with Preston's assessment above, but would add that there wasn't a bad performance from any of our guys - the most consistent 90 minutes I've seen this season. Thought that Ryan Clarke deserved a mention for several perfectly timed scything tackles - slightly out on the timing and it could all have been very different - but spot on for every one.
Must say I was confused with Danks on the bench and Macca starting. Then the announcer welcomed Macca back, the Boro fans around me cheered, and he acknowledged them. As these things often go, he then played like a man possessed.
So, for that selection and other tactics, the MOM for me was King Carl.
I wouldn't mind seeing the Kingston Dons at the Lane for the next round...

Ho Ho. Learn to read, before you try to inflict your woeful 'humour'. "So this can happen again" The "this" I refer to is a Kidderminster win. But as you are so tetchy, I'll be more specific in future. You really must learn to get on with your own fans as well as those of other teams.

In the nonleague paper today it states that Worcester won with the last kick of the match. But this is incorrect. Nuneaton were allowed to kick-off again, then the final whistle sounded.
Well done the City.
The guy who sat behind me constantly barracked McGregor. You should have seen his face when the winning goal had gone in. It was a picture!!!

The game you refer to, WCFC were at home. Know it's a difficult concept to grasp, but please read before you then pointlessly reply. Will apologise for calling you a 'moron' , but at least give us some evidence to back this up??

The only people being 'boring' are people who are in denial of such & can't spell! 1) No I don't think our home form has been exceptional in recent years but I also don't see the need to state so in every other post, especially as some of the players probably read this board. However, unlike you, I am actually trying to do something about it. 2) I am not in denial about our home form but don't see the need to state so in every other post. 3) As I have said before I have an excuse for occassionally misspelling, being foreign. However I can usually make a decent stab at constructing a reasonable sentence. What is your excuse? 4) Boring? Yep fair enough, but that is why I don't write on here very often. Again, what is your excuse?

A trifle pedantic, Tony, but technically correct. It is impossible to win a game with the last kick of a game, as it has to restart before the final whistle can be blown. Yesterday was just such an occasion.

One of my aims with the matchday music is to try and make the players feel more at home, and therefore more comfortable, at the Lane. To try and achieve this I play music that they like, or are likely to like, during their warm up. I get my information from the Q&A at the back of the programme which asks what is currently on their ipod's (I did request Carl, who thought it was a good idea, to pass on an email on the subject to each player at the start of the season but never had any answers, but then he has had quite a lot to do and probably forgot). It is only a little thing but you have to start somewhere, and I did spot Marc McGreggor playing air guitar to the Smiths.

"It is impossible to win a game with the last kick of a game..." - No it's not; if a penalty is awarded right at the end of time added on the game has to be extended to allow the penalty to be taken. That would then be the last kick of the game.
That apart I am so glad to have been wrong about the outcome. A great result at a difficult place to go. Full marks to Carl for the team selection.
Here's hoping for a good draw now.
