On Saturday the Club is trialing a promotional experiment using Bluetooth.
If supporters leave their mobile phones with their Bluetooth facility switched on, they will receive messages from the Club during the game.

A king? more specifically - King Harald Bluetooth He was a Viking bloke who united the kingdoms of Denmark, Sweden and Norway The Bluetooth logo consists of the Nordic runes for his initials, H and B

I know it is only an experiment, but who would want Bluetooth when the team is playing at home, and you are in attendance?

Its a promotional marketing tool to send things to mobile devices so would only be able to be used at home. Incidentally, where are they planning to house the device and what is the range as most peoples mobile devices are limited in range with Bluetooth?
We trialled a similar device at the door of a city centre pub that sent bluetooth messages regarding drinks promotions etc to potential customers as they passed. For most, they either didnt have their Bluetooth set to on or they only realised they had been sent a message a long way past the establishment............
By the way, have you heard of the Hereford version of Bluetooth? Its called Brown teeth!!! hehehehe!!

I would anticipate they will include forthcoming games, promotions, news, links etc. However (depending on the broadcast numbers), there are several commercial avenues with adverts etc being able to be broadcast, even video clips, (however I think that this might be too sparcely accepted within the City crowd to be effective....?)
Along with the pda/ mobile web content (Well done Wayne!) It's good to see we are looking at new things though, after my experience it's a welcome change!!!
